Today, Nero Augustus, a longtime Holy Roman Senator and recently governor of Rome, was crowned Holy Roman Emperor of the Imperium.
The election was almost unanimous; the Holy Roman Senate voted him to be the Holy Roman Emperor with a vote of 62 for, 3 against, and 5 abstentions.
The coronation was a small one; After the procession and speech, His Holiness Pope Urban IX crowned him Holy Roman Emperor.

Nero Augustus's first decision was to dissolve the Holy Roman Senate. He did so with supreme authority, and in some cases military force; many senators left, but a few old stubborn ones were removed with military force and even some were imprisoned.
