The government of the nation of Cortellen wishes to start an alliance with socialist nations. Now we are sure that socialist nations are wondering why they should join such an allience. Here is why, capitalists sit in their high and mighty chairs and say we are corrupt dicatatorships because the peoples of our nations work together to better themselves. If the people of each nation can work together why can we not band together? Only united can we hope to be able to stand up to capitalists.
Eligability:
1. You must be socialist. If you are communist we may allow you in if you prove that you take care of your people.
2. You must have a standing military and defence funding.
3. You must be willing to aid member nations in any way needed.
4. You must be willing to trade with member nations.
5. If you have a storefront you must give member nations at least a 1% discount.
Structure:
Member nations can propose things to be voted on (At the moment there is no restrictions on what can be proposed). All member nations have one vote on any proposition. All members are of equal standing. One member will be an overseer of voting but other then keeping order they are no different then any other member. The Overseer will be inplace until someone proposes that they would like to replace the Overseer.
Purpose:
The purpose of the CSN is to have socialist nations stand together against any threat that may arise, to promote growth of socialist nations, and support efforts of nonsocialist nations who wish to become socialist.
Constitiution:
Artical 1:
The Commonwealth of Socialist Nations (CSN) will be comprised of socialist nations and communist nations who treat their people as well as socialists do.
Artical 2:
All member nations of the CSN will trade with each other. Tariffs will not be effected for trade between member nations but it would be polite to lower or remove them. All trading will be done to promote the growth of member nations. If a member nation is in dire need of something member nations with much of the needed product will be expected to trade that needed product to the member nation in need.
Artical 2a:
If member nations have a storefront they must provide at least a 1% discount to member nations wishing to buy from that storefront.
Artical 3:
All member nations will have a standing military and a defence budget.
Artical 3a:
If member nations are attacked it is expected that other member nations aid the attacked nation in any way that they can, including but not limited to sending as much military aid as you can spare. When this happens the CSN will attempt to mediate an end to the war with the attacking nation(s) that is not detramental to the member nation unless it is decided that a peace that is detramental to the member nation is the only way to stop the attackers from compleatly destroying the member nation.
Artical 3b:
If a member nation attacks another nation the CSN will vote on what should be done. All member nations will be required to do any action that is decided on no matter what is decided. In such vote the attacking member will not be allowed to vote.
Artical 3c:
If a member nation attacks another member nation the CSN will vote on what to do. In such a vote neather member is allowed to vote. All member nations will be required to do any action that is decided on no matter what is decided.
Artical 3d:
The CSN can vote to go to war as a whole.
Artical 4:
On any proposition each member will be allowed one vote unless there is a reason in this constitution that does not allow them to vote and that reason is valid at the time of voting. In most cases any vote will be passed when over half the CSN supports it. If it is to kick a member nation out of the CSN 3/4ths of the member nations (not including the member nation who proposed it or the nation in question of being kicked out, neather will be allowed to vote.) must approve. If the vote is to go to war over 90% of the member nations must vote for approval of such a proposition.
