Union of Democratic Nations
Preamble
The Union of Democratic Nations is an alliance formed for the protection of Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, and most importantly, Democracy. Let it be known that the Union of Democratic Nation's will protect these rights.
Economics
1. Offering economic aid when the High Council declares economic crisis in a nation is mandatory.
2a. All nations must trade amongst other UDN (Union of Democratic Nations) nations in conventinal (Agricultural Goods, Lumber, Etc.) or luxury goods (Computers, Automobiles, Etc.).
2b. When trading with other UDN nations, tariffs will be lowered by five percent.
2c. If a UDN nation with other is in need of necessary materials (Food, Water, Etc.) then it will be sold to them with a 15% percent discount and no tariffs, as deemed necessary by the High Council.
2d. UDN nations are to respect trade laws (Copyright, Etc.) in other UDN nations while trading.
3. All economic systems are allowed.
Military
1a. If two members of the UDN go to war, the aggresor will be banished from the UDN, unless the High Council declares otherwise.
1b. If two members of the UDN go to war, no aid will be given to the aggresor.
1c. If two members of the UDN go to war, unless it was provoked, the defender will be protected.
2a. Nations must give military aid when the High Council declares a war mandatory.
2b. The High Council will not declare a war mandatory, unless under extreme circumstances.
3a. When a UDN nation is attacked, unless provoked or the High Council declares otherwise, military assisstance is highly recommended.
3b. When a UDN nation invades another nation/s, unless the High Council declares otherwise, military assisstance is completly optional.
High Council
1. The High Council will have the ability to alter the constitution, declare economic crisis, declare wars mandatory, approve or disapprove alliances, create UDN organisations, and banish nations from the UDN.
2. The High Council will have five members, two permanent and three voted in.
3. The elections for High Councils will be held every third week.
Other Alliances
1. Nations with in other alliances must have their alliances approved by the High Council.
2. If an approved alliance goes to war which a member nation has to join, no aid will be mandatory.
3. If a member nation gets invaded because of their alliance, aid will be given.
Membership Requirements
1. Must have democratic rights for all citizens in nation.
2. Must have a standing military.
3. Must have a willingness to fight in mandatory wars.
4. Must have the ability to help during an economic crisis.

The High Council, after reviewing your alliances, has declared that British Londinium is accepted in the USD. The High Council would also like to inform British Londinium that it is not in the Imperial Alliance, due to not having a monarchy.

We are the newly created finance state of the Xeraphian Empire. Our sole reason for existence is to provide the Empire with financial stability. As the Empire had grown to nine nations, with nine seperate financial policies, the Emperor decreed that the time had come for consolidation of financial power and responsibility.

As far as The Oasis can be democratic, we are. We discuss all possibilities amongst the nine reps of the Empire, then vote on the outcome. We are a non-military nation, and no, we are not members of any other alliance.

Yes, we are a democratic nation, although there are several restrictions on the agendas of political parties and/or organisations (that is why we have been ranked "Rare" by the UN, concerning political freedom). Our region is allied with the regions Shumway Country and Leninist Dynasty, but this is more like a loose "Be my friend and i'll be yours" agreement than a real alliance with political agendas.
