Greetings from the sunny Parodisian shores of the People's Republic of Cuba del Shark, litterally Shark's Cuba, recently we have successfully thrown out the corrupt and tyranical government of Hugo de Mesanza. In its place the new Republica has been set up to look after the needs and wants of the people. Naturally our size is a major concern, but we hope that with investment and aid particularily from the UN and Communista/Marxist countries, we will be able to expand and become a prosperous land.

Our main concern is resurecting the tourist industry that our nation relies on so greatly. So please come see our Tavernas and Tapas bars, taste our exquisit lobster, dance in our many dance halls or simply laze on our beautiful Sandy beaches.

What we are...

In the revolution, all transport networks, shipping and commerce networks, aswell as the armament works, were nationalised. The government was held by a military junta for a year but now the government, except for the Minister for Defence, has returned to the Civillian authorities. President Jose Maria Saragosa, is the head of the Military, but is elected by the government and not the people.

We are a forward thinking, secular nation. Due to our size and those of our often more hostile neighbours, we have become militaristic, but stilll enjoy many freedoms in our day to day lives. Corruption is low thanks to certain levels of bureacracy, though it must be admitted that our economy has crashed, we are making new ventures in order to rebuild our country.

There are no up to date maps for our nation just yet, but we are working on such ventures. So watch this space.

Cuba del Shark is a nation rich n life, but poor in money. We have nationalised all transport, health, armament manufacture, agriculture machinary fabrication and housing on the island.

Our nation is surrounded on five sides by larger, and often more hostile nations, as such we have had to increase our military quota and bring back conscription. It should be stressed however, the national service served can also be done with the civil police, fire brigade or as paramedics.

The liberties of our nation have been mis rerpresented by the UN, people i fact have great liberty to say and do as they please, with in reason. Racial hatred and masojonistic or Female supremesistic talk is not tollerated. We are proud patriots of our nation where people are rewarded on their role in society and merit rather than by money. We are currently seeking ways to destroy our class system though that is unfortunately in its early stages.

0.05% of our Population works out at around three men, but to us that is three men we will not give up. OOC and IC Yeah I mind, you realise that if you do then the 2004 Will of God Act comes into effect and I will just ignore you. But then if you just willy nilly say, I BOMB you what do you expect, now surely it would be beter to go a nicer route, maybe you could just sit back and realise that in a real world you wouldn't be able to do this without considerable protest from the international community. Or alternativly you could send your civilians across in order for them to go on hikes round our rain forests, drive in 1950s catalacs or perhaps learn the salsa and tango in our dance schools. Or simply undergo our fast pioneering surgeries?

Official Statement of the Island of Rose

We, in the Republic, are not amused by Genta Del Agua's imperialistic attempts at Cuba's Shark. Therefore we ask that he stand down before he faces the full brunt of the Rosian United Military. Including the famed Rosian Armada.

We would also like to extend a giant handshake of friendship to Cuba's Shark. We request an exchange of Embassies. With ours having the following for defence:

- 50 Soldiers
- 3 Soldatoya HMMVWs
- 1 ROH-1 (Blackhawks)

It is lighter then what we have in most Embassies but we trust that Cuba's Shark's military is quite competant. We await your response.

We gladly accept your contingent on to the Island and will seek to set up visas for the families of your Embassy in Luporra. I do request that you employ the local populus for the maintainance of your embassy, though we acknowledge you will have to do your own security checks on these members. Whilst acepting your troops on to the island, we also hope that you share our view that in time you will feel secure enough to remove them, but we acknowledge also that all Ambassadors deserve an entourage and honour guard.
