After some brief periods of hostility, the Questarian Empire is putting forward a request to Spizania for a defence pact - the Imperial Sovereignty of Questers promises to come to Spizania's aid if it falls under assault from foreign forces, if Spizania can provide the Imperial Sovereignty with a thousand tons of gold, with differing qualities, per fiscal year. The action falls under the governments expansion of the Pax Questaria, the policy signed by Act of Parliament that ensures that Questers must continue to expand its influence throughout the world, mostly by diplomatic and economic means but also by showing military power if neccessary.

Parliament voted today to ratify the defence treaty with the Questarian Empire, the vote, whcih was conducted without interference from the party whips, passed the bill with a majority of eighty two, after nationalist party MPs rebelled against the Captains Regent and voted against the bill
