With the colonization of Cashiek through its first phase, numerous missionaries from various religions and churches have been trying to get into the country to try and convert the Drow populace. The Drow, not really wanting to supress the local cultures, just enslave them, has allowed missionaries to speak with the slaves once a month, but no contact with Drow other than escorts may be made, and any attempt to speak with them about anything would mean death.

Many of these missionaries, however, have insisted on entering the country to speak with the Drow about God. The Drow, fiercely loyal to their own pantheon, has captured many of these and executed them, save for the ones that weren't killed on the spot by the Drow listening themselves. The Drow has done little to cover this up, although there have been no official media reports of it.

The Kingdom of Bartonstein applauds your effort to eradicate these imposing miscreants.

His Majesty's Government, in the strongest terms possible relative to the situation deplore the use of violence and voice our disgust at the methods used by the most inferior race of the Drow in dealing with the missionaries of God. Today, President Kazansky had visited a training facility for the Allanean Boy Scouts Corps, where Boy and Girl Scouts aged 16-18 are passing their summer training. As we all know, Boy Scouts aged 16 or over are legally adults and can be deployed on the battlefield during a national emergency.

On the screen, President Kazansky appears, watching as dozens of young Scouts perform combat-like training exercises. He whispers something to their Scoutmaster. Within minutes, the Scouts fall into formation, saluting the President of the United States sharply. Kazansky nods, and salutes the Scouts right back.

“Good Morning, Scouts!”

“Good Morning, Mr. President!” - bark out forty Scouts, grasping their ABR-8 rifles at port arms.

“Why are you doing this exercise, Scouts?”

“To defend Allanea against godless communists, Sir!”

“And what will you do if godless communists do in fact invade Allanea?”

“Sir, kill them, Sir!” - a young girl answers sharply.

“And how will you kill them, Scouts?” - Kazansky smiles.

The Scouts reply in unison:

“TWO TO THE CHEST! ONE TO THE HEAD! GUARANTEED TO MAKE A MAN DEAD!”

Kazansky's smile grows wide, and he claps his hands with pleasure. “It's great to have such a wonderful next generation, isn't it?”

In other news, Kazansky had also commented on the regime of “The Valley of the Giant” saying, in part: 'One day, someone is going to smack these idiots a good one'. And now, to our commercial section...

How typically amusing of British Londinium to step up and defend what all right thinking and decent nations should morally and religiously oppose themselves to. So yet we see another reason to place our resources at the disposal of those with the intent to uproot the authorities of British Londinium and its allies of despair.

The Drow Imperium knows Humans to be an inferior species. They are slow to learn, live short lives, and their entire mentality is generally inferior to the likes of Drow, who are patient, long-lived, and superior in all forms. We do recognize the use of humans, however, and that they are not too inferior, and are useful and, in some cases, good allies and neighbors. However, our religion is far more ancient than any Human religion, which goes back hundreds of thousands of years, while your religions go back only tens of thousands, if that. The Drow Imperium, not even its people, will allow our Pantheon to be corrupted by human concepts of God or Goddess, as they know nothing of what it is like to stare at the handmaiden of a true diety. The Drow will not tolerate any attempts to 'Convert' Drow Elves, nor will we allow any humans to claim Lloth as their diety, as we are her chosen race.

We have been generous by allowing missionaries to visit our slaves, but we will not tolerate any attempts to convert the Drow. We have made this clear through law, and we have only executed those who have violated our laws. Otagia, being a member of GASN, should acknowledge our right to enact and enforce any law that we like, and we will not make any exception in the execution of our laws. If your citizens feel that it is just to violate our laws, then we will feel it just to execute them. Any missionary that decides to speak with Drow within our borders will be executed without exception.

Brothers and sisters,

Dark times have once more befallen God's Children. Once more the infidel has chosen to spread the blood of the innocent in the name of false gods; once more the pagan have been allowed to breathe the same air Christ once breathed.

A cruel and unholy race, the Drow, have taken up the sword in the name of Satan against those spreading Christ's Word to the heathen. They have made many a martyr in the past days, and I say to you, this cannot stand any longer! As Peter the Hermit, bless his name, once said many centuries before, by the blood of our Savior, ye shalt slit the throat of the infidel!

Brothers and sisters, for far too long the faithful have warred amongst themselves for petty reasons; Christians, separated by slight doctrinal differences, have slaughtered one another for centuries! This is evident even today!

This day I call upon all who call themselves followers of Christ to cease making war on the faithful and turn their attention to the holiest of missions and the true enemy of the Faith; I call upon all Christians to take up the Cross, to journey to far away lands to make war on the infidel, an enemy who has unjustly murdered Christians of all sects in the name of evil false gods!

The door to the Imperial Office burst open in a flash, a young aide rushing in with paperwork. She slammed it down on the desk, a look of urgency about her face. The Emperor read it quickly, then skipping midway through the papal dispatch to an intelligence report attached to the bottom in the form of an orange sticky note. It had a smiley face drawn on the top.

The Emperor dropped the paper, and looked out the window into the Imperial City.

"Fuck..."
"Sir? What do you suggest we do?"

The Emperor looked at her, and smirked with his usual sly smile.

The main arm of the exodus came from Cravna, where at least 5,000 Catholics had taken up charter flights in response to the order from the Doomani Pope. Some were veterans of the military, others had never held so much as a steak knife in their life. (they would be used as human shields and suicide bombers) However all felt that united by faith they could make a difference.

And so the flights, chartered from Doomingsland, began the massive air convoy to the country for training in the art of crusade. Many knew they would not be returning home and would be dying martyrs... And for some off reason they were okay with this fact. One thing was incredibly clear, here, though:

Faith was a dangerous weapon in the right hands.

"My brothers, my friends," said Father Magus of the St. John's cathedral, "the Pope has given us a mission, straight from the mouth of God."

His booming voice echoed through the great crystal cathedral, which was the size of several small villages combined. The acoustics were perfectly designed so that the microphone Father Magus spoke into reverberated throughout the cathedral, giving his voice the powerful sound of an authoritative father figure. The flock listened to him intently - The Doomingslandi Pope was a man they all revered, as the chosen word of God on Earth, and if he had a mission for them, they must help!

"Our missionaries have been slaughtered, trying to spread the good word among the poor oppressed slaves of the Drow. The Drow believe they're God's chosen, and many a man has been killed at their hands. They rejected the word of Christ, and they claim that their false gods will save them. The faithful shall spread the word, and Christ's followers will claim the land, and all the brave men and women of Catholicism who wish to follow the Command, please stand up."

Thousands of men, women, and children stood up in a booming roar of applause and approval, and Father Magus said, "Then follow me to the airport, ladies and gentlemen. The Pope himself has paid for our transport to Doomingsland to fight the holy battles to come!"

Father Magus, escorted by some Manus Dei guards, walked down the main hall of the cathedral, followed by a massive horde of sheeple. He got into a waiting limousine, along with ten former military officers that comprised his staff, and they began to talk shop, Magnus being former officer corps himself..

In total, fifteen thousand Whyatican Catholics answered the Doomingslandi call, many of which being former soldiers or officers like Father Magus. Many gigantic air transports filled with Catholics left for Doomingsland that day, raising the ire of the government..

SIC:
"Sir, a Doomani Pope has ordered that all followers of Christandom form an alliance of Christians and go on a crusade against the Valley of the Giant." A midget secretary informed Most Enlightened One, Ciao Buddha.

Buddha's response was clear and as stone, hard to change. "Well, we have finally found a way to get rid of the 'God' believers, which is a pesky five percent. No Christians in the army and all those damned Christandom nations make it impossible to make them forced workers. Ah, order all five percent of our populace to take immediate flight to Doomingsland." the Most Enlightened One smiled, grimly, as if a dark shadow had come over him. "Do not reccomend that they join the Crusade, just inform them of it."

The midget secretary bowed, with an un-comfortable smile. Mostly out of fear of the Most Enlightened One's fearsome cold logic. And then out of respect and teaching.

The order was given to the only two churches in all of Buddha C. "The Followers of St. John", which had seventy percent of the 'God' believers and "The Ones of the Pope" which were a church of Catholic and had control of nearly thirty percent of the 'God' believers.

Soon all seven hundred thousand(700,000) 'God' believers where on planes and flew to Doomingsland. None knew how many would actually join the Crusade, but the airline business made a massive profit from the out goings, and soon thousands of Buddhists came into Buddha C.

The seven hundred thousand(700,000) reached Doomingsland the next day. Nearly four hundred and twenty thousand(420,000) began to become citizens and great houses and shops. Many others rushing to the catherdral of Pope Innocent the Sixth.

Another wing of the 'God' believers from Buddha C, mostly of "The Ones of the Pope" had joined the Crusade, nearly none of them knew how to wield a gun, but they were ready, able, and willing to learn. The total joining the crusade was nearly two hundred eighty thousand (280,000).

The Call for Crusade by Innocent VI had been heeded by thousands thus far; this was an excellent turnout in terms of foreign participation in what was going to be a largely Doomani and Questarian-led invasion. Cravan, Whyatican, Xharnian, and Buddha C volunteers to the crusade had been welcomed with open arms, greeted by cheering crowds as they stepped off the planes that had borne them to Doomanum.

The Crusaders had arrived in several different ports- Caesarea and Ephesium on the Crematorian coast, Elerium and Pavia on the Iurarii coast. Those landing in Elerium and Pavia would take connecting flights to their final destinations: training camps in Crematoria, while those landing in Crematoria proper would board trains,

An interesting problem had arrisen with the mass exodus of Buddha C Christians- only Catholics were welcome in Doomanum, and thus when non-Catholics who had come to live in Doomanum rather than join the Crusade had arrived, immigration had somewhat of a problem.

Seeing that these people had come to Doomanum in search of freedom to practice Christianity, the Emperor had decided to allow these people to stay for a short time in the cities they had landed in before they were deported to Questers, a far more tolerant nation- all of this at state expense. Doomanum had possibly one of the most religiously intolerant societies in the world: if you were not Catholic, you simply were not welcome to live there.

However, the Catholics that had come for the Crusade were more than welcome. Because they were not welcome in their own homeland, the Buddha C Catholics that had immigrated to Doomanum for the Crusade would serve in the Imperial Army Auxilia for up to twenty years, at the end of which they and their families would recieve Imperial citizenship.

The Xharnian, Cravan, and Whyatican volunteers, on the other hand, were there on a more temporary basis. They would be inducted as Auxilia until the Crusade had reached its conclusion at which time they would be released from service and be sent home- once more at the Emperor's expense. Those that whished to remain in service of the Imperium would, of course, be most welcome to do so, and recieve citizenship at the end of their service, but most doubted these particular volunteers had any will to do so.

The training camps the Crusaders had been shipped to were state-of-the-art: massive facilities in the middle of one of the world's hottest deserts where they would undergo brutal training. Depending on prior experience, they would be trained in different manners: those who had served in their own nation's armed forces already had a good degree of military instruction as it was and thus did not require as much training, and were generally issued brand-new equipment.

The only training they would require would be a bit of polishing on their own skills to bring them all to an equal level, lingual instruction in how to speak and understand Latin, and training regarding Doomani tactics.

Those without prior military experience got the worst of it. They were housed in the worst barracks, issued old equipment, and put through the harshest of training. These people had had no military experience before, thus they had to be broken in and built back up to levels of training acceptable by the Imperial Army. These troops were the most expendable.

In the mean time, the Imperial Army and Navy were busy getting ready. Emperor Maximus III had mobilized no less than 200,000 Doomani Legionaries for the coming Crusade, a total of ten legions, seasoned veterans of previous crusades, mechanized and armored, along with a large fleet to carry them to the shores of the Drow Imperium.

These units were quickly being shipped via railway and plane to ports along the Crematorian coast where Classis Doomanus Boreas- the Imperial Northern Fleet -was stationed. There they would board transports bound for the land of the Drow, although chances were the transports themselves would not set sail for quite some time.

More would be called upon if necessary- if the Drow proved to be truley worthy foes, Caesar was willing to bring untold numbers of men to bear on the infidel. This was Crusade: to fail here was to fail God.

Queen Elizabeth III made a broadcast on BBC saying that she will support any country thats needs it during this national crisis. After the broadcast Queen Elizabeth III called the british Prime Minister, Stephen Harper to get the Minister of Defence ready to send out any military they have to help wth the war, her majesty made a statement today that the United Kingdom2 will be joining forces with Britannic Commonwealth of Eurasia to help them with the blockade.

The Franberrian goverment is appalled at the actions of the Drow. Franberry pleads that all religions be accepted and treated equally. Franberry therefore does not officially support Pope Innocent IV call to crusade, although it will allow any Franberrian citizens that wish to participate in the crusade to do so. In order to punish the Drow, Franberry hereby establishes a trade embargo on the beforementioned nation.

The Grand Cardinal of Franciscopolis, one of the most powerful religious authorities, stood before the massive following.

We must crush the infidels that oppose the only God, the ones who slay our missionaries. Put away the petty squables, and concentrate on the greater enemy. The gathered mass cheered, a cheering that slowly faded, and was replaced by praying, hymms and song.

Hundreds of thousands answered the call, entire army units, corps of policemen, collectives of farmers, brigades of Local Defense Forces, all joined. Estimated at 270,000, the followers came from all over the land. Some were men and women from elite units of the army, trained in death, others were simple roadworkers, or office clerks, yet their zeal united them all, and, lead by their Priests, they boarded the large ships to Doomingsland.

Throughout Kahanistan, about 2,000 Catholics journeyed to Doomanum to join the Crusade. This was a tiny minority of the hundreds of millions of Catholics in Kahanistan, as most did not want to be associated with the Doomani regime, which the Kahanistanian government considered extremist.

Many brought their own equipment: Kevlar vests, AK-74's, Dragunov sniper rifles, gas masks, and even an RPG-29 here and there. As Latin was one of the four official languages of Kahanistan (the others being Arabic, English, and Hebrew), many of these would-be crusaders already had at least a working knowledge of the language. Only a few had military training; the majority were aimless young men and women who had no interest in bettering their lives through higher education or military training, and were mostly out for adventure. Most of them did not agree with the extremism of the Doomani leaders, but felt that the persecutions of their co-religionists had to stop. It would be up to the Doomani crusade leaders to decide whether or not to accept fighters from a nation whose ideology so radically opposed theirs and who, despite their religious convictions, would mostly hold views considered anathema to the Doomani Pope. However, even Kahanistan had its extremists, like any other nation...

The Kahanistanian military was also getting involved, but with the waterways blocked by Kraven forces, they would have to fly soldiers out. Not intervening was not an option, for fear of giving political ammunition to the Doomani leadership. So, 10,000 Imperial Marines reported to air bases in Kahanistan to be supplied and flown out. It would be some time before either the crusaders or the marines would arrive...

You know it seems that I have to condemn alot of nations these days. You, are no exception. It seems yet another nation of EVIL is alas, being evil. We utterly condemn your execution of missionaries of all faiths to be wrong, and quite frankly wrong. Therefore if any nation decides to invade the Valley, we will not support them, but we won't try to stop them either.

This leads me to a second statement, again it seems the nations of EVIL have left one of its members alone. What kind of an alliance is this if they leave their members to the slaughter? I wouldn't want to be part of this alliance, would you?

Again this just proves that their armies are not only weak, but they have no spine. I must also condemn the Doomani Pope for giving such a message of violence, as a follower of the Catholic Church I do not believe that is what a proper Pope would say.

Either way I wish to see which is the next EVIL nation who shall fall. Indeed it seems this alliance does not have much blood left.

Thirty thousand. That's how many Christians tried to get to Doomingsland to join the crusade. Seventy thousand. That's how many Christians there are in Nova Brittanica.

Twenty thousand of the would be crusaders had secretly gotten to the waters, each Christian armed and armored. The remaining ten thousand Christians were approaching the beach.

Most High Academe Andrius Sapienia was informed about the Crusaders leaving the country. "UNACCEPTABLE! Tell the Navy to sink their ships immediantly! I want bombers killing both the ones at sea and the ones on ground! Set up artillery on the shores to kill both the ones at sea and the ones on the ground!"

And so it was. All thirty thousand Crusaders were killed, never leaving national borders.

The Most High Academe of the United Universities of Nova Brittanica had later come on TV to the international community to explain. "My fellow national leaders. I have come to explain the thirty thousand people my government had to kill. You see, they were all armed, which is illegal, and ready to kill, also illegal. They were leaving the country, illegally, and preparing to invade another country, capital illegal. What's more, they had formed a militia, treason. Religion was not at all powerful in Praetonia. Although around 40% of the populace described themselves as Protestants at the last census, the Reascendant Monarchy had been unable to re-establish the ties between church and state that had been destroyed by the Grand Commonwealth three hundred years ago. Even the once-mighty Imperial Church of Reason, more of an organised anti-religion than a religion, which had been the official church of the Grand Commonwealth, had been shattered by decades of indifference and temporal prosperity. The great cathedrals built centuries ago were now tourist attractions more than places of worship. The service had to vie for time with guided tours and historical presentations to keep the church's cash flow in the black.

There was, however, a small but fanatical catholic community, running alongisde the more mainstream catholic churches. This one recognised the Doomingslandi Pope, not the King or a Praetonia Archbishop, as the supreme living agent of the church. Following their beliefs to their logical conclusions, all of these people wanted to see the downfall of the government, many wanted to see the King assasinated for his vile Protestant ways and some even wanted to see Praetonia annexed into Doomingsland to form a Greater Christendom. Some twenty thousand were believed to exist, and nine thousand - most of the rest women, children, the elderly and the infirm - took up the Pope's invitation to fly to Doomingsland to crusade against the murder of missionaries and to spread the True Faith.

The government was not able to stop them and, as most of these people were highly seditious in any case and their chances of returning were slip at best, it had little wish to. For most people, the only part of this that affected their everday lives in any real way, other than the incredulous tabloid stories, was a short-term 12% increase in Imperial Airways shares. In secular capitalist Praetonia, it was business as usual.

Derscon, for a being an "old guard" Greater Prussian, had a substantial Roman Catholic population -- just over two hundred million. However, only about a thousand of them - almost all young - went off and joined the Doomingsland crusade. After all, most Dersconi Catholics were more loyal to the Tsar than they were the Pope, simply because of Dersconi culture.

And, due to the fact Dersconi arms laws were nearly identical to Allanean arms laws -- namely, there aren't any -- most of them carried a full military outfit -- power armour, full assault rifles and ammo, grenades, various other explosive devices, rocket launchers, the works. Some even brought over a few tanks -- old M1A2s the Dersconi government auctioned off in order to stop having to pay maitenence costs. (The government still holds a full one million M1A2s not as of yet sold off, and is still keeping the offer open until they're all gone).

They were all being carried over on one of the seven old Arkhangel duel-flight deck aircraft carriers. It was the HMS Raphael, the first one of its class built, auctioned off to a rich family, who happened to be Roman Catholic. It was fully stocked with a compliment of old F-35 JSF fighters that were also bought at a military surplus auction, some old F-18 Hornets (bought at the same auction), and a collection of missiles -- including one sub-launched ballistic missile tipped with a few thermonuclear warheads that was modified to fire off of the carrier.


The Dersconi military itself, however, was not mobilizing. Instead, its strategic assets in the sea, on the land, and in space (OOC: Not FT, mind you. Have an inquiry? Send it via telegramme, don't spam this bleeding thread.). The Kremlin seemed to show no real interest, but special operations forces all across Derscon -- and, like every other military installation, deep underground -- were mobilizing and preparing to deploy.

Derscon, like usual, will probably not lead the fight, but stay in the background. Unless, of course, Valley of the Giant does something stupid. Then it will lead the Greater Prussian Empire into battle. With both Derscon and Allanea as allies and Prussians, it wouldn't be pretty.

Constantinalia is shocked at these disgusting and barbaric acts by The Drow, and condemns you and cuts off any trade we may have had. We are also proposing to put sanctions upon you. The Pope, residing in Constantinalia condemns you wholly and encourages a revolution in your lands.

I find it highly appaling that anyone would slaughter a person who simply wants to spread their own beliefs, and possibly do some good while he or she is at it. These missionaries are peaceful people who do not wish for conflict and simply desire to do what they believe is their duty.

I find it furthur appaling that this nation follows such low standards and practices as "species superiority".

I must stand by my ally's actions and condemnations of your nation for these above reasons. I am diverting an assault task force from its return to the area should it be need, and should hostilities breakout.

Dorium (Occupied Dorandor), Czardas

It doesn't take much to get Dorii inflamed. The smallest slights, real or imagined, to Catholicism provoke protests and rallies in the streets, while Manus Dei operatives take advantage of the excitement to establish themselves as street preachers, furthering the chaos and generally making it difficult for whatever authority happens to be in charge there.

Of course, a Papal Crusade is a no-brainer, and barely after the last words of Innocent VI have floated into the night (Or day, as it happens to be at the time), something between twenty and thirty thousand Dorii are fighting to get into transport planes bound for wherever the Doomani and/or heretics might happen to be. Crowding and shoving are as frequent as fistfights and even the odd firefight; there are only so many planes, and many of them are outdated, but the Dorii are determined that God will help them defeat the Enemy by any means (or else!).

Many still clutch their beaten old DAC-97s and DR-83s, relics of the war, while others carry ATGMs and mortars. Some have little but automatic pistols and ammo; at least one has been seen carrying an authentic spear dating back to the days of Barik Ursinus, the ancient warlord who once ruled half of Czardas, long before it came to be known by that name.

The Dorii transports fly in a triple line through their designated air corridor, won after a harsh legal battle with the Czardaian government; within a few hours they will be amongst their comrades in soul, fellow Crusaders. The sound of "progressive", or at least really weird, rock played on the planes' stereo systems floats down as far as the ground, where people are annoyed because they are trying to listen to metal. The music is meant to keep the Dorii's spirits up as well as mark them, because no-one else listens to anything in 17/4 involving a bass clarinet choir. No, seriously.

It is difficult for the Czardaian Government to control Dorium, mainly because Dorium is independent in all but name at the moment; therefore a brief statement is issued to the effect that Czardas is not officially involved in the matter and these are private citizens who have chosen to join it, an action neither sanctioned nor condemned by the Czardaian Government. In short, a meaningless political message. Governments are good at writing those.

Regardless of your numbers, you will all find your attempts to destroy us, inevitably, completely unsuccessful. The Old City of Sch'Naggio has been invaded by human-Even Elven-armies with larger populations than the city itself-None has ever succeeded. This 'Crusade' is unwise, and any attempts to invade our nation will only end in pain and suffering for your armies.

I will not apologize for my comment-Scientifically, Drow are vastly superior to humans, and our culture gives Drow Elves an edge in any situation beyond the average human, and many of your extraordinary ones.

Also, we have not been simply blindly killing Christians or anything of the sort. If any Drow wishes to listen to a missionary's rabble, they may attend a sermon or mission elsewhere, but we will not allow *our* religion to die for the sake of yours. Lloth is not intrusive, she is exclusive. We ARE allowing missionaries to enter our nation. Over two THOUSAND missionaries are in our nation right now, whether it is running their buildings or preaching. We are allowing them to speak with the natives of Cashiek. We are allowing our slaves to continue their cultural practices and allowing their culture to change if they want it to do so.

The problem here is illegal immigration. Missionaries are slipping into our borders and preaching to our people in the streets. This is unacceptable, and execution of illegals has been practiced for centuries. A visit to our nation requires a host House, a purpose, and a timetable for the stay before visitors are allowed, except for large trade deals. Illegals who slip into our cities have always been executed, sometimes enslaved by whomever they were caught. In our nation, it is seen that we are not persecuting Christians, we are executing criminals. Such missionaries are very successful within the Slave population anyways, and makeshift churches are being constructed.

Also, the Duergar Dwarves-Which number in at about forty million-have allowed missionaries to speak with them in their settlements, as Royal decrees have no weight upon them.

I know that there will be some doubts-However, in mercy and good faith, there are approximately 2 million Christians in eastern Cashiek who were of the faith before we claimed it as our own. As a token of goodwill, we will allow them to leave Cashiek for life elsewhere. In addition to this, we will make a new policy of imprisonment and extradition for the first intrusion, and then a second offense is punishable by death instead of death upon arrival. Had the Monarchy never existed, mind you, these offers would never have been made.

If you are intent on your fanatical war, then you shall have it, and you shall pay dearly for attempting it, and the moment the first shots are fired, every legal missionary in the Valley of the Giant will be extradited to their country of origin, never to return, and illegal ones will suffer worse fates than they do now.

Actually, it's not a group of nations that's attacking you. It's a religious movement of insane fanatical Catholics living in, but not in any way representing, about 24 countries. It's also practically impossible to dissuade them unless you have Innocent VI withdraw his call for a crusade, which happens extremely infrequently, if at all.

On the plus side, very few of them are actually trained soldiers; the vast majority are just fanatics with guns, like today's Islamic extremist suicide bombers. If that's any condolence. ^=.x&

Sitting once more upon his mighty throne before a long marble table, Caesar Maximus III began to take in the information arrayed before him by the commanders, politicians, and clergy seated at that table.

"Hmph, at least someone knows how to fight," Maximus responded,

"Oh, here's the good one. Two thousand Kahanistanis," Gaius Alexius Doomanus, one of Maximus' brothers and most trusted aids, said with a smirk.

Maximus chuckled at that.

"I take it they can't be expected to be all that reliable," he said almost mockingly.

"Not most of them, anyway, m'lord. There are a few truly faithful among them, and they've been assigned to the proper units, but at any rate..."

"Continue with the list, brother," Maximus interjected.

"Very well. A thousand Dersconi, nine thousand Praetonians, the Praetonians surprisingly appearing to be of great faith..."

This generated a hushed chuckle from the men seated at the table.

"Thirty-thousand Dorii, veterans of the Czardaian Crusade,"

"As expected," replied the Emperor soberly. He knew he could rely on those men, having commanded legions of Dorii Auxilia during the Czardaian Crusade.

"And...150,000 Xharnians, active duty soldiers at that."

"Excellent. How many is that total, Gaius?" Maximus asked.

"Let's see...seven hundred seventy-two thousand foreigners, Caesar, roughly half of them already possessing some degree of training."

Maximus nodded.

"Alright, good. I'll allow one month of training total...should be enough to give the unblooded ones some basic survival skills and enough to polish the skills of the others. After that we shall set sail."

He did not expect most of the foreign crusaders to come out of this alive. If the tales he had heard of these...things were true, then they would prove worthy foes. The men who had no training before coming to Doomanum would be nothing more than strategic meat shields for the rest, and the other foreigners nothing more than meat shields for the real strength of the invasion force, the Legionaries.

"Brothers, these barbarians are practically begging that we let them continue their slaughter," Caesar said aloud to all of the men in the room in his booming voice, "I say to you this: Kill them all. God will know his own.

Port of Caesarea

As the official headquarters of Classis Doomanus Boraeus, Caesarea had become an extremely busy port since the call for crusade had been issued by Innocent VI. The super dreadnaught Remus, flagship of the fleet, had just finished undergoing her refits. This would be the fourth crusade she had partaken in in five years; thus she had a highly experienced crew, as did the rest of Classis Doomanus Boraeus.

The fleet assembled in this port numbered two-hundred combat and supply ships; these would soon be leaving port in order for it to take in the thousands of transport vessels and merchantmen that had been pressed into service to carry the crusading armies to their target.

However, the ships here were just a small portion of the fleet. Other ports along the Crematorian coast contained the rest of Classis Doomanus Boraeus, which numbered nearly one thousand ships, including eight super dreadnaughts. Of course, this was merely a token escort force compared to the fleet that would be going ahead of the main crusader invasion force.

The destruction of EVIL’s navy defending the Drow Imperium would be left to the Imperial Questarian Navy, arguably the finest navy the world had ever seen. Soon the Drow Crusade would commence, and the blood of many would flow like rivers…

While the Kahanistanian crusaders had arrived safely in Doomingsland (safely being a relative term, given the hostility between their nations) the larger force of 10,000 marines was still mobilized at the air base. They would wait until the fanatics of both sides had all killed each other before intervening; no sense in wasting valuable military personnel while the fanatics were in the front.

However, the political climate (Kahanistan did not want to allow the Doomani government political ammunition with which to label them weak) would mean that the soldiers would be on their way within days. Their commanders would simply wait until the waves of fanatics were destroyed; their orders were to move ahead of the Doomies, assuming they intended to land.

Major General Ahmed Abu Aziz waited in the air base, monitoring the EVIL and Questarian fleets on satellite. His decision would depend on the naval confrontation; if the EVIL fleet won, he would have to land troops directly in the Drow country. Otherwise, he would ask for permission to land on a Questarian carrier.

Heavens, no. It's in support of the crusaders.

Upon hearing the news of the plight of Catholics but with Clandonian eyes turned to the war with Eurasia and the nuclear destruction of Nova Brittanica it was unlikely that the government could afford to send more assets. However, durring the last census 20% saw themselves as Catholic (15% as Jedi) and this accounted for around 120 million of the population. Many Catholic leaders of the Clandonian Church called for war but the government was helpless with the main fight in British Londinium still going on. A force of 50,000 volunters answered the Doomani call for a crusade, as was standard with Clandonian citizenship all had done three years of military service and in their ranks were many highly skilled pilots, gunners and former officers. These troops would be a valuable contribution as they picked up their G36E's, SA-80's and Sig 552's and other assorted military equipment from their days in the army and legal civillian held rifles and boarded jets and church paid flights to Doomingsland to begin the crusade.

Many looked forward to killing the beastly little elves, they would be on sticks at Clanon City by the end of this war, well thats the ones that survived.

What amuses me about the whole situation is how some fools, this antipope in particular, would worry about the slaughter of a few missionaries compared to the atrocity of mass-slavery. It doesn’t seem to bother them that thousands are enslaved, but kill a few preachers waving bibles around, and it’s jihad. Then again, it’s an apparently unrepentant spin-off of the same Catholic Church I remember not so long ago branding slaves with its own marks under the Portuguese crown, and so forth. Of course, your orthodox Drow is a mean bitch, and deserves a good, hard, kick in the head, and I shan’t be shedding many tears for them.

And of course, I see that in some of these backwards holes, the whole ‘elf hate’ cliché hasn’t gone out of fashion yet. Who can blame them? These Drow’s now recanted claims of superiority are facetious, of course; if they’re so superior to humans – whose achievements are innumerate – and this justifies their claims, then presumably by the same logic, the Drow will be seeking out a superior species to govern them – I volunteer myself, of course, I’m far older than any of their kind, and not atypical among Quendi, and I dare say I’m faster to learn and possessed of vastly greater personal power and understanding.

I wish them every success in beating the stuffing out of there rancid hypocrites, let’s see if they can do it without killing everything in sight, probably not. The Modern Milieu is disappointingly poor at that.

[Okay, everyone's blown this out of proportion, and it's no longer worth doing. I've made it clear that only one person can make an invasion, and that's Doomingsland, and only with the Crusaders. But, alas, nobody ever listens to me. So while the missionaries are still being killed, all linked invasions are now ignored. I don't want to hear it, just let the thread die, and I'll find something else to do. Keep the stain of the damaged relations, but there's no longer any invasions.
