Rasharnia

In the small isolated region of Amortia beyond the observation of most nations and hardly considered to be a flash point of heated debate lies the Rashari Empire. For a near century the empire moved from being a subgugated colony of some long lost monster empire from the more 'civilized' regions of the world to a some forgotten nation to a regional empire. Unchallegened for two generations it has welded its strength to dominate a good portion of the region and those it can't conquer it controls through subvertive tactics.

Rasharnia Provience, Rashari
Derek Sloan walked cautiously as to avoid making much noise in the ally way. The Imperial Guard had just been deployed an hour ago, around 4:30am, three hours after the attempt on Emperor Shaddai's life. Most people in the Empire would wake up to frontline news of the attempt and the martial law that had ensued would come to a shock when they went to pick up their news papers and saw the troops at their street corners. Derek had been with the Underground since he was thirteen and had followed his father to their hidout, since then he had worked for them and knew the way well. Commander Jackson would have a fit at this botched assassination attempt. With this being the second in two years and the same outcome the Underground and its more wild side being trigger happy was most likely going to throw the Empire into a civil war rather than a swift takeover as they had been hoping to see. Derek came to the door he was looking for checked to make sure no one saw him and opened it stepped into a entry way. He rang the buzzer waited for an answer and the door swung open a hand pulled him in and closed the door quickly.
Disorented someone started to yell at him, "You fool! You could have led them right to us. Are you paying attention? Didn't you check your text messages?"
"Jake! Quiet down, if he hasn't led them to us your yelling will. It will be ok." Dereks father turned to look at him, "Next time be more cautious, and keep an eye on your phone. We sent you a coded message to go home after work and not here. You were much more likely to be watched coming here then before because of the assassination attempt." Letting out a sigh, "But anyway we need to get down to the central room, its time to start planning our objectives for the city."
Derek stared at his father, "You mean this is it? We are going to fight?"
"Yes, Derek, we have no other choice now. We have tried twice to remove the emperor. Remember last time, almost ten percent of the Underground was destroyed, this time they will not stop until they know we are all dead, and that means the innocent people we are fighting for will be hurt as well. It doesn't help that the trigger happy people in the Underground forced our hand, but what has been done is done. Now we use this time to plan and make the best of it."

In the Central Room
"If we take the City Building we will rally the people to arms. Tripolis is the largest city in the provience third in the empire if we take it we will control the city and encourage others to join our cause", Derek heard from a familiar voice.
"No", Mr. Sloan said, "We will only control the city once we force the military commander to surrender. The City Building means nothing. We should focus on the transportation networks. If we can cut supply lines we can drain them of men."
"Look!", shouted Jake as he ran in and switched on the TV.
"....the Third Army is engaged in full combat with the Rasharnia Proviencial Reserves", said the news anchor. "It appears that the Third Army has defected to the side of the Underground and is trying to eliminate the emperors control on Rasharnia. General Carter has long being known for questioning the Emperor but never thought to be a traitor but things show otherwise today as the Third Army is engaged around the provience killing loyal troops of the Empire."
Derek perked up, "That must have been what the Section Leader meant by 'Cavaliary' a few weeks ago in the planning meeting."
"Yes, but that doesn't mean it is at full strength not everyone will follow the General through treason and more who are still loyal to the emperor. You also need to consider the other nine Imperial Armies and Reserves. One army gives us a slim chance of winning this.
