The Kuun-Lan

OOC: Since my intro threat failed to get any attention I'm making this one for first contacts.

The arrivel of the Kuun-Lan through the Progenator Hyperspace Supergate has caused a huge energy spike, one which could easly be detected by ships within tens of light years. As the majority of the Kuun-Lan's fleet worked on constructing a mining base deep within the systems core one of its two carriers, the Phuur-Nan, had been sent with a wing of Acolyte's and Avenger's to watch for and hostile or friendly aliens which may have noticed their arrivel.
From her seat on the bridge Commander Jacs Somtaaw stared at the view screen. She had been their for several hours now and was looking forward to when the Phuur-Nan's sister ship the Drun-Kyori came to take over the patrol. Although it was nice to have a break from helping to manage the construction of the station, their was a point where a breif respite became a days worth of bordom. For nearly 24 hours she ships engines had been silent, her fighters in their racks, pilots ready to launch at the first sight of trouble....but their had been no trouble, in fact nothing had happened since a large comet had come close to coliding with the carrier......but even then they had just had to fire their mass drivers at it to convert it into space dust. For the Nth time Jacs wished that something would happen, even an attack from the long extince Beast. Little did she know that her wish would be fulfiled.
