In an attempt to move along the Confederacy StarFleet Command idea along, as the humanitarian effort in the new Superclusters progressed, Lady Yurika asked for a formal message of trade sent this time. Sponsored by Lady Achika, the two hoped someone would listen with honorable intent.

:: ~ To the known civilized nations of the Virgo Supercluster-Milky Way Core Galaxy, and surrounding areas of intergalactic space. We of the Guardianship Sphere Alliance and Confederacy of Free Worlds request trade for technology and production rights for the plans of the following type of vessel series.

A Matter-Anti-matter warp thrust vessel with primarily exploratory and defensive capabilities, known to be used by the nations of The Fedral Union, IDF and Federation of Planets, unknown in status of use of such technologies currently.

Our intention is to constuct a true home grown starfleet for the defensive and secutiry concerns of our Confederacy Worlds allies, to give them a seperate identity, a source of pride and dignity that adds to the current version. We also seek to free existing fleet resources for other needs, as our scope of operations run across much of the Inner Universal Core, up to the one billion light-year mark to the Red Ancient Galaxy Zones that lie beyond.

We are willing to trade certain advanced technologies for this production right. Such would be a permanent need, and not simply access to foreign ship factories or such, as we would build new foundries and functions to accomplish our own aims. We are looking for more than just ship plans therefore, and request smaller craft, dock-yard classes and other overreaching technologies and functionaries that come to mind in this matter.

Forgive this lengthy message, but detail is warranted, as it constraints of internal imposed timelines along side our other operations in our allied realms. we appreciate those of benevolent intent, and proper thanks in advance.

As soon as the message was sent, it was like pins and needles for the Tactical Advisory office. If this didn't work, they might have to revert to a more basic ideal and consider 'hand-me-down' functions of their older WarShip and High-Mobile Fleets. They didn't want too, the current fleet was both historically important, and still quite effective for Gaian Starfleet needs. But it sure didn't give the identity factor the Confederacy Fleet needed.

Plus the warp nacelle designed starships had gained a bit of fancy with the Excellency as of late. Being dissapointed was never a good thing for him, even if it was taken like castor oil at times.

The Admiral did care about such things as close friends usually do. It was small repayment for his very direct help after Ruri and Hori were rezzed back to life. They 'all' were of the days on old Terra when they were still young and innocent enough as teenagers that were still growing. Bonds like that never fade as Yurika found out. It was a rare moment seeing the Power instead of the mere king he usually was, forging that mindlink to help them both, Ruri and Hori, remember each other, for family sakes.

Yurika knew how to pay that back. Now if outside help would come through.

Corporate interests were always a high priority in the repressive, yet still intensely capitalist Amazonian Dominion - and in the starfaring business, none was better then Imperial Galactica Fleet Engineering, IGFE. They were a corporate monster, dominating much of the business, only challenged by two large rivals who still were significantly smaller-and when the Dominion government got hold of the message from the Gaian Confederacy, it knew where to turn. A dispatch message was forwarded back to the Confederacy regarding the issue.

As for exploratory and combat abilities, that would be easy to come by through the Dominion's various manufacturing firms. Such types of ships are already abundant throughout the Dominion in extra-Shroud operations to foreign clusters, and certainly we could quickly have some for your purposes.

The message got to the Sphere in a few days, it wasn't sure the message got the intended effect by Sphere commanders, so further clarification was sent a day later, another few after to reach Virgo SC space.

:: ~ Know that the attention is highly welcome in this matter. We are not after simply individual vessel purchases at this time. We need operational plans for the types of vessels and technology we seek. The description we sent is not due to the kind of stardrive we actualy seek, as we'd eventually incorporate standard Fold drive technology to act in concert with the type of vessel drive originally designed into the plans of said vessels. We already took this much into account.

The idenity of the kind of vessels we are after is what is important here. Such a distinction to create individual pride and dignity for our allies who have grown and given so much is what is important here.

We realize this is muddling of words, but we have garnered a visual recording of the kind of ship types we are after, from a recent Comm-Orb signal we directed at the IDF territories.

Admittedly, our purpose is our own, one we intend to follow through to effective conclusion without fail. Technology and trade rights of current note are not of concern, as we are approaching the next generation upgrades of existing technology suites anyway.

One hoped the basic intent was imparted this time. In any case, the plans were already being worked over on fleet composition and approximate size within the first five year time period, during the same period the Planet Foundry would begin refurbishing many of the worlds stripped by the Dark Eternals over the Eons of their insufferable rule.

"Nothing?"

Lady Seto looked up from her work at Lady Achika, a touch suprised to see her. However noting from her expression, it was probably Lady Yurika's facade talking again instead. Still it wasn't all that, since the Admiral was dealing with the War still.

Last word, the front had cleared out six galaxies up to this point, though all of the area was still too chaotic to even call completed. It was a large chore for the Admiral, so she dealt just as bluntly with Achika instead.

"I fear nor. No new signals since the one from the Dominion, appologies."

Achika only nodded. She tried not to be dissapointed really, not like it was people's lives they were worried about, though all this could affect them, Confederacy wise. Achika was developing a motherly complex for her new charges, like she did/does with Tenchi.

Lady Seto however suggested. "Patience is a good motherly trait to maintain here."

Achika just giggled with a hand over her mouth, and responded to that with... "I've never been really patient."

The two just giggled the Bump away.... =^^=

There werre no laughs a couple of days later of waiting. There was a lack of much activity. This Bump had no smile, just concern...

..might have to consider using the 'alternate existing Federation' idea for one of the galaxies just outside my direct realm of influence, or even inside of it in my Supercluster area of operations, as well as just buy a few copies off Huntaer's Naval storefront and build it all up from there.

Yurika was uncertain why this one endeavor was garnering so little echoes, even whispers, after word the Amazonian prospect fell through. There still wasn't word either of the purchase agreement from Huntaer's vector either for numbers of vessel classes they were selling.

"Man, wish waiting patiently felt more patient to do."

She turned back to reports from the DE theaters, having read through the latest hours ago. Having functionaries and lower admiralties usually meant she only got the final summarized reports, and bothering with any inspections wouldn't do anything for her current worries.

She gave up for the moment and decided to go find Akito. There was always 'that' vector to consume time with. Plenty of ways and positions too...

Not much else for it....

It seemed the scene always centered on the Council chambers, but since so much filtered down from their actions and decisions, it seems a proper place for a moment like this.

The Lord and three Ladies Excellency were going through weekly realm status reports, more detail given on the operations in Corseria and Columbia as usual, when they were slid-thrown another Padd from across the room. Somehow it slid to a soft stop just away from the other piles of Padds being looked through.

"We got em." ...was all Yurika said as she walked in sporting another slight limp. Aleaic looked up as Arashi picked up the tossed portable display device to perruse. Aleaic asked.. "How much of it."

"Six vessels of each type for a twenty-five year period. We also got update for the models we didn't have a price for previously. Only a few minor details to iron out, we got a good deal from Huntaer for it all too, still under ten trillion credits standard."

Aleaic however pressed.. "Did we get plans?" ..Yurika shook her head, so Aleaic wasn't satisfied as he had originally ordered. "While we can simply reverse engineer the whole lot of em into our own unique makeups off the schematics scanned and all. I would prefer formal plans and data be still obtained to give both validity for the intent of the new Starfleet, also so that we can go with Washu's suggestion we go with that vessel generational simulator thing she concocted up.

The faster we can make new and unique plans of our own, the more independant the fleet becomes from all other similar fleets anywhere else. We need those plans."

Yurika remarked in. "The plans could still come. The time ship deal we went ahead and decided to give an either or option, depending on how much ill gain others might feel with us gaining a time capable vessel. We could trade that off instead for the database we need. We didn't get access to starbase and smaller craft types anyway like shuttles and such. It'd probably be better off for us anyway if we forgoe the timeship." ..she spoke echoing many of the Council's original objections to such an idea. The Gaians were not dumb to the idea of what messing with a timeline could mean. If not for Washu's stout enough interest for study purposes, the matter wouldn't have amounted to much.

It was however Aleaic's final call on that, and that was up in the air of the host offer's final own judgement. If Huntear didn't want to sell one, Aleaic would not only kill the option outright, but also formally demand no other nation ever be allowed access to similar technology for at least another two centuries, save unless an outside power managed to violate the Temporal Accord, and then only to fix any mess created.

It would be the only time the Gaians forced their word of will on other nations if needed. They prefered the other major nations simply followed suit, regardless of affiliation or alliance. In fact Aleaic regarded that much more important than acquiring either the technology database or the objected vessel anyway, making the other nations listen.

In the end though, Aleaic just asked, not ordered.. "Just focus on getting the rest. Washu can have her own toys made herself if given enough time... *heh* ...anyway."

Yurika nodded and left to find Lady Seto or Lady Peorth. Aleaic asked Tsunami to contact Lady Achika on the news. At the very least, the Gaian finally had their first anchor in their long term plans. They still needed other anchors, the database one of them. The more versions the better.

Meanwhile they wondered what it would be like to actually walk on one of these interesting vessels.

A transmission was sent. It was simple, to the point, and was untraceable, as it was coming from across the universe from another galaxy entirely.

To the leaders of the Gaian Ascendency:

A good week before finding it's way to the Comm-Orb network, then another few days to process over the repeater distance involved, the offer was considered, given the apparent intent on the fleet base mentioned, by both the Republic Starfleet Advisory, and the Commerce Advisories.

Eventually enough agreement was reached to consider trade for the material. A message was vectored back through the Orbs within another few weeks, taking into account the lack of Orbs in the vicinity. That was addressed of it's own regard by deploying a fresh screen of new orbs towards the given intergalactic Local Sector the message was determined to have originated.

We fully appreciate the intentions of this trade proposal, as we also presume it concerns our new fleet construction programme. We accept the terms, though we ask of what quantities the material can be traded, since our fleet programme will require large amounts.

Concerning such, we can allow exploratory missions within our territorial expansion acquisitions in the Coerseia and Columbia Superclusters to look for, assist in extraction, and share in use of discovered material located. This can be considered in additional trade compensation for the Luna Titanium ore base, in addition to the market price offered.

Also consider our Planet Foundry dimensional facility, in regard to the ore material atomic composition, as if rights are given for the molecular composition, new ore material can be infused into many or our reconstructed worlds, as they are reparied after the effects of the Dark Eternal Wars. Any new material infused will be allowed equal mining rights in the future, as long as ecological stability is maintained on refurbished worlds. This matter we'll retain in future discussion at the present time.

Finally, we thank your organization for it's offer. Such material in addition to our existing construction materials, both natural and artifcial in make, will prove mighty in use for the coming future.

It all still wasn't the database the Gaians seeked. They kept looking.....

The Gaians decided that Phase One of the project was about to begin, the first ships from Huntear's shipyards arriving soon, the project was decided to begin proceeding with the first reverse engineering phases crossed with the one scan they did have available from the BL starship.

They still were looking (almost franticly at this point,) for even a basic or basic databases, prior to the first reverse engineering and testbed subphases of the first phase.

They didn't want to resort to passsive scanning of any such vessels they came across, so word was sent to various Advisories to attempt, very delicately so, diplomatic acquisitions through various theaters. The Constantine Space Port would become one attempted vector. Foreign advisory was rather argumentitive on approaching the IDF as another attempt, but an apparent war could drag the Sphere in a war the Gaians resolutely didn't want to involve themselves in.

The change in nature of the TFU CoDominion made uncertain the vector in that diplomatic direction. Changes in goverment styles usually didn't mean forthcoming diplomatic ventures in the short term.

Many options, few drinks available......

After the word of the scanning of datacores the goverment of Trinity Blood obtained for trade of scans of their hypergate unit, between that and two comprehensive weeks of scans of active IDF starships of the types the Sphere was after, the Sphere decided that they had enough to formally begin Phase One.

Within three months, the first twenty ships arrived from Huntear shipyards, and the Sphere got almost everything they needed, vessel wise. Scans of the Constantine Spaceport gave enough to begin planning stages of new Confederacy Starbases, and where to begin preplanning and placement of them. The main placement was to follow the spiral proliferation pattern the Alliance used in Operation Harvest, centering on the capitals of Corseria Marasii and Confedersa Prime.

The inital goverment was in place, the fleet plans were laid, starbases were being constructed in holographic planning models, and populations were being located for the process of planetary refabrication. Security was excellent with the large Droid Fleet presence in most FGE Supercluster Galaxies. All that was missing was the final products.

In five years, the first of 'that' would appear. Plus the evolutionary Advisories of the various diplomatic, military, and even Council governorships would begin anticipating the needs of all aspects of the new Confederacy extentions.

Still, one thing was missing. The datacores wasn't certain to meet the databank proclimation of the Excellency. Despite proceeding with Phase One, the search for a formal and complete databank was looked for. The task however was almost done overall.

The new era of the Sphere was beginning. (There was even new data in the portal site now for the Confederacy, taking it's place alongside the Motherworld Sector data.)

Then came the day marveled at, if you care to note a simple data trade for such things. Word came through to Republic Fleet Command that the last message sent to the Huntear Shipyards commerce section, had gotten an aye vote of agreement.

Yurika about fell out of her seat when first word reached her ears. (And then a moment later she actually did.)

She however didn't immediately inform the Council, instead opting to assign a GFS High-Mobile OmniCarrier Class from the 12th Republic Fleet to head to the Huntear shipyard sector in person, to act as a mobile datacore. A single Eternus Class BattleStar was assigned as protective escort for the trip. The amount of the agreed purchase in credits was also aboard for personal delivery via datalink.

After delivering the amount offered and the signatory in Yurika's name for the shopping spree bit, releasing rights thereof, the vessel then established the formal datalink for the data wanted.

The vessel remained for twenty-four hours for all the data, and then the cross checking of the data for validity. As soon as it was verified, the two vessels cleared their presence, Folding directly for the Sphere Alliance Primary Holoarchives in the Capital System itself.

At least seventeen seperate copies of the datacore was made, and cross referenced with all the other data the Sphere had obtained previously, the Trinity datacores the now secondary copies. Along with these copies, others were made for the Fleet Commands, NIAS, Confederacy Archives, and even Intracel Mainframes.

Along these lines, the Council finally got wind of it all, and Yurika was happy to comply with explanations. The Gaians also learned the klingon designs would be refitted to full UFP standard, making for a seperate series of internal designs that would testbed the hybrid technologies for the evolutionary process of the new fleet designs that would begin to take shape within the next five years. The intensity of all this would drive designs to be evolved from all purchased and datacore designs to breed new vessel types, and bring them out of newly constructed dock centers in the new Confederacy territories within eight years total.

The first five fleet field commands were drawn up, and the vessels that arrived would be be reconstructed in the Confed-Starfleet standard before entering formal service. The data from the datacores would form the basic framework the new Starfleet would not only form, but demonstrate by their operational crews, the look of the new fleet in all levels.

This all would form the distinct backbone of the identity that would help forment stability in the reconstruction period of the two new Superclusters. This would help stave off discontent as the slow process of Upgrading proceeded, by giving the learning citizens their own ability to take command of the stars. 'That' would bring the new Superclusters closer to the Archonis, as the Confederacy Alliance there also underwent the same upgrades and fleet formations.

Everything was in place.

And then the day after the Council learned of this good news, the word of the GrandFather's passing spread through the Sphere Alliance like wildfire. And while the Confederacy formation plans were good enough to foster the trust wanted on their own, the passing of Aleaic's GrandFather, and what came 'after' it, would engender far more, a thousand fold, without even really trying otherwise.

The reason why the entire Sphere could exist as it was, would be revealed in ways that would change everything the Sphere believed in, to make it all even stronger than before.

Within a year of the first Huntear made vessels entering the Sphere, complied with all the other databanks, the first retrofitted stardocks and newly built starbases were beginning formal construction, and new vessels coming out of docks. At least one vessel of every class was now within the Sphere database from active scans, and were being reconstructed.

The first combined fleet of seventy vessels began testbed trials and crew training to begin fleshing out how the new fleet doctrine would work in practice. It was one thing to have vessels as wide ranging in make as a Sovereign to a Soyuz in the fleet database. Was another to make them work well together, which began showing basic flaws in the ship designs that could be improved upon later.

The first major problem encountered was hybriding the existing Sphere-celestial tech systems with the UPF framework. The new Luna Titanium material had a problem handling the heat from nearby running power conduits. New console layouts were not fully efficient for crew members in ship areas, the first attempts to hybrid a triad FTL design into the vessels, of a primary Fold Drive-Warp Slipstream Drive and backup hyperdrive interface were met with mixed results. The power systems provided by ZPE cores with Hikari Generation Seeds as in concert power supply units were actually interfering with each other's power output, and the first generation conduits had even on occasion, melting incidents due to the high power output.

The new Confederacy crews as expected, were not yet up to snuff as a trained set of crews, the first academy recruits gleaned from different Sphere military commands, so intial crew comraderie was rough at times. Fleet maneuvers were less than spectacular, as the different ship types did not initally work well together. Command and control admist the various ship classes was not effectively chained yet, so some ships tried to do more than what they were designed, an unseen occurance based from normal FACAF Fleet Doctrine.

A major bright point however was that despite the problems that cropped up, others not mentioned above included, the Confederacy was taking up the identity flag of the new fleet in great stride. A number of vessel commanders pushed their crews hard to make the new unproven fleet proud, as well as to find common ground amongst each other. Adding to this, the Sphere Council pushed all available resources into constructing many new assets to support the fleet, as well as finding willing recruits from the large populations of new Confederacy citizens to begin filling in the first formal classes of the Confederacy Academy on Confedersa Prime, at the time, a collection of preconstructed buildings that were barely more than a glorified city encampment for colonists on new worlds. The foundation of the new academy grounds were already underway, but would take a decade to see real results.

Despite the setbacks that were being studied for redesigning phases of the next refit phase for the same ship classes present, the Confederacy Alliance already were looking to the NAIS for new and evolved designs to expand with. The new NAIS-ASDB wing on White Diamond/Sapphire was online in less than a year from formal green lighting of the Project. They were studying through exhaustion, each ship class in detail, and restudying it even further, using the newest generation of evolutionary computers, designed to explore any design of any kind, in a dynamic manner using extremely complex droid AI algorithims that could take a design and transform it into anything, since even a vessel design might make for a need for any other aspect of application.

Vessels, shuttles, fighters, and even uniforms and personel equipment was being explored using these simulations, and designs that met basic criteria of Confederacy assigned think-tanks, and then reviews by random chosen citizens and military personel alike, would begin creating a basic framework of new designs to work with, over the next four year time frame. It was a time frame that would see unexpected improvements as the Sphere learned it's lessons quickly from this new project.

Almost at a frightening pace...

A simple wormhole opened and a small shuttle was spat out. As the Stiletto Flier streaked away, the wormhole collapsed silently. After getting it’s bearings, the ship orientated itself towards where the initial message was sent from and broadcast one in return.

Greetings from the Balrogga Empire.

We have received your message and we believe we might have something you are interested in aquiring. If you would like to meet with us, please respond to this vessel.

The signal was recieved by the MWCG border stations, and simply returned from local startraffic controllers...

I believe we can get our business done more efficiently if we were to conduct it where the authority lies. Direct me to where the authority on starship designs would be located. We have one you might be interested in and if you are, you would be able to get it into production immediately if we were in the correct location.

The return signal was actually delayed, as the commanders in the DCR territory had to discuss a bit 'where' the location of the design center was. Not everyone was truly sure where the construction processes were being done just yet.

Lady Ruri decided the best place to answer that question would be the Homeworld itself. And so after a few minutes of networking over the comms, a return signal was sent back..

The shuttle scanned for the suggested gateway and then sped toward it. As it neared, the shuttle continued to scan the anomoly, gathering information so they could understand their hosts better. The shuttle entered the gateway and...

OOC: @Gaian: I've got a couple questions and ideas related to the core theme of this thread.
First, mind if I send ships with instructors from my naval academy to help out at your new one? I can also send engineers and scientists from my ASDB (Advanced Starship Design Bureau) if you want.
Second, any objection to me saying the Enterprise deployed a Jump Node in your space? A Jump Node is basically a small beacon that allows my Hypergate network to lock on for a one-way trip (either your intervention or a second Hypergate would be needed to send whatever ships I send home). This idea is mainly to cut down the multi-year trek for me between our respective nations, while at least one leg of it.

OOC: Lol, that'll make things easier (I honestly had forgotten about the ITH network). Still, my Jump Node idea is still valid, IMO, as you don't let military vessels through your ITH and I could use some of mine to IC'ly show his new fleet some things about using ST-based tech and ships.

The good guys that made war too much. That was a rumor that had hinted across the ears of many Sphere citizens as of late, and the idea was, while not really shrugged off too much, was still deducted as ludicrous in the end.

If knights with swords and shield were too such to outside eyes, then bugger to them. The Sphere wasn't one to play the pacifist games that did nothing but lay their borders open to the very kinds of enemies the Sphere was built to stand against.

No one was perfect in any sense, the Sphere was no less, but the pride that ran through all levels of the civilization was not something that a purely warlike realm conducted, and expected it to be considered blindly.

Whatmore, the Sphere had a far more magnanamous side beyond the 'veins' others decided to see. In the end, the citizens ended up laughing it all off, and continued with the style of life the Balroggan starcraft would arrive to see.

The calander of the Homeworld placed the Sphere for more of the Core Realm, in a late winter spitirual moodset. The month of the Morning Mists had come once more, and this allowed the more spiritual side of the Empire-Republic to reveal itself.

The Balroggan craft was docked to a simply Scout class Jumpship, and through it, the fuel was saved as the mutual craft traveled through the Dimensional Gate, it's effects and sights just as unyielding and standard as before. On arrival through the final gate into the Capital System, the sight of normal commerce and startraffic tubes continue unabated in long strands of uber-traffic tubes that held millions of all assortments of small to medium starcraft.

However a different addition was the sight of slowly orbiting and pathmaking 'Shinto-shrineship'. A unique type of starcraft, no larger usually than a cruiser in size, was essentially a standard shrine on a platform, based around a large Hikari Shield class Treeship, though the size was far reduced in comparison to a real Hikari Shield Tree platform. As such, each shrineship was outright decked out in all the standard fare of a shinto shrine.

As the Sphere was not religous in nature for the near most part, the realm instead was highly spiritualized, knowing all too well the existences of the various celestial lifeforms, the Trees included, within the Sphere, the belief of Shinto style 'religion' held more sway over the Alliances than did other religions. All religions were of course allowed within Sphere borders, they all just were didn't have the same kind of sway as it did in other realms, the Terran sphere itself included.

The Gaians and their allied counterparts were too damned educated to consider otherwise, the Sphere in total had no prisions, but a REDICULOUS amount of educational facitilies. The spiritual shrines were more 'monument' themed than iconic. (In the face of actual Angelic structures, trying to mimic further was pointless.)

However an accepted belief in the spiritual helped alleviate where knowledge did end up failing, no matter how effective and advanced. The lessons of the Eternal War were mainly of note, but the always present whispers of the Powers were considered as well. The spiritual base of the Sphere therefore was an occlusion of beliefs, in a mesh that didn't really meet together, and didn't really 'consider' together either, but was still accepted noneltheless. In dealing with the unknowns of the universe still unexplained, such confused wordlessness actually made more sense when 'put' in a spititual context.

As such, the beliefs were centered on events like the month of the Morning Mist, and other events that were actually far more replete on the Local Capital Calander than one would suspect. (The concept of holidays was not a real need either, when one could relax and do what they wanted on a whim basis, and 'still' conducted themselves to the betterment of the civlization without usual fail.)

The floating shrineships were everywhere in the Empire-Republic, more than fifty alone in the Capital system, one of them near the transport Jumpship carrying the Balroggan contingent. The theme of the ceremony was apt, as each ship were also spititual conduits from the celestial realms, and as each ship trailed along, a long near cometary mist spread from around it, trailing for tens of thousands of kilometers. By now well halfway into the calander event, the shrineships had orbited around the Capital System several times as each shrineship moved at a still decent clip, making for a white milky whisp over a good amount of the visible System.

Not unlike a morning mist on a cold snowy day on a mountain side.

On arrival is what is seen, the Sphere enjoying it's nominal day amongst each other. Warlike indeed... heh...

Meanwhile the Balroggan craft is picked up on local traffic control sensors, and a message is soon sent...

Meanwhile NAIS-ASDB was now prepared and waiting. They were interested indeed in what was to come.

The simple act of gathering and making UPF-Bravo based vessel types wasn't the only infectious act being adopted by the Confederacy. Unexpectantly, the Confederacy worlds themselves looked on the goverment format of the United Federation of Planet model as a good ideal to follow. (With generous nudgings of Lady Seto on the Council, and Lady Achika for the Confederacy Goverment itself.

Within two years of formal CSFS (Confederacy StarFleet Service) starship construction, the UPF model was being discussed amongst the various worlds all across the three Superclusters, as well as within the Sphere Alliance holdings of the Virgo Supercluster. Discussions ranging from education and scientific proliferation, to social ethics and govermental law archetypes, along with civil and judical laws that run among in many forms amongst the bilions of worlds within the Sphere, were formenting in vast town hall style meetings of all sizes, depending on the alliance member, in as equal an effect as did the original discussions amongst the fifty thousand that originally took place prior to Foundation.

While no absolute perfect model was possible, and the myriad of worlds, distance from each other alone, would not trully form an absolute unifed goverment of any kind, the UPF model did in fact work as a smaller scale interalliance govermental model. Clusters of allied goverments and civilizations that simply coexisted with each other, depending on all kinds of inter historic relations, either from mere adjacent coexistence, or diplomatic contacts based on the many Gaian sponsored Trade Conferences that occured each year. The goverments with mutual consent, formed a version of the UPF model for each other, and created 'pockets' of govermental zones that would interlink based on the formal fiull Sphere Alliance and Confederacy model.

In essence, the goverments and civilizations of the Confederacy created their own unique govermental model, ephumesitcally called the 'Guardianship Republic' model. It was unique, since so many individual goverments coexisted with each other, with many never seeing other parts of their own alliances in person. It all still relied on the unified leadership of the Gaian Empire-Republic as an anchor to make it all work.

The fact so many 'did' it this way, and didn't see it all as reliance on an imperialist method of control, since the parent anchor of the Gaians themselves didn't relaly act that way anyway, made for a miracle of a govermental model.

A universal govermental model that, again, wasn't perfect and still had strains and uncertainty in areas. (The refurbishing Columbia and Corseria operations a glaring example.) However a great deal of hope existed for the mutual alliance, and the UPF model gave it all a 'real' basis to go by. Again, within a year or so of formal fleet construction, the first fleet commands were formed, the CSFS Joint-Advisories were formed, and the Confederacy allied goverments and civilizations began a long series of ratification treaties to form the base of the UPF model for the goverments to retrofit and hybrid unto.

The identity the Sphere Council seeked for the autonomous Confederacy was taking real shape now. A miracle that seemed scarry in all it's optimisim.

The Confederacy StarFleet Command (CSFS - Confederacy StarFleet Service) soon grew rather large, and even effective with time. With the formation of it's functionaries, the focus changed back to ship design.

The first three starship designs entirely homegrown out of NAIS-ASDB were presented as such over the first five year period after 3394. By 3394, the drawing boards of the new NAIS-ASDB design section had designs constantly occupying processor space, then flying off the holoboards into various testing sectors. One design became noted as a hybrid of a Defiant Class Escort vessel and a B`rel Klingon Class Bird of Prey, and classifed as the Knightwing Class Strike Escort. With defense capability the first priority of the new Confederacy StarFleet, this design soon emerged as a quick deployment partol escort starship, focused more on combat capability than exploration. With larger designs being worked over both on the drawing boards, and in testbed active phases, this design quickly met approval after a few design revisions. The first vessel went into production in June of 3394.

The vessel lived up to it's intentions, as the higher power output of a Gaian-Tech ZPE core allowed the rather extensive weapons array to decent effect. However phaser weapons are not expected to fire all at once, due to overheat and power consumption issues. Instead the arrays are programmed to fire, depending on weapons spread patterns, in an alternating fashion, allowing for short intervals of weapon power distribution. In an emergency the weapons can fire all at once, but meltdowns are almost certain to occur, possibly with catastrophic results. Caution has been impressed upon newly assigned crews of this danger.

Meanwhile the phaser weapons array is augmented by a single torpedo launcher, and a unique cluster torpedo launcher configuration set upon the rear starboard hull, along with the other turreted phaser arrays, allow for multiple arcs to fire from, accenting the vessel's quick combat speed. To top it all off, a Type-XXX Mass Driver Cannon, with heavy energon phasic particles are fired in the same manner as a focused burst from a deflector dish, but more designed for such operation, the unit takes up all firing power for the duration of a firing operation, so it's mostly used for an alpha strike pattern or a tactic that takes advantage of the weapon itself.

While the torpedo stocks are very limited, the basic photon and micro-torpedoes can be replicated through a pair of internal industrial replicators, to extend combat time if required in a prolonged battle. The casing stock is manipulated through the same resequencing matrix that normal onboard replicators use.

Crews don't have much room, and most systems are heavily automated to reduce crew needs some. Science and exploration sensor suites are at basic levels, though still advanced enough to handle inital first contact or observation roles. Anything more extensive is expected to be handled by larger starships anyway, and most systems are combat oriented anyway in efficiency.

A single shuttle bay, situated to allow access from above from between the warp nacelles, has one Hopper class tactical shuttle held within, along with mission variable pods stored on both sides of the shuttle bay. The chosen shuttle type falls within the tactical concept the starship was based upon.

As the design is based in part on a B'rel BoP, the vessel can land on a planetary surface, using it's two landing struts, and an extendable ramp. As the vessel is combat oriented, the Knightwing Class has the unique ability of acting as a large scale planetary attack vessel, at close ranges not unfeasable. Coming from a starship sized vessel, this would have added shock capability if ever desired for operational needs.

Added to the defensive capabilities, the shielding systems alone equal to larger class starships thanks to two concert fed shield generators, a standard cloaking device is included to act discreetly in systems that don't have anti-cloaking measures, such as the ones the Fedral Union employs, mong other star nations. When in overall doubt, crews are still trained to avoid combat situations, the vessel capabilities meant to defend other assets, or in last resort otherwise.

With the quick construction times for starships in Sphere Alliance dockyards, sixty of these craft are already slated for production, the first of the class entering service as of August of 3394.

In 3393, the Intergalactic power of the Gaian Ascendancy acquired through various means, the database plans for vessels of the UPF technology base, including plans downloaded after a purchasing agreement between the Sphere Alliance (the Gaian Ascendancy full alliance body.) and the Empire of Huntear. This included the Bravo Fleet database, and data retrieved from the datacore brought via trade agreement to the Gaians from the Trinity Blood star nation. Over a five year period, the data formed the foundation for the Confederacy StarFleet, essentially a copy of the Federation StarFleet for the Confederacy Alliance Worlds that were developing in the Sphere Alliance's three Superclusters (Archonis, Columbia and Corseria.) The goal was a self-idtentifcation fleet that the Confederacy would call it's own alongside it's self-autonomy within the Sphere Guardianship the Ascendancy led, a fleet that could expand and explore all three Superclusters in a defensive capability, while freeing the main Sphere CAG-FACAF Fleet and military force TOEs for external Guardianship operations, such as the continuing Counterattack War against the Dark Eternals.

By 3397, the fleet was forming off the database where the Bravo Fleet data became the primary focus, all it's assets beginning to come out in decent numbers from starship foundries and newly constructed SpaceDocks and DryDocks all across the millions of worlds the Sphere commanded. The NIAS-ASDB was also beginning to come out with newer designs, taking advantage of the evolutionary computer programs available in the Sphere Alliance. It was at this time that after enough of all classes were built and testbed, that Confederation StarFleet Command began looking at expanding the design base from using the lessons the other design classes represented. One design that came up came from the Council Lord Excellency himself, though not by his immediate knowledge.

A set of crude ship vessel sketches from before the days of Foundation managed to survive as part of Lord Aleaic's personal effects, and long kept in a air tight container that technological advances eventually made nearly perfectly preserved. The sketch came up to the mind of his wife, Lady Tsunami, when she remembered the sketch amid Aleaic's effects. The design was secreted to Admiral Yurika of the CAG Fleet Command, and from there to Confederacy Fleet Command. The design sketch was seen as impressive, if oversized compared to the other starships of the types built by this time. After a sixteen design revisions, the Midway Class was born. It's sister class Coral Sea would be developed later, after the Midway Class was testbed and shaken down. The class was renamed from the original Bravo Fleet class name, in commemoration of the role of the ship as a command carrier-battleship, from the ancient Terran World War Two battle of the same name.

The ship is a marvel of all the hybrids of UPF/Bravo and ASDB-Sphere Tech that had developed into a hybrid system by this time. Using the Mahan and Carrier Classes as basic design formats, and the Sovereign as a model, the Midway was concieved as a starship the size match for the Romulan D`Deridex Warbird Class, developed with three nacelles connected with dual strut warp pylons, a low profile primary to secondary hull with the primary opened up into three main tiers to accomidate the new weapon, starcraft and dual warp core/hyperdrive/Fold drive hybrid systems. Holographic and computer systems are state of the art, though not as hyper-advanced as a Hikari Treeship, the very walkways and support bridge decks are crystal holographic sensory, nearly eliminating the need for physical viewports, save for a few select crew decks and the Ten Forward area situated at the rear of the upper primary hull saucer. The main bridge and even the engineering and secondary bridge decks are hyper-advanced with holographic layouts, quadruple redundancy built in to protect viewing capability, the systems here alone are excellent in their own regard. This ensures that all other vital systems are just as impeccable, tested in the latest NIAS evolutionary computers and holographic simulators. Nothing was overlooked, with the number of minds looking over this unique project.

The class was designed as a military fleet command vessel, capable of taking command of large numbers of starships with little bogging down of capabilities for it's own needs. It carries a large compliment of starfigthers and shuttle types, taking advantage of the ample spaces it's hangar decks offer, with upper hang dock capability to save floor space, each main hangar holds six craft, the secondary hull one twelve, four for the auxiliary hangars. Each hangar has it's own tractor beam pod for quick recovery, to match the 1.5 minute launch time the entire wing is capable of, though depending on practice and crew capability. The vessel also has six shuttlebays for it's large shuttle and runabout compliment, that can act in concert with the fighter wing if needed. Hoppers are also included to add terrestrial combat capability if needed as well for it's marine/droid/combat troop compliment, with equipment pods for various misson types.

However the ship was also deliberately designed to pay it's own cost in peacetime as a long-term range explorer vessel, by having all the amenities and technological capabilities for those of the famous Galaxy and Sovereign classes. It's combat capabilities and standard Confederacy fleet tactics allow for patrols and exploration missions of two or three vessels at a time to operate together in a sector of space, and the Midway Class is designed to take advantage of this by not only relaying it's own realtime sensor pallate, centered on two main deflector dishes and full sensor pallates, but also from accompanying vessels, to allow complete data composites form several worlds and even sectors at a time, without needing to access it's own database, saving processing power of the four computer cores, by link sharing this capability between each vessel in a network. It's nominal exploration capability is considered equal standard with in service explorers in the Confederacy Fleet.

It's power core design, dual Zero Point Energy Cores, with dual warp core hybrid all work in conjunction with each other, provide flexible power options, as well as energy for the basic systems. The main power for the Fold drive array however comes from auxiliary feeds from the ZPEs, and a 90th Generation Hikari Tree Seed, held in subspace stasis within a chamber node between the two ZPE cores. This allows the vessel excellent power distibution, and the ship intergalactic capability to fulfill it's Confederacy Fleet Doctrine of home Supercluster defense. A basic hyperdive motivator drive gives a third FTL option for internal galaxy operations and emergency drive needs, power fed from the ZPEs on an auxiliary basis.

It also all gives in combat situations, extended duration fire capability for it's phaser arrays, reconfigured with celestial technology standards, allowing the same phaser wattage from nominal Bravo Fleet designs, longer duration in fire, as well as high charge pulse fire configurations from the same phaser focusing arrays. This allows a similar class from a Confederacy design, longer combat capability and effective fire, compared to it's Bravo Fleet counterpart. This ability is considered crucial for vessel survivability by Confederacy Fleet designers and testbed personel, equaling standard set by the primary CAG-FACAF Fleet Commands. Primary phasers are supplimented with anti-fighter grade pulse phasers, recessed into the hull all over the ship, to protect the vessel from close range fighter attacks. This weapon capability is suplimented by the torpedo weapons array. Turreted and fixed firing ports give excellent firing arcs, for it's pread of torpedoes, including the powerful Foundation class torpedoes, that are a step past the kenetic subspace torpedo type, but more controlled a heavy fire weapon, alongside the power of the tri-cobalt type. This all meets standards for Confederacy vessels, for the types of enemies it expects to encounter within it's defense domain.

Bridge design was taken out of the box with this class, as mentioned of the holographic and command-control capabilities. The main bridge has actually three levels connected by turbolifts and standard access tubes, the top tier the main vessel command and operational control, the lower two coordinating the starfigther wing, other vessels attached, and the exploration influx suites of data. Each level can control the ship if the main tier is damaged. In addition, two 'battle bridges', smaller versions of the main bridge sub-decks, coordiante the same abilities of the vessel, but also in combat, act as intermediate control of the subbridges for the fighter hangars, as well as other ship functions, in heavy combat operations while in fleet actions. The five subbridges that control the fighter bay operations are standard bridge pods that focus only on fighter and shuttlecraft operations, increasing security and operation time for fighter launch and recovery. The subbridges coordinate the tractor beam towers that act as standard tractor beam projectors for the starship, that can recover starfighters of all CAG-FACAF and Confederacy StarFleet types in a swift manner.

= Class Design History:

Jan 3397 - The plans for the Midway Class are designed and reconfigured over a five month period, as new discoveries from other ship classes are incorporated and streamlined in simulators. Pylon design and alignment of the warp core sections is the critical phases at this stage.

Jun 3397 - The first testbed keel is laid, but problems arise from the power distribution between the seperated sections of the primary hull, and alignment problems for the dual core systems. However the problems are shaken out within two months, and the testbed keel is deconstructed after operational data is attained. At the same time, the first starbases and specialty drydocks are constructed in strategic areas of the three Superclusters, slated for four months from start.

Sept 3397 - Attempts to complete the vessel by the Excellency's birthday is scrubbed when minor problems crop up with the holographic imaging systems, as well as integrating the 90th Generation Seed into the vessel, as the Tree Seed itself has reservations of being used in tri-lateral FTL drive system. The Seed agrees to extensive testing that lasts four months, which to the secretive Council agrees to the delay, allowing for more time to integrate new systems for vessel completion in Oct 3398.

Feb 3398 - The Seed finishes last tests and is installed in the mostly completed vessel keel. A basic shakedown cruise before final systems are installed is conducted with a skeleton crew. The ship ends up dealing with an emergency ship rescue when a Confederacy commerce vessel loses power core systems in a freak ion storm near CGS-372255. The success of the incident gives formal confidence in the vessel design.

Mar 3398 - First crew is trained for vessel operations, set for seven months after. Last systems shakedowns are conducted. All power core, computer and major systems are given a green light. Subsystems and backups are drilled in a two month reproving process to ensure long term viability. First special starbases are completed for the class. (The Excellency almost discovers what is going on after a basic review of the Confederacy Fleet, but is detered by family members at the eleventh hour to keep the project a suprise secret. The known Atlas class starship is used as an excuse for the construction of the rather large docks.)

Jul 3398 - All ship systems are completed in all processes, last details nailed down. The ship is secreted aboard a Star Shield Class A-SSD to the Holy Capital System, and delivered to the fleet docks in Marble's orbit for final scheme painting and name labeling. The ship conducts first fleet capability shakedown, and crew members enter last testing phase before leaving current assignemnts for the new ship. Fighters and shuttlecraft units are delivered for operational testing, ending in late Sept 3398.

Oct 3398 - In a surpise birthday ceremony put on by the Lord Excellency's family, the starship is unveiled with a formal crew for the first time, much to the leader's suprise. Formally christened NCC-57391-A - CSFS Midway, the vessel's plaque is placed by the Excellency himself. Star Captian Lana Cameron is given formal command, and the ship leaves dock for it's six month full shakedown cruise, with an Akira Class and Sovereign Class as assigned escorts. Fleet maneuvers begin with the Council family in short term attendance, as it operates with sixteen other Confederacy starships in an inital week long fleet review against CAG-FACAF starships.

Dec 3398 - The class formally begins exploration and fleet duties with the same escort, formally named the flag vessel of the 12th Confederacy StarFleet, already a hundred vessels strong due to ease of Bravo Fleet starship construction. Seventeen ships are slated for construction, and the Coral Sea class begins intial simulation phase.

In 3398, after the Midway Class had been shakendown enough, the keel was laid down on the sister class, the Coral Sea Class starship, essentially a large scale version of a Nebula Class starship, fitted to the same role as the Midway Class. NAIS-ASDB took the lessons from the Midway Class and scaled down some of the abilities while adding others.

The fighter compliment was essentially the same, but shuttle space was reduced as space was given more to the more heavy armament arrays, with a Type XXX Mass Driver installed along the upper Torpedo Launcher Array superstructure. Height was increased to keep the same dual Warp Core/ZPE Core architechture, with installed 90th Hikari Generation Seed, giving all systems the same power capability on par with the Midway Class. With the inclusion of the Mass Driver, this was given a way to focus this extra power despite the smaller overall vessel superstructure. However as seen in the Knightwing Class series, the use of the Driver saps all vessel systems during a firing operation, so tactics are stressed in using the weapon properly.

The same bridge kits were also installed, giving the same command and control flexibility as it's sister class. In fact almost all capability is the same framework as the Midway, save for cosmetic and contracted differences. The Coral Sea in fact is fitted even more for combat, but can still manage a healthy exploration capability since it's size is so large.

As the class comes into service, it's own lessons will be retofitted back into the Midway class, as both classes take their place as the command flag vessels for the Confederacy Starfleet.

The shuttle approached the landing pad in a graceful arc and settled down without a bump. Actually the shuttle never really touched the ground, instead hovering a couple centimeters above the landing platform. The ship rotated until the side was facing the waiting greeters.

The side of the shuttle melted and ran like quicksilver, dripping down the side of the shuttle and forming their own individual floating steps. The revealed door opened and a female stepped out.

“Hello, my name is Ka'Rees and I hear you are looking for ship designs.”

Greeting Lady Ka`Rees was an impressed Lady Yume Makabi, Washu's equally insane sister, so to speak. Seeing a shuttle act with both elegance and technological innovation usually did impress the Professor, assigned as the head of the new NAIS-ASDB for the Confederacy StarFleet.

Yume was more than equal to the manners presented, and bowed her head before looking back up and imparting. "Yeah, my friends seem to think these rather small starships are all that to putting a snazy face to our mutual allies within our empire.

I don't complain, I get to tinker more than I ever got to beforehand. Let's see whatcha got milady." ..she finished with an interested smirk.

Ka'Rees held up her hand and an image appeared hovering above it. She used her Psionic ability to project the image.

"This is a design we came up with after hearing your message. We did some research into the tech and designed this concept ship. The prototype does not have drives installed but you mentioned you were going to place your own systems aboard so we figured that would not matter."

The image began to rotate, giving a full 360 degree view of the ship. Ka'Rees pulled her hand away leaving the image hovering in the air which began to slowly fly about the space between them.

"We call it The Avenger Class. The prototype can be here in ten minutes if you wish to tour the actual vessel."

Ka'Rees stood with her arms by her side waiting for them to answer.

Yume and a few NAIS Techs with her cocked their heads side to side for a bit, as Yume studied the vessel architecture. To her it looked a bit plain, but she suspected it had a unique use for the ConFed Fleet.

Prof. Yume looked at Lady Ka`Rees and smiled. "If you have a prototype available, we would be interested indeed to see it upon close."

"I know it looks plain, that is because none of your systems have been added to it so far. This is the basic frame which you will add your drives and your weapons systems to. That way there will be nobody who has your system specs."

Ka'Rees glanced among her hosts.

"Where would you freak less if a wormhole opened up in about ten minutes near here?"

Yume laughed in response to the latter part. "We freaked more the first time we ascended. I doubt a wormhole will matter as much. The Sphere sensors all around us, always active will indicate on arrival.

Until then, can I offer you a drink and discuss more of your civilization? We can at least talk shop if nothing else."

Meanwhile, one of the Techs nearby is contacting Sphere traffic controllers inSystem to begin scanning for any incoming wormholes.

The message was discussed by the Council in session at that time, and quick agreement was made (took all of five minutes of discussion, and then an hour of what 'else' could be included in the package.)

The vessel appeared near Dark, the first gravity node orbit of the Capital System. The blaze of the two blue-white suns framing the world, as Sphere local controllers picked up the vessel from there.

Meanwhile the small party Yume was having is interrupted as she was pleasantly suprised by the puncutality of the arrival. "Nicely promised. I imagine orbit would be the best place to view this gift." ..she called for a simple diplomatic shuttle to come to the meeting area at the NAIS Complex.

Even more classes quickly off the holographic simulators in rapid fashion, as the Confederacy continues to make good on their promise of swift advancements.

Another 3398 project that came off the boards quickly, the suppliment to the larger Coral Sea and Midway Classes entering service, the Galaxy Class approximate sized vessel used the Lynch Class as a basis, using an enlarged, single warp nacelle to drive the vessel.

It's only real purpose is to patrol territory and bring additional starfighters to a combat zone, it's light weapon arrays mainly used in rear actions, though it can join an active battle well enough. A single warp core/ZPE core setup powers all systems, no Generation seed in this class starship since it would be overpowered, though such consideration is already of merit in a possible refit model. The starship also has enough shuttles and runabouts to fully round out support functions of any operation.

A single deflector dish and it's nominal sensor suites are good enough to make it a light class explorer though deep space missions are not it's real design fortay.

Already fifty are being ordered for production, the first models soon to come out of spacedocks all across the Sphere Alliance.

With the proliferation of the basic Defiant Class, and the highly offensive Knightwing Class, a more defense type minded starship was concieved with the new Diamond Class. A decently maneuverable starship of it's type class and scale, it's role is mainly defense, it's large weapons array set to give other starships cover, it's warp design meant to give fast patrol to reach problem areas and bring it's weapons to bear quickly.

It's holographics are on par, as is the cramped spaces, as it's contemporary counterparts. Sensors are basic for a patrol vessel, not meant for heavy duties at all. The Sphere Confederacy considers the many design classes a good flexibility tactic, and the Diamond Class goes into this mindset.

One Type 10 shuttle is onboard for limited actions, but it's patrol range is deliberately limited to keep it near important assets. It's small design is just as quick to construct, and several hundred of the easier built vessels, compared to the complex Knightwing class in comparison, are going through development and testing.

With this, the CSFS Command hopes to fill in it's defensive gaps, freeing other more nominal starships for longer range duties.

OOC: @Bal: Hmm, that looks kind of like you based the design on a Klingon Vor'cha class attack cruiser and then removed the wings.

When the second message from TB was recieved, a number of items in it concerned the Lady Prime Foreign Advisor to send a second message of her own.

The shuttles ferrying the important dignitaries easily made it to the prototype. They landed on the flight deck, passing through the blue atmospheric shield. Aboard the ship, they stepped from their transports and looked around.

The flight deck had spacious room for several ships. All the controls for the place were operated from a single room with a view of the entire bay. They could see the crew busy behind the transparent material forming the wall between the Control Room and the launch bay.

A single person awaited the guests. After they disembarked he greeted them.

“Welcome aboard the Avenger Prototype. Here are the specifications of the ship. Feel free to ask questions and tour the ship. The PADD will answer any that might come to mind. Since you are interested in purchasing this ship, you may go anywhere you wish, provided you take all necessary precautions and use commonsense. That means no trips into the powercore.”

The guests could tell he was jesting and he knew they were not dumb enough to place themselves into jeopardy.

All starships bears the Imperial marks of The Holy Empire of Qudrath. They hold high orbit over the planet with close proximity to the space station.

Communication channels are open and an outgoing hailing frequency is sent to the station, from the lead Imperial Battle Cruiser.

"I am the Imperial Qudrath Star Fleet Commander, Admiral Habeebur Rahman. I am here on an escort mission to transport the Holy Qudrath Minister of Trade & Commerce. The Honrable Minister is here on a diplomatic mission to foster trade relations between your planet, the other planets within your sector, and the Holy Empire of Qudrath. We hope for permission to dock the Diplomatic Crusier and for safe negotiations."

"We await a reply from your commanding officer, Admiral Rahman out."

All starships hold positions in orbit with impulse engines. Sheilds are up, but weapons are not powered.
