Press release:
"The King is dead, the King is dead", it was shouted in the streets. The nation is over it's traditional period of mourning and cleaning up after civil war. With the Government, the defence force and the people in an armed struggle for nearly a year it is time to celebrate! The leader of the people, Sir Nigel Darby has been successful and is now in full control of our land and its peoples.
In his maiden speach to the people his first major, ground breaking decision was to repeal the old law of isolationism that has held our nation back internationally. An invitation has been released to the nations of the world. Roquenya will build a new capital city called, "Citadel". It will house the newly formed Roquenyan government and, hopefully, representatives from nations all around the world willing to accept this invitation.
Planing for this new city has already begun and Sir Nigel estimates it will take about 3 (NS) years to complete. Due to the suffering our nation has gone through due to the civil war, an all encompacing restructing and rebuilding of our national defence force is also under way. This will include the structure required to enforce a secure environment for any ambassadors from those nations willing to accept the invite to set up a consulate.
Once the Citadel has been completed a national map will be released showing where the city is within our nation and also what the representative compounds will be like and where they will be. Nations will be allowed to bring a small security detachment along with their emissaries aswell as personal staff. Nations that have an interest in the invitation should register their interest now and plans will be sent to your foreign ministry so you can see what positions are available within Citadel for your consulate.
Sir Nigel is hoping this will be an opportunity to establish ties with overseas nations and help improve our local economy after the severe blow from the effects of civil war.
