Krasnamoya

Andrei's alarm clock had gone off three hours ago, but he was still in his bed by the crack of 9:30 finally awaking to the bright, sunny rays seeping in through his flat's windows. His eyes adjusts the to the light, and as they did, they laid sight upon the date.
декабрь 19.
Quickly he leaped out of his bed and struggled to get on his blue jeans and shirt, turning on the TV on the other side of the bedroom in the process.

...of course. For those just joining us, good morning and happy 19th! It's only 9:32 and already the celebration is in full swing, Мира Плошадь devoid of cars and full of cheering onlookers, giving our men and women in the armed forces a big hand for the integral part they play in Krasnamoya's defence.
He watched as the feed cut out to several images.

The parade will be continuing until around 10:10, when a series of speeches will be given by various governmental and citizen-run organisations. Although the premier will be attending, it will only be brief; however, there will be a chance for him to speak, and a question and answer session this Friday at a ball being held, open to both local and international dignitaries. Until then, we take a look at the Revolutionary's Memorial, where quite a crowd of well-wishers have come to pay their respects. However, these veterans will have the opportunity to do so first.

The monument itself is a rather recent addition to Мира Плошадь, finished in the early nineties. It commemorates the brave men and women who fought for decades to end the oppressive communist regime controlling Krasnamoya, which was toppled on December the 19th, 1986 through the minds, hearts, and bodies of the people.

Speaking of oppressive, we have a chilly week ahead of us. Let's go over to Ekaterina with the weather. Katya?
By now Andrei was out the door, wearing his blue and white soccer jersey and in the streets, joining the mass of people waiting outside for the parade to come by.
This is both an IC and OOC post. If you're interested in the summit/gala planned to be held on Friday, please post here, but of course it will be open to most during the course of it, so don't feel left out if you want to attend but don't sign up here in time.
Otherwise, all reactions to this are welcome. Thanks.
