This is a sci-fi suspense thriller set in Antarctica. If you're interested, sign-up here. This rp will be based off of The Thing. This is not based off the game Cold Fear. I didn't even know that there was a game named that, this was an accident
Artic Station Delta, located at Ellsworth Land, near the Ronne Ice Shelf is a scientific research facility, conducting various activities ranging from weather readings to excevation. There, scientists and researchers from several nations live and work; however, during a dig they discover something underneath the ice at Ronne Shelf. A meteor is recovered. This is considered a great discovery because within this alien rock are the remains of small creatures. It could change the world of science and finally answer the question of whether or not we are alone. Sadly, something happens, something of horiffic porportions. The alien DNA mutates and takes over its' human host. Once inside it takes control of the host. Now, the scientists must discover who is infected as they begin to turn on one another in the blinding snow storms. But more awaits the doomed people of Artic Station Delta. Will they survive? Or will the alien infection spread?

basically, it's pretty similar to The Thing, but with a few twists. Later on during the story, a Navy SEAL squad is dispatched towards the station; however, they're not there to rescue the researchers but are in fact there to kill them and destroy everything. To prevent the infection from spreading? Or are there alternative motives?

Avaliable characters:
Researchers
Scientists
Other Workers
Authorities
People from other facilities
Navy SEAL
Whatever you can think of
Alright, here's one big rule: There won't be many firearms except for the SEALs. No mercenaries or what not either. Most of the weapons will be whatever is on the station i.e. axes, blow tourches, crow bars, knives, etc as well as a few pistols and shotguns, no automatic weapons.

Holy shit! I honestly didn't know that. I thought up the title because it's cold in Artic and well fear is self explanitory.
What the hell are the chances?

Irmon works for Sardson University in Kirav. He holds degrees in Geology, Climatology, Astronomy,Biochemistry, and Computer Science. He was assigned to the University's Arctic Research Department and selected to join the Ellsworth team due to his uncommon endurance in cold enviornments. He is a technophile who's first instinct in a bad situation is not to panic, but to find an electronic solution, and then panic. Other than mental acutity and comfort in Arctic climates, he is skilled in hand-to-hand(with weapons type h-2-h) combat. In his spare time he composes techno music and plays the Scandinavian fiddle.

I know, this thread had potential too
Maybe we could edit the first posts to make it look more like a sign-up than a movie critique. It'd make it more inviting.
We could just start with our 3 people.
