OOC-Okay, I've decided to emplace an imperial family. We'll all just assume they've always been there, acting as Head of State, while the High Commander has been the Head of Government.
For years now, the imperial family of Zukariaa had played a relatively small part in foreign and internal affairs. That was because the Kaiser for nearly 70 years, Konrad Augustus Gramman, had been a bit isolationist. He had chosen to let the High Commander do his job uninterupted, and when the Kraven war machine took power, he simply sat around waiting. The man was almost unknown by his people, and then he died. The only people to really care were his family, and at the state funeral, the High Commander simply stood, hands locked, arms hung low, and watched. He showed no care knowing that the Head of State of his nation had died.
Still, the people were confused. Who would take his place? It had been 70 years since the last ceremony, and the man only had one son. His son took the same name as him, Konrad Augustus Gramman II. The second he came to light, and it became clear that he would take the position of Kaiser, the newspapers went wild.
"There was a first one?" was a common joke.
Within two weeks, the man was already being put into power. He was, by now, known for his views of strong imperialism, capitalism, and he was quite the nationalist. Although it was hard to be the ruler of a fascist nation and not be one yourself.
The Wartowers, Sieg, Zukariaa
The capital city was alive that night. The news that an active Kaiser would be coming into power was welcomed by the majority. The once strong loyalty to the imperial family had all but disappeared in the first Konrad's time of isolationism and inactivity, and this looked to bring about a new wave of loyalty.
At the base of the Wartowers, which were the main government and military buildings of the Empire, anyone was allowed to come and see the new Kaiser be put into power. Thousands of people tried to get a view of the ceremony, which took place in "the Grand Hall", as some people called it, in the larger of the Wartower's first floor. The first floor was like a stadium. It had thousands of seats for viewers, and below there were more. It was where politicians met, it was where the High Command declared war, and it was where the High Commander expressed his power.
At the bottom, where the main table was for the High Command itself, there was a walkway coming from a floor below ground level. From here came Konrad, flanked by two honorary "knights". In place of the High Command was the Imperial Family. The High Commander, Henry Corrol himself, stood on a part of the ground floor which jutted outwards like a balcony. He stood at attention, watching the happenings.
"People of the Almight Empire of Zukariaa. Two weeks ago to this day, your Kaiser Konrad Augustus Gramman I passed away. Today, we give you Archduke Konrad Augustus Gramman II, Son of the Fallen Kaiser. He is heir to the throne, and he will take that throne this day. From this moment forward, Archduke Konrad Augustus Gramman II is to be known as the Kaiser Konrad Augustus Gramman II, 42nd Kaiser of the Zukariaan Empire."
With that, he was given a ceremonial blade, and he was officially the 42nd Kaiser of Zukariaa, the new Head of State. The High Commander stood motionless and the applause came and the Kaiser bowed. He was in control, and he knew it. This was more a chance for him to take the spotlight off of him for a bit. He would make the decisions, and the consequences would hit the Kaiser, if anyone. His head shifted, and he looked out the Wartower's huge entrance and into the city. There was a military parade.
