1.4 Billion is a reasonable amount of money and you should at least have numbers in the 10's of thousands if not upto into the 100,000's of thousands.

With these numbers you are practically begining a nation to invade.

OOC: On the other hand, if you want a nation to invade, just commit an atrocity or two, and I'll be happy to oblige.

Edit- It's also possible that he's concentrating insanely on naval and air power, as this just appears to be infantry.

That's good to hear!

Your total government budget is, as of today, 5,237,159,592 Royal Pounds*. That seems like a very great amount, but it takes 10.0632 Royal Pounds to Constitute $1 USD. Thus, your total budget is actually $520,426,861.44.
You currently devote 21% of your budget to the military; if this is good with you, then you spend $109,289,640.90 on your military.

Your current populaton is 8 million. Based off the idea that no more than 5% of your population can be in your standing military without serious issues, then you can have 400,000 people in your military (though I would not advise that much at this point)

These are just some starting numbers. We will have to work out more later.

EDIT: One more thing to add. The Errikan Company Weapson produces military and civilian supplies, and is the largest military supplier in Mucro. They can open all of their markets to you, providing you with access to massive quantities of high quality military equipment fast and at highly competetive prices. If you wish, they can open factories in your nation, employing your people, and providing you with a large domestic production which would greatly aid your military development while helping your economy.

Well, I do not know how much each Lepoard 2 costs. However, I would strongly advise against placing all of your funds into tanks; there are many parts to a balanced military.

If you really want a well organised military with detailed lists of what you need then it pays to use large scale formations as your biulding blocks i.e. Divsions or Brigades

There are 2 ways of working out how many divsions/brigades you should have, the easiest way is to allow yourself 1 Divsion for every 15-25million people your nation has (assuming western levels of training and equipment, the number varies depending on how much of the defence budget goes on the army as opposed to other arms like the navy and air force, of course if you want a huge mob of conscipts you can of coruse afford more).
the second method involves figuring out exact servcie budgets and personnel spending and cna be quite convoluted.

At a population of 9million you will liekly find it hard to feild more than single brigade so i woudlr ecomend you start with an Armoured brigade, which based on the modern Bundeswehr Heer should consist of:
HQ Company
Signal Battalion
Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion (about 40 Fox/Luchs plus a few UAVs and various trucks)
Armoured Battalion (42 Leopard 2s)
Mechanized Infantry Battalion (40 Marders/Pumas)
Mechanized Infantry Battalion (40 Marders/Pumas)
Engineer Battalion (various engineering vehicles and trucks)
Logistics Battalion (various trucks and jeeps etc)

With this as a biulding block you could add either mroe of the same formations to form an Armoured Divsion or perhaps prefferably add additonal types of brigades such as light infantry, artillery, or aviation.
