However, due to the machinations of a shadowy underground organisation known only by the initials 'IRC', I have gathered that Gholgoth is in no way interested in helping bail out Clandonia after it continually uses Gholgoth's name as a shield to engage in threatening actions.

Besides, one of AMF's closest allies is a UCN member. And Gholgoth has entered into open war against several ACTO members (notably Allanea) in the past.

So don't count on it, young and imperious padawan.

Your nation is not viable as described by the tracker. Your people would revolt if you really had 100% tax rate and only spent 1% of their money providing them with food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare.

A note: I believe I speak for Gholgoth when I say that we will never support Clandonia Prime in a war. I know I won't. Yes, CP is a member of the Dominion Commonwealth, but that means he is under Trans' protection, not Gholgoth's. Gholgothians protect Gholgothians, not other Gholgothians' allies.

Of course, if Trans himself was attacked we would probably step in and fight the person that attacked him. But we wouldn't fight to protect Clandonia. Honestly, all my in character people would like to see his nation obliterated and would probably cheer on (secretly) any UCN war against him.

As usual I forgot to say "Gholgoth members" (in this case Haraki). And, on reflection, it wasn't a very open war, considering that it was resolved peacefully. But there was still some hostility, and I believe Haraki summarised our point already, so whatever, this is a kind of pointless discussion. ^=.x&

BTW guys, Clandonia has used anthrax for a lone time as a weapon, not since the first revolution was it last utilised then reduced as its combat effiency is too low, we moved onto nukes and chemical munitions.

I suppose that we're lumping the anthrax attack, the general hatred between ACTO and UCN, the coming war between Clandonia and TSS, and suchlike all together under the general heading of crisis...

To all who were considering WMD's: I'm going to be the voice of reason here. For starters, guys, WMD's ruin RPs far better than enemy armies. In NS, EVERY nation has a network of underground bunkers with infinite supplies, or a comprehensive grid of anti-missile launchers, etc etc, even the peaceloving democratic ones whose citizens would be leery of having so much military hardware hanging around, so in general, it seems, there's almost always an excuse to intercept a rain of ICBMs.

Secondly, assuming they do land, that guy's nation is gone. Nobody who understands the consequences of fallout is going to say, "Well, it'll go away in a few years anyway, with some cleanup." Maybe that's feasible; I see radiation cleanup efforts all the time on II. However, it's hardly a common practice in RL, and the expense must be huge, even for the allies who tend to pick up their devastated friend's pieces. Not to mention the long-term structural, psychological, demographic, and economic consequences of any NS-sized nuclear assault. Do you really want to condemn any nation to having to RP a race of mutants shambling over a cratered doomscape? I hope not, but the only reason could be OOC dislike or sadism, and it's considered good etiquette not to let one's OOC prejudices affect one's IC actions more than necessary.

And thirdly, because this is NS, one nuclear attack is never the end. There's always that mentality that shouts: "I'll show that bastard!" and fires off twice as many missiles in return. Or your ally/puppet does it for you. And we get into an endless loop of "launch-intercept-counterlaunch-intercept-OOC insults-repeat"

So, if this comes to a bigass war, regardless of whether or not I get involved...please, no WMD's. No fun at all. And sorry for the huge speech.

What about those great WMDs that are 'self-cleaning' like chlorine gas, White Phosohorous, mustard gas, and Hydrogen Cyanide?

And don't forget 'less than lethal', such as LSD/hallucigenic raids...

And the 'annoying' WMD, itching powder, farting gas, common cold which looks like SARS...

And then herbicides...
