Office of the Marshal Federatsii
It had been around a year since Alexi Kalashnikov had established his Republican Federation. Little be known to the rest of the world that inside the government was collapsing. All of Alexi's Lieutenants from the Uprising, who were now key Government Officials were fighting each other over who was right and who was wrong. Alexi loved his country, more than anything else and he wanted to do what was best for it. He was going to do the most drastic and honorable thing a government has ever done. And he would do whatever he had to, to ensure that it worked.

Alexi slowly walked to the podium, as the man camera's faced him.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Republican Federation, citizens, brothers and sisters. I come to you now to make a most surprising announcement. I am hereby relinquishing control of the Republican Federation. With that as my last executive order, I am commanding all government officials to step down. Thank you."
With that Alexi boarded a helicopter, and was not seen again.
Alexi forgot one thing however. Who was in power now?

Nikolai Somyenko could not believe what he was seeing on the television. His worst enemy was not only stepping down, but he was stepping down without anyone running the government. Nikolai had been waiting for this moment for months.
When the exterminations of the Communists occurred, Nikolai escaped to the Republican Republic of Great Romeo. After things had calmed, he returned and slowly re-built the underground Communist Party. However, Nikolai was not alone in his thoughts.

Grigori Kalio was watching the news quietly when he heard Alexi Kalashnikov begin speaking. He quickly turned it up and listened. The words coming out of Alexi's mouth were like magic. Grigori never expected for a chance to establish the true government. Grigori, was known for being a brutal dictator. He had killed one of his own followers, after he attended a Communist Party rally. Grigori, had one problem however, he had the man power. But his financial situation was less than desirable.
Meanwhile.....
Ukrainian Democratic Assembly
Kharkov, Ukraine
The entire assembly was watching the news as Alexi Kalashnikov spoke on the TV. Now was their chance to return democracy to the Republican people. They were the remnants of the first civil war, which had given Alexi power. They were no better off now, than when the war had ended. They were bankrupt, and it seemed no one agreed with them. However, the Assembly had always been known for being vigilant in times of need, and that is why they had almost taken power in the first civil war.

It had been nearly a week now, that Alexi Kalashnikov had stepped down as leader of what used to be the Republican Federation. Nikolai Somyenko had quickly built up his supporters and withdrew all his stored funds. Within days fighting had broken out into the streets. Currently it appeared that the Communists were "winning" the civil war that had erupted. The National Workers Movement was a fierce enemy however, they were very passionate in their will to dominate. The Ukrainian Democratic Assembly had suffered one terrible defeat after another. In the city of Kharkiv they had lost almost 300 supporters.

Grigori Kalori feared for the worst. His party was loosing men rapidly and there didn't seem to be any one else joining to support them. He was in even more debt now, than he was before. He had secretly made plans to escape to Belarus in the event that the National Workers Movement fell.
The Ukrainian Democratic Assembly
Kharkiv, Ukraine
The Ukrainian Democratic Assembly appeared to have lost all hope. Already eight of their high cabinet members had been killed, and the Communists and Fascists seemed to have a joint hate for them. Already upon multiple occasions, the two had banded together temporarily just to kill Democratic fighters.

"We can't get overstretched with aid in both men and material. I don't necessarily like it, but they are ou best bet. Money and weapons are easy enough to get there- men I don't want to give a commitment of."

"We've already made basic contact and established personnel to begin funneling to any of the factions- we were prepared for any choice."
"Good. Inform Mr. Kalio that he just got some friends. Some friends with money."

Grigori Kalori's ego had been boosted like none other. The United Autonomous Republics of Central Asia had provided a HUGE armament for the National Workers Movement. Upon learning this, sign ups within the faction had nearly quadrupled. At this rate, the National Workers Movement would be able to secure a government within a few weeks.

"Here is the thing sir. If we support the Communists, we may form a friendly regieme in the Ukraine, but they will want to spread their little revolution."
"Ya-huh."
"And if we support the Democratic forces, they may turn us down outright. They will certainly never pubically side with us."
"Mmmhmm."
"But if we support the facists..." The Intel Officer said, grinning, "We can install a friendly regieme that may support our policies. Alas, here is the catch."
"Yeah?"
"If we send any technology into the Facist's hands, it may slip into the UCRA's hands. So if we do help them, we have to remain non-committal. But if the Facists succeed, they will be juggling our interests with theirs."
"So what do you recommend?"
"Well sir, the Empire is leftist."
"I know that, damn it."
"So I say we support the communists, and have them direct their revolution elsewhere as we are a 'fellow' leftist nation."
"Agreed, which is why I have already ordered a reserve division of Greeks to be called up. They will be ready in three weeks."
"So..."
"Yes, soldier, I listened to your rant despite the fact that I have already made a decision. Dismissed." Regent Windsor said, leaning back in his chair, still facinated with his fingernails.
The Leuteniant's shoulders slumped and he exited the room, gently closing the door behind himself.
Regent Windsor chuckled silently to himself, then leaned towards his desk to issue the orders.

[OOC- One thing, to everyone sending top of the line equipment that is easily traceable to your nation: When one is supporting a rebellion of some kind, one generally tries to be sneaky about it. Sending a faction equipment that can and will be traced to you is in no way a smart thing. Leopard 2Es, T-90S MBTs, and other equipment of that nature, not only being so ludicrously expensive as to warrant the "who the hell would allow this?" reaction also carry a big, bold stamp saying "I'm a foreign government that is supporting this faction!"
But that's just me speaking- maybe you want everyone in Recolitus to know that you are meddling in their Civil War.
EDIT- And Vineyard, you do not know in any way I'm supplying any faction. Please edit your post.
EDIT -2- Vineyard, I'm the UARCA, not the UCRA. Please rectify that in future posts, as it's a tad annoying since you do it in every post you make with me involved.]

National Workers Movement Ukrainian Headquarters
L'viv, Ukraine
It had been weeks now since Alexi Kalashnikov had left the country. Things looked grim for the National Workers Movement, but an unexpected shipment of supplies to Chisinau had taken the entire faction by surprise. They had made a very good friend in the east. Now their supplies were effectively pushing the Communist's back and the Ukrainian Democratic Assembly was more or less obliterated. Last week the UDA's highest officials had been executed by the Communists, since then the entire faction had been in disarray, and a large portion of their followers had dispersed to the National Workers Movement.
Grigori had been planning this next attack for weeks. If it worked, it would effectively render the Communist Party worthless. Unknowingly, the Communists had been surrounded in the major cities of Odessa, Kiev and Kharkiv. They had been too busy trying to kill off UDA squads for about a week, after the UDA had also apparently received some sort of support. Today would be the end for the Communist.
SIC:
Twelve Hours Later..
Grigori was smoking a cigar when one of his followers walked in.
"It is done sir. The Communist have offered their surrender."
Grigori was actually shocked. He thought for sure something would have gone wrong.
"What are their terms?" he asked confidently
"They ask to be given asylum to the border of Great Romeo."
"No." he said bluntly, "Tell General Bogaraz to execute all Communists that are found. Tell him I want this done quietly, and to burn the bodies someplace where no one will suspect anything."
The follower was quite shocked at what he had just been told, but nonetheless went to do as he was told.
It was time for Grigori to announce his victory.

Grigori slowly stepped up to the microphone.
"My fellow Slavs! I come to you today, to announce the victory of the National Workers Movement over tyranny and corruption. With this victory, I will make our nation proud as it always should have been, and we will restore the vitality of our people!
Too many years have we sought to become a power, too many years we have fought amongst ourselves, too many years we have allowed ourselves to be bullied! Today that stops!
As Leader of the newly formed Slavic Socialist Republics, I promise to you that I will bring our nation victory!"
The masses cheered fervently as Grigori stepped away and walked towards the doors to his new office.

ooc: Samtonia- Read up on the Spainish Civil war. Russia pubically supported the Republic of Spain, while Italy and Germany pubically supported Franco's Spain. Italy even sent 70,000 troops (Or something like that) while Germany sent air support. Russia sent Political officers, secret agents, and their intellegence officers to Spain, along with shipments of weapons. The United States, Britian, and several other nations sent 'volenteers' to the conflict, forming divisions and brigades. All while these nations did not declare war on eachother, as the warring forign troops were under the factions that commanded them.
IC:
72nd Greek Reserve Infantry, having been called up, were ordered to the border of Romania, near the current Communist Positions. Their orders were to submit themselves, all 20,000 of them, to the command of the Communists. Supplies from the Empire's Heartland was forthcomming in a steady supply accross Serbia and Romainia, via land. Amungst these supplies were 1,000 ak-47s (With Plenty of Ammunition) to ensure that the local Communist forces were armed.

Grigori Vlastin, (he had changed his surname right after his victory, Vlastin being a pseudonym for Man of Power) had quickly retreated to his office after his announcement. Now it was time to form one of his most precious organizations, the Sekretnaya gosudarstvennaya Policiya, what he would call the Segopo. This organization would carry out his.....darker... needs. The leader of his organization would be SG-Brigadier General Yuri Titlov.
His first orders to the Segopo was to find all Communists and non-conformers and to execute them. Already prisons were being built in the Crimea so that they would not have to execute everyone, since that might gain unneeded attention.

We do not recognize the "new" illegitimate government of the so-called "Slavic Socialist Republics." They are not socialist; they are merely fascist. We strongly urge other nations to not recognize this pathetic attempt at a Putsch.

SIC:
Milan Srecko was infuriated at the news that the Communist Party of the Ukraine had surrendered to the fascist pig-dogs. "WE SHALL NOT STAND FOR THIS! WE SHALL BRING THEM DEATH!" he exclaimed to his "cabinet" of advisers. He immediately ordered the Red Air Force to conduct a bombing raid over fascist positions. The overwhelming force of 3 Tu-160PP electronic warfare aircraft, 3 Beriev A-50U Mainstay AWACS aircraft, 100 Tu-160 NK-74 bombers, and 300 Su-47 Berkut fighters took-off from bases in western Russia after receiving a briefing. The bombers would attack Workers' Movement military targets, while the rest would protect the bombers.

Satellite intelligence reports I have obtained shows that 20,000 Vineyardians soldiers are entering into the battle zone in the Ukrainian border region. As an ally, we are offering air support from our bases in Russia. Please designate targets we should strike. Our best equipment option for a strike would be with the X-555 cruise missile launched from our Tu-160 bomber; the X-555 has a range of over 2,500 kilometres. We can also supply air superiority with our Su-47 fighters if requested.

The Emirate strongly condemns the excessive involvement of the sovereign state of Great Romeo. We urge the government of Great Romeo to reconsider the actions of their armed forces and save them for more dire and hostile threats, than the minuscule events in a country in revolution. It is a pointless endeavor to involve your policies in a country that is blossoming into a state. Whereas in one circumstance your government creates enemies by forcing a state of war, your government can do more by influencing its political aspects to those - perhaps better said - acquiescent to your own.
[ooc: noting that Great Romeo has effectively declared war on the Slavic Socialist Republics, having decided not to recognize that state as a legitimate entity and thence commencing an attack upon its territory, whereas Vineyard makes no declarations or intentions revealed].
