OOC: I thought it would be fair to actually RP getting a colony.
Late last night, Aquarian Forces launched a surprise invasion on the communist, totalarian state of Lower Mexico. As the tanks charged through the capitol, Mexico City, Mexicans cheered and shouted with joy as the liberators from the north toppled their "President's" (Edwardo Ganzalez) military regime. He was barely a ruler anymore, his government only existing to terrorize the many rebels. The small nation, only inhabited by a few million, was easily freed by superior Aquarian Forces. The people agreed to the following terms, after Nova Aquaria set up a temporary government untill elections could be held: Lower Mexico will be under Nova Aquaria's protection. It will be a colony, since the people did not want to become fully part of the Imperial Republic, but for the most part will have an independent government. The government will be fully democratic, and the people will pay taxes to them and 1% went to Nova Aquaria. Citizens will be given the same freedoms the Aquarians had, and Mexicans would be able to enlist in armed forces, but won't be drafted.
