One note: You're encouraged to cheat, but don't get caught. You'll have to RP your racers getting to Antarctica too, to allow the maximum amount of cheating.

Newsflash! The UN has recently authorised a race from the Antarctic Penninsula to the South Pole and back again. The winner, be it a nation, a company, an alliance, or whatever, will get to claim Antarctica for their own!

The Antarctic Penninsula Lodge and the South Pole Lodge will be the only two specks of civilization on the Race. Once racers reach the South Pole Lodge, they will return to the Antarctic Penninsula Lodge. To prevent cheating, the South Pole Lodge will radio the Antarctic Penninsula Lodge to tell them which teams are on their way back. Also to prevent cheating the Smelly Cheese Company is having helicopters moniter each team to prevent cheating. The rules the UN has posted are:
No Electricity
No Motorised Vehicles In The Antarctic Race
No More Then Twelve People
No Attacking Other Racers
No Stealing From Other Racers, Helicopters, or Lodges
No Sabotage

Also, in a related issue, large oil supplies have been found in Antarctica.

Following the rules quite literally Rudolf Wulenharkendumpleganger, the famous Skgorrian comedian (well to Skgorrians anyway), has started cycling to the South Pole. All experts think it will take him years to reach there, but he does have a pedal-boat lined up for his sea crossings.

OOC: you should specify "no motorised vehicles can be used on the Antartic" otherwise any contestant who travels there using a motorised vehicle is cheating :P

The Holy Confederacy of New Aeson does not recognize any claim submitted by the corrupt and reduntant body known as the United Nations to the continent of Antartica, and therefore sees no point to this race.

Nova Brittanica has issued a telegram to all major organizations in Nova Brittanica. At the end of the day, these organizations entered into the race:
Latin Empire (Imperial Democratic Republic of Nova Brittanica)
Pleasure at the Pumps Oil Corporation
Bucktooth Beaver Oil Corporation
The Alliance Green Party (Political Party)

OOC: Depends on if there are witnesses. However, you will note there is no rule against weapons... I designed that because in the RL Race to the South Pole, the Brits shot their dogs for the food.

A plane flew over the starting point of the Antarctic Race, and ten men stepped out of it, deploying their parachutes.

They were covered, from head to toe, in arctic camoflauge. Their bags contained minimal survival gear, not enough to get to the Pole. In fact, most of their bags were filled with ammunition and collapsible sniper rifles.

These men, members of the Royal Armoury Manufacturing Corporation, oft used as BL's private army-for-hire, were going to kill the competitors.

OOC: Muhahahahaha!

Just moments after the RAMC mercenaries landed in the Antarctic Penninsula, a massive blizzard swept in! Freezing temperatures that would kill, and complete white out covered the men, then the lodge, then most of the upper Anatctic Penninsula.

OOC: MUAHAHAHA! Oh, and BL are you going to actually send any racers? That and, other then the Race officials, no one has arrived.

OOC: Those were the racers, as far as anyone else knew. Nice going.

In response to Mother Nature's attack on Londinian citizens, the Emperor has ordered all trees in Londinian Fiji to be set on fire, as well as all members of PETA and Greenpeace in British Londinium to be executed for treason.

Well, I'm in...

I'll be sending a military honorguard team, Victor 12. They are a team of six military men who have recieved the Celtic Medal of Valor. They will have six weeks rations, spelunking and climbing gear. They will also have three collapseable sleds as well as two tents. They will be wearing Hillian Battle Suits and for their protection each will bring with them a K3 Liberator, two Viper R-90 pistols and a Desert Eagle. The weapons are loaded and they each carry on them an extra ten clips for each of their weapons. They also will have a small gas stove with two kerosene gas canisters for cooking. Lastly they will have a few tricks up their sleeves. Several other things will be brought with them as well, including extra ropes, sheets for patching holes in the tents, various planks of wood, and a toolkit.

Will there be another thread for IC or is this it?

The commandos began to burrow into the snow, hoping to reach the Lodge so that they could survive to kill the racers.

After several hours, they entered the lodge, breaking a roof window. There was a group of Lodge officials cowering in the corner.

The squad leader pulled out a Walther PP99 and shot them all, disposing of their corpses by burning them in the fireplace.

Two commandos died instantly, the bullets puncturing their tracheas. Another one was shot in the leg, falling to the ground.

The rest of the troops opened fire on the guards, firing a spread of bullets into each guard's skull.

OOC: I thought your only forest was burned down when Atopiana occupied you, BL. And yes, this is the IC thread

Twenty more gaurds burst into the room, their AK-47s blazing at the Londinians.

OOC: It was a small mod to kill twelve gaurds with seven men, unless your injured man could still fight. It's an even bigger mod because your guys were caught off gaurd.

OOC: Er, it's a mode to keep having guards pour in.

Furthermore, it isn't a mode since my men were not caught by surprise. It takes some effort to knock down a door, giving my commandos ample time to respond.

OOC: You don't think that an international station preparing for an important race is going to be lightly gaurded, do you? However this is the last of the gaurds.

Guards poured in, with commandos picking them off one by one.

At the end, there were two commandos still uninjured, pointing their machine guns at three guards, who were pointing their guns at the commandos.

A few of the wounded attempted to aim their pistols at the guards, but their aim would be off, most likely.

"Could we propose a deal of some kind?" inquired the commandos.

"In one of our packs, we have a nice amount of money, which we're sure you would enjoy..."

The Commanche carrying Victor 12 landed and the six men quickly started to unload thier gear. Three of them dragged the sleds piled high with supplies while the other three kept an eye out for anything suspicious. If the Hills were cheating than it was likely that they weren't the only ones doing so.

The lodge was in sight. The group leader, Brenden Hurley, looked through the high powered scope of his K3. He lifted his hand to signal the other five men to stop. "Fire fight, unknown number of hostiles," He whispered into his radio as he lined up the sights of his weapon to the head of a man inside and fired.

OOC: Brenden was a sharpshooter, bois for the others will coem later.

OOC: Wait...the lodge was covered in snow, or so Nova Brittanica said, due to a large snowstorm.
