Ever since the Zansk civil war, Mhoudia (Formerly known as Southern Jayir) had been a semi-independant Islamic state of Zanski.

The rebellious political branch of the Mhoudia Liberation Front (MLF) militia had been elected in, with the political boss Pala Awahi as president. They preached to crowds in the Mhoudian capital, Mhoud, of a seperate state and a war against the majority Zansk religion, Gharrakmanists.

Modi Arma, president of Zanski, refused to liberate the region.

450,000 Mhoudian troops moved up to the borders of Zanski, especially to the Zansk islamic state of Jayir. The Zansk army came to the borders too, but under strict orders to only shoot if they shot.

At 02:21 yesterday, the first Zansk casualty was reported, sniped in the head from a Mhoudian hill.

Minor clashes have been happening frequently, and Mhoudia already claims to occupy some southern parts of Jayir.

our advance into Zansk territory has been sucessful. Southern Jayir will be annexed tomorrow. We hope to get as far as the capital and 2nd biggest Zansk city, Xanka, Within six weeks.

Pala Awahi has been made supreme ruler.This means he has total control over the Theocratic Republic of Mhoudia.

Twelve squadrons of B2 stealth bombers lifted off from RAF Waddington and RAF Worchester. They were in the air, flying towards Mhoudia, with orders to literally bomb the rebels out of existence. As the CEO said:

Rebels. They're bad for business. Distract the people from buying our merchandise. Intolerable. I want these fucking asshole rebel bitches dead, do I make myself clear?

That's why, under the cover of night, one hundred and forty four bombers would carpet bomb Mhoudia.

Luna, Arma's secretary came in. She placed a note on Arma's desk and sat down.

It said:
Dear Mister Modi Arma.

The MLF and Supreme Mhoudian ruler Pala Awahi thank you for saving the Islamic Zansk community in the civil war.
But we desire Independance. And we know the only way to aquire this is to declare war. And in the meantime, we have also captured a southern portion of Jayir state, a portion south of the river Jayir but west of the Eastern Jayir mountains. And we will annex this in time to come.

But first, we would like you to know that the islamic community in Jayir actually want to become part of Mhoudia. So you'll have to fight them, too. Goodbye.

Mr.Arma looked up and puffed on his cigar.
"Mobillise the Ground & Air Defender squads, class one to three, and see what difference it makes over southern Jayir. Send a thousand of the air defense units over the non-jayir fronteir. Please do it quick, our national security is at risk."

Major clashes in south Jayir had claimed twenty Zansk soldiers lives and those of the Western (non jayir) frontier had claimed six.

The Empire looks with interest on your recent rise to power, and with added interest on the campaign currently being undertaken in the name of national liberation against the Zansk state. The Imperial Government, while unable to officially condone your actions, finds itself in sympathy with your goals, and is willing to offer assistance under the table in the form of financial aid and armaments.

At the moment, we are prepared to wire a lump sum of 14 billion Genera (roughly 28 billion American dollars) to an account of your choosing, for use in fighting the Zansk oppressors. We are furthermore willing to supply your forces with surplus GIR-47 assault rifles and GIF-1 interceptor aircraft. Should you choose to accept these offers, further aid will likely be forthcoming.

The Mhoudian Turrets in Mhoud and round the coast began to fire at the planes, not many got through got through but those who suceeded did considerable damage to the capital and army bases.

The bombers were half-done with their bombing run when the enemy air-defence craft scrambled to intercept them.

"Shit! Defensive manoeuvres, now!"

But it was too late. All but eighteen bombers were destroyed completely, and six bombers crashlanded, with their pilots captured by Mhoudia.

"Y..yes, sir," stammered an employee.
James Batra picked up his mobile and called the Chief Strategic Officer.

"Yes, this is the CEO. Yeah, we lost all but twelve bombers. I know, it's shit. I want ballistic missiles fired at these assholes right the hell now. No WMD, just regular. Good."

Sixteen missiles soared towards strategic targets in Mhoudia, namely the capital and military bases.

Pala Awahi has chosen to accept the deal, but insists that a favour be replied to.

The Generic Empire may request anything.

The Empire has no interests at the moment other than to see the realization of Mhoudian independence, after which perhaps a request for open trade between our nations could be made.

Regarding the arms shipments, the Empire is currently prepared to transport 250,000 GIR-47 assault rifles, along with a number of assorted man-portable anti-armor and anti-aircraft weapons to Mhoudia via an escorted convoy of freighters, ostensibly carrying food and medical supplies to civilians in the warzone. The shipment should arrive in Mhoudian waters in roughly 5 days, following which, the weapons will be airlifted to shore. A detachment of 50 GIF-1 interceptors will be flown in and turned over to Mhoudian authorities in the same time frame.

Furthermore, should the situation in your country deteriorate under the pressure of foreign and Zansk aggression, the Empire is willing to declare Mhoudia a temporary Imperial protectorate, and deploy Imperial military forces to the region to ensure Mhoudia does not fall back under the reign of Zanski.

Zanski has today decided to infiltrate Mhoudia and occupy 20KM in from all borders, including that of the Sea.
This will hopefully clear all agression from the MLF and Mhoudian army.
All-out war has been announced and 14,000,000 Zansk soldiers are being sent to Mhoudia, which is roughly the size of Switzerland.

Meanwhile, missiles were fired towards the Zansk town of Ville De Jayir and 12 civillians were injured. Zanski has not, and in the words of President Modi Arma...
"...Will Never accept the independence of the Mhoudian state and its annexation of southern Jayir."

Awahi was sitting in his palace when his telephone rang.
"Hello?" He murmered.
A voice came at last. It sounded like the voice was coming from a battlefield, probably a village in Southern Jayir.
"Yes, Awahi! Its General Musa here, high general of the Mhoudian Jayir army. We here have recieved news that Zanski not only wants us to give up, but are now sending in 14 million men to occupy everything twenty kilometers inland. What should I do?"
Awahi laughed.
"Heh,heh. send in ten to fifteen missiles to Ville De Jayir. Let them know we are boss.Send in a couple more thousand Mhoudian soldiers to the frontline."

And this was done.

Also today, a fleet was sent to the southernmost tip of Zanski, state of Tumad, to try and establish a puppet republic, United Southern Mhoudian States (USMS).

Official Imperial Statement

The Empire has decided to dispatch a fleet of observation to be positioned directly outside of Zansk territorial waters. Unless Imperial vessels come under direct fire, their intentions will remain peaceful.

Furthermore, the Empire will be escorting a number of civillian vessels carrying food and medical supplies to civilians in the warzone. These vessels will be under Imperial protection, and any attacks against them or their escorts will be considered acts of war.
