24-12-2006, 06:40
The emerging though prosperous Federation of New Albor would like to place an extensive order to bolster our defenses against other like minded individuals and in case of an emergency... one never knows. Still, it is better to be prepared.

Of course we can wire the entire amount of the order immediately, but would like to ask if you would be willing to accept a concession of uranium in trade, say on the order of several metric tonnes... I will go ahead and wire the full amount, naturally, though we hope we can work something out.

Ok, on with the order:
First off, Biological Agents:
10 kg of Botulism at 1500 Pounds/Royals (thankfully our currency is based on Pounds sterling and not the weak dollars, though we will have to convert some weights since we still embrace the Imperial system)
20 kg of Anthrax at 5000 Pounds
10 kg of Ebola at 3000 Pounds
30kg of Dengue at 7250 Pounds
100kg of Cyanide at 6000 Pounds

Nuclear Delivery Systems:
4 Highlander ICBMs at 52 million pounds
12 Kenya missile systems at 48 million pounds

Chemical agents (our personal favorites):
100 Kg of Ricin at 7320 pounds
100 kg of Cyanogen Chloride at 8200 pounds
1000 kg of VX (big fans of the stuff) at 60,000 pounds

Aircraft:
4 RAC Curaiite at 120 million pounds
4 F-35 Lightning II's (nice job stealing them from Lockheed) at 168 million pounds
(incidentally, do you have any F-22's?)

That should do it... I might have to raise taxes, but this will certainly help in putting down that nasty rebellion and securing our borders.

Total damage: 388,096,770 pounds though I see you have a first time buyer discount of 50%? If so then the total would be:194,048,385... a bank authorization from Helveltia Savings and Loan awaits in either amount.

Thank you for providing such a service for the prosperous nation yearning for a little security and stability.

A B-17 is a really a bad choice. First of all it's propellor driven, making it slower then Jet Air-Craft. 2nd by the end of WW2 it was already on the way out for the B-29 which was on the way out by 1960. It's almost too easy for an enemy Air-Force to tear these apart.

OOC: Statistics are drawn up by budget calculators, such as this one (conomy.thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php).
IC:

New Albor: Noting the high price of your order compared to your defence budget, we can start shipping parts of your order to you over the course of the next couple years, in return for how ever much you see fit to pay yearly. However, this amount will determine how long it will take to ship your order.
New Albor
26-12-2006, 18:48
OOC: I checked the calculator... according to them, I think you might have missed some zeros... my defense budget is 15,208,704,000.00,(dollars) or 11 billion (Albor Royal) (stats from NSeconomy 0.7)so I might be able to pay for those orders after all.

IC:
Our accountants seem to have realised an error and find that the bank authorizations in their present form should suffice. (since the total of both has not even exceeded 1 billion pounds).

Kind Regards,
General Hamilton Cherbourg
Defense Minister, Federation of New Albor
British Londinium
26-12-2006, 18:53
New Albor: We apologise for the error. Your order has been confirmed and will be shipped in the next eight NS months. To make up for our miscalculation, we are extending you a Bronze Discount Card.
Skgorria
26-12-2006, 18:53
Noting that you have added strategic bombers, the Federation of New Albor would like to purchase a couple of bombers and not committ economic suicide by purchasing hundreds of thousands of B-17's.

You're rather boring *sticks tongue out* It was only just over 2 million, and besides I can afford it. W00t for spending over 70% of my GDP on Law and Order and Defence :D

As for how Skgorria got such a large budget, we're a rather big nation. (I also gave the military and police more funds and power in every Issue that I could)
New Albor
26-12-2006, 18:59
No problem at all and the Federation of New Albor is pleased to accept a Bronze Discount Card and we of course, gleefully await our order.

Skgoria: I compared my budget to other nations in the region as any smart defense minister should and found, for a small nation, that our GDP is quite stout. It makes us thankful for the blessings of capitalism.

General Hamilton Cherbourg

Due to a 3 billion dollar shortfall in our new defense budget thanks to the Brittanic Commonwealth Tarriff Elimination Act of 2006, the Federation of New Albor has decided to spend that shortfall with the nation responsible by bolstering its growing military forces:

Our Order:

Nuclear Weaponry:
10 Trident III SLBM's at 149 Million pounds
(can these fit the Swannerclass or do I need to get a sub?)
20 Highlander ICBMs at 260 million pounds
10 Kenya launcher systems at 40 million pounds
All need to be of the Plutonium variety

Naval Craft:
1 Swanner-Class Destroyer at 925 million pounds (why have one when two would look better?)

Other facilities/construction:
We are looking at building a medium-sized naval facility between Albor City and Bahia that can service a reasonable sized fleet and has facilities for submarines as well.

SIC:
Also, we are looking at building some secure nuclear facilities (silos), and would like an estimate on say, 15, ICBM facilities.

Total costs less 5% discount: 1.277 billion pounds + a 1 billion pound retainer for site assessment initial costs for the facilities for a total of 2.277 billion pounds payable through the usual means at Helvetia Savings and Loan

Kind Regards,
General Hamilton Cherbourg
Defense Minister
British Londinium

New Albor: Your order has been confirmed. Please expect delivery over the next NS year. Thank you, again, for your continued business and customer loyalty. The Trident III can fit in a Swanner-class destroyer's ballistic missile tubes. As for a port construction, we can develop a naval construction facility and harbour capable of holding fifty non-carrier vessels, and three carriers for thirty billion USD. SIC: As for ICBM silo construction, the cost will be thirty billion USD as well.
New Albor
27-12-2006, 19:08
Could I pay those out at 5 billlion USD a year (for a total of 10 billion per USD per year) for the next 6 NS years? (my budget will take a hit for a couple of years, but the facilities are necessary I think).
British Londinium
27-12-2006, 19:11
SIC: Of course.
New Albor
27-12-2006, 19:13
SIC: Excellent... 10 billion USD in a bank authorization awaits through the usual channels. We look forward to the new facilities.
