Martial Law Tightened

The Aeson

The man was dragged up onto a raised platform by two Crusaders. His head was shoved down until his next rested in a groove on the wooden block. Military Commander Blak stood some distance away, on a slightly higher raised platform, surrounded by Crusaders. "This man," he said, to the large crowd below, "Was caught violating curfew. He was caught stealing food. He resisted arrest by the duly sanctioned Aesonic Enforcement Forces. The combined sentence for this is death, by beheading."

The man let out a small whimper as a huge man- unenhanced- raised the axe. It crashed down to a roar of approval from the crowd. The Aesonic people had been accelerated into the twenty-first century prematurely, but old habits die hard. There had been many bloody executions in the old days, and, truth be told, a large section of the populace missed them.
British Londinium

The Britannic Commonwealth condemns the usage of beheading as an execution method due to the fact that it is not cruel enough. We recommend utilising giant blenders to turn convicts into smoothies, which go nicely with eggrolls made out of hospital patients.
