General report :
United Terran fleet officials today announced that a project called hyperion would be underway shortly, this massive project needed prior approval by the congress for 500 billion F$, and is expected after to have a yearly budget of 50 billion F$ there after. The aspects of the ship yard is meant to decrease construction time on new ships, and to allow quick and steady maintenance of new and older ships. the fleet complex will include a whooping 12 ship yard complexes, 4 star bases, 3 massive construction and maintenance bays, and a quantum convertor. The Hyperion shipyard will construct ships using mass replicators, quantum converters, and nano scale bots.
While UTF only has 1500 war capable ships they require massive amounts of maintenance, due to extensive and expensive technologies and powerful weapon systems on-board, current construction yards for UTF ships take much longer than most nations due to the extensive amount of detail, technology and systems on-board the ships. UTF officials have also announced that no increase in fleet size will be purposed, how ever scheduled replacements for the ships lost in the water - helper conflict have nearly been completed after t six months at normal shipyards.
Request from other nations might also be handled says a UTF spokes person, but request like that would only be approved if the nations were allies. extensive technologies used in this project will also included subatomic fusion methods that will increase quality of ship construction an additional fifty three percent, then current methods. the project is so expensive that no more than one will be built, each complex will be nearly fully automated, fully powered by quantum reactors and ran by interlinked ai's. ship construction speed will be increased many many times. The estimated time for completion for the project will be ten to fifteen years, and the first base will be operational with in five. The position of the base will be kept secret accept for certain allies who will know its position .
