Purity Log 23 February xxx3:
Years…years alone. Why can’t anyone just let go of this plague?
Purity Log 44 June xxx4:
I can hardly believe it! Others! Others like me, who have let themselves go of Thyraza…finally I’m no longer alone…
Purity Log 72 September xxx6:
I am so proud of my brothers and sisters, even know another ship has joined us, a Military Frigate, whose Captain swore The Oath…
Purity Log 125 November xxx6:
More...more…more. Even more people have joined our cause, and even two more ships! I feel we are strong enough to finally be heard…or act…
Kelsov Romant awoke to another day to…nothing. He had nothing but the hearts and minds of his 544 followers. But, it wasn’t enough to calm the storm inside him. For awhile now He had almost run out of things to preach about everyday to his followers, he was afraid they would become as lost and confused as him.
The daily sermon was a blur to him, after it was over he headed to the bridge of the Purity. He knew what he needed; he needed to get off this damn ship. He long to have his feet on solid ground…it has been over 10 years.
As he sat down in the “Captains” chair, he heard the Comm., which has been silent for so long erupt with a flurry of words. He had no idea how to even work the damn thing, but words meant people, and people meant….a planet.
He rushed to the nearest window, but he was already beat by a few of his followers.
“Gosh, I wonder who lives there.”
“Oh! Mr. Romant! Are we going to finally find a home?”
Kelsov looked down at the women who spoke to him, “Maybe my child maybe.”
Kelsov got onto the intra-ship comm., “My brothers, it is time, time to leave the stars and set foot on solid ground!”
Cheer was heard all throughout the four ship fleet. The Purity’s only Dropship was loaded up with a landing party with Kelsov leading.
The four ship fleet stopped above the planet, the Purity’s hanger door creaked open and the Dropship left the hanger and sped to the Planets surface.
Inside the Dropship the 12 man Landing Team readied themselves for anything, Bolts were cocked back and magazines inserted into their rifles, they knew not what waited for them on the surface, but they would be ready. The shaking subsided and the craft landed, the dropdoor fell open and the rifles were hidden under dark-black coats…The men stepped off with Kelsov out front.
