Today, the Constantinalian Imperial Army invaded Macedonia, sparking the 'Invasion of the Balkans'.
Due to our superior weaponry, we expect to be in Sofia within weeks or even days.
The Constantinalian Airforce has begun to attack and destroy Bulgarian tanks and troops from the air.
Our new MiG-21s perform excellently against enemy tanks.
This shall be a glorious day for Constantinalia.

The reason sir? For Empire, the most legitimate reason you can get. Macedonia has been a thorn in our side forever; proposing sanctions for the most trivial reasons, threatening war..so we thought we would start our war of expansion against them.

"So, our Slavic comrades are being taken by these jerk-offs in Constantinalia?" Premier Cohen asked, being an Eastern Slav himself.
"Yes, we believe they might try to invade Greece, Yugoslavia, Romania, or Albania next." Admiral Popinski was reading papers, holding a can of Coca-Cola.
"Write them a nasty letter and say that if they don't cut down we're going to be partying like we're in Kossovo in 2003."

Stop your Balkan invasion. Shall one Slav's blood be poured on any area south of the Danube, or for that matter anywhere, military intervention on the behalf of the Slavic Federal Republic will occur.

The recent invasion of the Balkans by the Constantinalian Goverment flies in the face of Otagia's previous warnings against hostilities in this region. Therefore, the Regency has no choice but to formally declare war against the Empire of Constantinalia. "No, well, conventional war is out now."
"I'm sure the other two guys can take care of Constantinalia by themselves. Besides, our troops may be needed elsewhere, like Royala Isle for example." another advisor suggested.
"For now. But if they get in any kind of trouble 'deterring' Constantinalia from their invasion, we're going in there like a steamroller. I promise you that." the Czar slammed his fist on the table, causing the wood to splinter. "Dammit. Get me a new table."

What with all the paperwork for the Desert Ford project, the Ehznoist resurgence, and monitoring the situation in British Londinium, this really wasn't what he needed. It read-
Official New Aesonic statement
Let me make myself perfectly clear. If you carry out this ill advised scheme, the Holy Confederacy will take great pleasure in destroying your military, and then occupying your homeland, and placing each and every person involved in the aformentioned obscenity against humanity on trial in an Aesonic court.
We, probably along with the other nations which have expressed a natural interest in putting an end to this outrage, divide your land up, and occupy it until we are satisfied that we have installed a more sane and reasonable government.

Apparently you have inhereted the glowing intellect of your namesake. Let me make myself perfectly clear. We are not invading Macedonia. We are defending it's sovreignty against the likes of you. Above on the M1, the Nakils of Ashlynn's armored legion rolled past, flanked by column after column of Nezumi Oni, a full pair of mechanized legions. Kurita smiled, the thousands of soldiers under her command moving to serve the Regency. Shaking her head, she dropped back into her command Nakil, and back into the radio set.

OOC: If you insist, but I hardly see how a nuclear exchange "defends" you, considering you kinda get glassed instead of simply being occupied...
IC: Fleet Admiral Anton Dreich looked down over the tactical display, real-time satellite images displayed and enhanced by the Antonius' neural nets. Humming to himself over the bickering of his junior officers, Anton took in the situation. The Constantinalian territories encompassed Crete, Malta, Cyprus, and the Balierics, not to mention Turkey and Bulgaria. And intel reported that they had just acquired a quintet of old nuclear cannons.
"Mike? Get me the specs on those Basillica guns, will you?"
Dreich's XO nodded, quickly squirting the data over to the tactical display, where it hung superimposed over the map. Nodding, the admiral typed a few quick parameters into the computer, and watched the network go to work.
The spy-sat network was vast. Built up over sixty years of Otagian history, Dreich could write a treatise on the sex life of the lower Mongolian ant, complete with illustrations on every page, without ever leaving his vessel, if he were so inclined. Right now, he put Antonius' neural nets to work again, along with the rows of Savants sitting along the bridge. They poured over the incredible detail, deep-scanning the area for the five massive guns. It wouldn't be long before their locations were known.
Dreich went back over his fleet deployment for the last time. A group of ASW ships, plus a substantial escort, were currently guarding the Strait of Gibralter, preventing Constantinalian vessels from coming or going from the Mediterranean. Another identical group stood watch over the Suez Canal. Backed up by a group of Overwatch artillery legions, nothing would be leaving the Sea.
Meanwhile, half of the remainder (including Antonius sat at rest in the Aegean, watching for Constantinalian action along the Macedonian front. The others were resting along the coast of Libya, prepared to move and strike at Crete or Cyprus at a moment's notice. All were at full nuclear readiness due to the possible threat of Constantinalian nuclear attack, spread wide, with no more than one or two ships vulnerable in any strike.
An eight of Overwatch had been assigned as a garrison for Macedonia, while the rest was poised just out of range of the Constantinalian border, on high alert, ready to move across at the drop of a hat. Tactical bombardment capabilities had been deployed along the front, their theatre-ranged missiles prepped to take down any nearby nuclear threats once they became apparent.
Overhead, a large amount of the ORA's orbital assets had been deployed. Enough Brilliant Pebble systems to defuse the entire American Cold War had been nudged into geo-sync, and the ever-present Falling Star sats loomed menacingly. A cadre of killer satellites were present as well, prepared to quickly deal with any enemy orbital threats that arose.
Once the locations of Constantinalian nuclear assets had been discovered, a quick tactical strike, from the missiles of Overwatch and the fleet and the guns of Antonius, would castrate their nuclear capabilities, rendering them impotent. Then Overwatch would storm in, under heavy cover from the 6th's guns and air support, sweeping into Istanbul to allow the Fleet safe access to the Black Sea. From there, the country would quickly be overcome by the Otagian forces.
It was a good plan, it had the agreement of his normally quarrelsome staff, and even the Samurai attache liked it. Still, as the data flowed in, he knew one thing:
The first casualty of any battle is the plan.
OOC: Right, Sixth Fleet is composed of the Antonius, two dozen Arbites-class battleships, thirty Mayu-class super carriers, 115 Rampart-class cruisers, 220 Rei-class Destroyers, 110 Bushi-class AAVs, 40 Yami-class attack submarines, and 15 Shokushu no Tegome-class ballistic submarines. The Kremlin. Moskva, Soviet Union.
Soviet President, Alexis Chernysheva sat with a worried look upon her face, having just become the newest president of the Soviet Union — albeit a female one at that — she had a rough challenge to endure. As soon as the Minister of Defense called she sighed aloud "What the fuck is it now?!" and put him on speaker phone. Grigori Kuznetsov, the Minister of Defense was taken back by her query. After composing himself, he himself sitting at his own desk in Kiev delivered the news. "Miss President, it seems that we have a very dire problem to our southwest, the Bulgarians have began an invasion of Macedonia. With the current build up of military in the area, we cannot guarantee the stability of the region if a full-scale war erupts. Which is why we should act now, if nothing is done to intervene in this situation we could very well have their forces on our doorstep, it is only in the best interests of the Soviet Union that we put some forces into active duty as a police force — for now..."
Alexis considered it for a few minutes before responding "Alright, but if this does break out into a full-scale war, I want forces to be sent to defend Macedonia, and of course our allies Serbia."
OOC: I am entering this conflict, like it or not.

"It would seem so," agreed the adjutant, "this does pose a threat to us. Constantinalian territory is not far from us, and if they continue to expand..."
"Quite so, quite so," nodded the Fuhrer. "Very well, let's rattle some of our sabres shall we? Have ten 2nd Echelon divisions brought up to combat-readiness, and send out the usual messages. Demand a withdrawl, retaliation...blah blah blah. Oh, maybe have the Air Force draw up plans for a strike on Cyprus?"
"As you will. Heil Skgorria!" saluted the adjutant.

OOC: I knew one of you would take up my offer. But interestingly it was via Telegram, I understand secrecy.
The Borei-class submarine, Patient Reward, had sailed to Gibraltar and was already coming back when it got the message to launch 3 missiles. It moved up to launch depth, it slowed down. It was a partly cloudy day and you could see for miles. It would be no surprise if anyone near the highly trafficed strait wouldn't see the seas boil and 3 massive simultaneous plumes of smoke. From there 3 lances of fire soared out toward their targets.
These were Bulava Quasiballistic missiles, the latest in ballistic missile technology. Stealth, ECM, decoys and maneuverability along with a 6 warhead payload meant the chance of terminal stage intercept were small and it was highly survivable.
2 of the missiles were headed toward two large airbases near the border. Each warhead was only a small 12 kiloton tactical nuke but together they could create overlapping shockwaves and give the effect of a 100 kiloton device. The airbases would be leveled and radiation would ensure people would avoid the place for about a hundred years.
Oddly enough the 3rd missile soared toward Leocardia, it was aimed at a major naval base and its ECM system was designed to broadcast a single paragraph as it neared impact.
"Children should be seen not heard. If you meddle in the affairs of adults you'll receive due punishment for your bad behavior. Honestly, taking the aggressor's side."
Patient Reward sailed toward West Africa. There it would meet up with a cargo ship, move inside its hull and sail back to Algeristan under the cover of an oil tanker.

"So it's not a land based system. Do you have trajectories?" called out the senior officer, desperately pressing his panic alarm to wake up the Rocketeer-General. No way did he want to be the senior whilst all this was happening.
"Not for us sir, but we can't be sure. Damnit, we don't even know who it was."
The panic alarm did have another effect in that it alerted the Fuhrer, who immediatley ordered Condition Magenta. Places of work were abandoned and citizens dashed down into their bunkers, military units moved out of their barracks and away from potential targets, whilst fighters and bombers circled the Skgorrian airspace. The Strategic Rocket Forces was also brought to full readiness, and regiment after regiment of rockets were made ready.

As you can offer no real assurance that you will not in the future continue your acts of barbarity and violence, the only solution is to remove your power to do so. You have 24 hours to tender your unconditional surrender.

OOC: Almost forgot, where exactly are those Basillica guns located? Military numbers would also be nice, as well as locations.

"Unconditional surrender" you say? Why, he is the one violating the sovereignity of the poor Macedonians. Plus, I've practically deployed a large amount of troops at the southern borders of Montenegro and Kosovo. Please contact me before any "unconditional surrender" is proposed, if so we can pronounce a treaty in Belgrade?
