The Kigali Summit (EV) ATTN African Countries

For centuries, African countries have been united only through geography and common suffering at the hands of our white opressors. The white man bound us into slavery, and took our brothers from their homes, taking them to the West, to exploit them for all that they could squeeze from them. Then they took our lands away from us, and turned our homelands into unrecognizable masses of graves and bodies, once again exploiting us for all our worth. They left our lands in shambles, however, we have rebuilt. The golden age of Africa once again is upon us, and this time, we must not squander it. Alone, each of our nations is a finger, however, when we bring ourselves together, we are a fist that not even the West can defend against. Thus I invite the leaders of Africa to Kigali for a summit on the future of our contienent, and for the economic security of that future.

The Empire, and more spcifically, The Congolese Constituents of the Empire, here-by refuse to engage in this conference until the phrase

"For centuries, African countries have been united only through geography and common suffering at the hands of our white opressors. The white man bound us into slavery, and took our brothers from their homes, taking them to the West, to exploit them for all that they could squeeze from them. Then they took our lands away from us, and turned our homelands into unrecognizable masses of graves and bodies, once again exploiting us for all our worth."

is duly stricken, and an apology issued for the offencive statement. The Empire, under the Lords Vineyard and Reigning Regent Windsor, duly shaped the Empire and restored order in all territories, including that of the United Congo provence. Before the unification, and before Imperial Rule, the Congo was a war-torn collection of states, rulled by warlords and despots. No more is that so. In todays world, the Congo and its people are equals within the Empire, and face no discrimination.

As you should know, the Empire focues not on the color of one's skin, or one's country of birth, but on quality, intellegence, constitution, and stamina. Each citizen is assigned a number when it comes to job evaluation, education direction, JCL (Job Classification Level), etc, to ensure that no one is discriminated against, or any one given preference over others. We do this to ensure quality in our government, administration, econemy, buisnesses, police, military, etc.

However, military units are typically shaped based on National Origin, creating unity of language within our ranks, as the Empire is far-flung and multi-lingual. Also, we find that potentially threatening cultural misunderstandings are avoided in mono-national units. These units are, however, commanded by members of the same nationality. IE, if it is a congolese division, it is immediately commanded by a Congolese officer. Etc etc etc.

If the Empire, whose seat of power is in Zagreb, Croatia, has brought anything to the congo, it is Prosperity, Peace, Justice, and Equality, something most other nations have miserably failed to do.

The Empire is devoid of any differenciating influences, weather it be religion (Which is not supported in the Empire, and if it preaches any form of intolerance, it is stamped out), stereotypes (Standard clothing, etc. Scholars wear one uniform, while others, such as factory workers wear another set of clothing, etc. Except for recreation...) are stamped out where possible, and any sort or form of discrimination is intolerable within the civility of the Empire.

It is as such that the Empire, despite its cultural differences, is a single entity. No matter where the citizen is from, his brothers and sisters are spread accross the Empire, each citizen having millions of their fellows. TO insult the 'whites' of the World is to include the Empire's white population, and to do that would be to Insult a member of the black population of the empire's family. An entire third of their family.

So, if your policy is to stereotype, and prejudice against the whites of the world (As other 'races', including Arabs, Native Americans, Asians, and Africans themselves owned slaves in the days of old), it is a contradiction of the very injustice that you cite, the Empire shall not recognize this conference or the hosting nation that professes to exist, until the reign of hate is cut short.

Good day.

-Governer of United Congo, Olumide Chibuzo.

The delegates of the CWAA suggest Buristan joins the PAC, as that will hopefully progress into a great alliance in Africa. Secondly, the CWAA is willing to open its borders for trade now that the situation with the solitudo vomica has been contained inside a small portion of southwest Burkina Faso.

Press release from the Kingdom of Kopparbergs Africa

The Kingdom of Kopparbergs is calling home the Secretary of Finance, Mr. Joar Lundwall from the Kigali Summit. The reason is that there are more important things to take care of for Mr. Lundwall right now, as the situation in Western Africa has changed a bit.

King Mohammed VI wants to come back to the delegation from the Central African Federation later. He says that they not should feel offended by this abrupt ending of Mr. Lundwalls visit.

His Excellency, Chuck Dee, Dictator of The Armed Republic of Public Enemastan, announces the intent of his Nation to send a representative to the Kigali Summit on behalf of the Region of the Armed Republic of Public Enemastan, the Hardcore Jungle (http://www.nationstates.net/82908/page=display_region). The Armed Republic is a glorious, small but growing Republic whose homeland lies southwest to, and off of the coast of, what was once Liberia.

His Excellency inquires as to the nature of summit's initial agenda, specifically whether two representatives, one Brother Mike, High Chief of Affairs, and one Terminator Ex, Assault Technician, are called for to attend to matters of both strategic-diplomatic and strategic-military, or simply affairs of strategic-diplomatic importance.

Please telegraph or reply in-thread at your earliest convenience.

South Africa is glad we havent sent a representative to your conferance as a conferance based on beurgeoius rhetoric blaming the white man for all the problems in Africa is a very myopic perspective indeed.

We have seen African nations overthrow previous white regimes and substitute them with barbarious black ones just as bad as their predessors.

Slavery was rife in Africa long before the colonization by the Europeans. (whom founded the great nation that is the Boer republic today.)

we will have nothing to do with this....

Thank you and good day sir.

we veto their such entry into the pact. but upon a fair consensus with other pact members who want this particular nation in the pact we will begrudgingly accept the nations entry as the pact is founded on democratic principles.

The Emirate did not come here to bash Europeans for their actions in African centuries ago. Rather we look on this conference as an opportunity to open new horizons in African enterprise. If we are to judge this conference on its invitation, then we ought not come - as on its surface, it seems to reject an open approach and tolerance for the common pursuits of man. However, if we can break the barriers that present to us strife and hostility, we can appreciate the diversity of our heritage and mend well the wounds that formerly brought us apart.

That said, the Emirate is discouraged to hear much non-involvement at this Summit, and for reasons of inactivity, we may consider removing our delegation, as it seemingly does nothing. We hope that the CAF officials cann ameliorate this problem.

We will be damned before we allow a representitive, no matter from what nation he or she may be from, to inspect our lands, peoples, and econemy and to pass judgement on them.

On another note, we applaud the nations of P&H, and ALM for riducling this avowed racist conference. We hope that the other consenting nations in this conference see the wisdom of our collective actions, and demand that the host nation, Buristan, retract the said statements and apologise to the offended nations.

[ooc: hmmm, misinterpreted, but oh well...]

Seeing the work of this conference having dropped to nil, the Emirate is retracting its representative here, to project works concerning Emirate Economic Health to better use. We still believe in the ideal of promoting a greater African prosperity pact, but the efficiency of this conference has been disappointing, with the reluctance of outside influences from casting aside the racist tags that have been mindlessly affixed to its intentions with an opportunity to first and foremost mend the wounds that have been incurred over the years of differences.

We strongly encourage similar efforts to progress, as the Emirate believes that it will help improve the working relationship between countries in Africa.
