A young tall but muscular man steeped up to a large open platform, the chrome white material gleaming slightly in the sun light, the air was filled with ecstatic enthusiasm , the sky was pristine and blue the sun light shown upon the man brightly and confidently, as he walked towards the podium, the man looked around , he saw many, many supporters, his brown eyes panned his people, his hands mounted on the wooden like podium. His some what rough hands rested on it gently slightly scraping against the wood , his hair was short and cut only covered by a blue, red and black officers cap. The rest of his uniform was the same color, utilitarian black , blue and red, it was rough and heavy set yet it was slightly tight. The man... was Robert Bastidas, former president – now newly elected comrade president of the United CoDominium. Behind him was the newly estated flag a symbol of an eagle and a hammer/sickle in the back round of federal blue , the communistic like symbol was painted on a red white and blue shield, the flag engulfed the entire scene behind him... He started to speak in a loud thunderous voice that reverberated throughout the entire area he was in, echoing from pillars buildings and ground vehicles around him.

“Welcome to a dawn of a new day comrades , our country has undergone an evolution never seen before, a government change has happened as you all know, the Terran alliance is no more , the fourteen systems of the old United Terran alliance has spoken and they have decided it is time... it is time for new to overlap old it is time.. for us to rise to power with our brothers and allies, it is time for us to commit to our people and build a stronger union, it is time to prepare for any military threat and to help our allies cause should they need us, it is time to finally time to put our country and allies first and foremost, we must begin this new era with a show of unity and strength, and I believe that is already happening as your newly reelected comrade president I will make sure our country grows strong , we stay strong, and we thwart any attempts by back water half witted nations against us, with this god bless the United CoDominium its allies and its cause!” he smiled his lips curving up to unveil a perfect set of teeth, he turned away walking down.

The speech was relayed around the the galaxy and universe, thousands of media outlets pushed the message forth. It streamed across the barren dark sky.

The Comm-Orb network as always (at least this time effectively..) picked up the transmission, and routed it through the nominal communications network, the signal processing through the Confederacy Territory, and via to the Core Realm, where a few days later it reached the Holy Palace Tree, and it's recipient.

Lady Funaho, Intellegence Advisor of the Sphere Council, took note of the proclamation with uncertanty. She knew full well the old TFU had been a possible ally in the Confederacy Starfleet project getting underway. But now with this United CoDominium, with an apparent, if the tone could be surmised with accuracy, a socialist detail and tinge to the statement. she had light reservations for future relations, but didn't see them as terribly complicated.

Yet...

The elder Gaian stateswoman decided to run this past the Council later that evening before weeknight dinner. For the moment, she turned the holoscreen back to a flick, investigating the atrocity that British Londinium comitted that caused a situation on earth the Gaians normally wouldn't bother with, if not for the Free Worlds Alliance anchor both nations shared.

And it had garnered the ire of the Sphere.....

President Sir Phillip Sinclair sat in Kensington Palace, watching a broadcast from the United CoDominium. He took note of it, though it would hardly affect the Commonwealth now - but one can not predict when future knowledge will become the crux of one's survival. Phillip learnt that lesson whilst serving as a 00 in the SIS.

He sent an internal communiqué to the Ministry for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, ordering them to establish relations with this new organization.

The Britannic Commonwealth, believing that your nation will serve as a major player in the intergalactic scene in the years to come, wishes to establish a formal diplomatic channel with the United Codominium.

the current Taiko, the former Grand Admiral Kimiko Fujitsu was listening carefully to this recording.

Since Z-day her people were scattered and although her priority was to maintain relations with the Kiribushi whose home was in Sephrion space she kept an eye on what was going on outside her world.

Kirisubo had been part of the old Co-Dominium and the 30 year old Kimiko had ascended to power after the commanders of the exploration fleet had stopped their world being dragged into a war.

So she sent the following message to Comrade President Robert Bastidas.

I would like to congratulate you on the reforms you have accomplished. In addition I would also like to remind you of the long standing links our people have already.

We will maintain our neutrality but there may well be occasions that we can help each other out.

I would also ask that we could establish an embassy on the homeworld so we can formalise our existing links.
