For the first time since 17 BCE, a tie for a seat in the Congress resulted in a battle for it. Congress election ties usually result in the seatholder staying office, but the seatholder, Sen. Harett was retiring resulting a battle between the two parties tied for the seat. The parties were the Brydog Liberation Party and the Dicatorship for Brydog, The BLP was the largest liberal party in Brydog and the DFB was a right-wing exteremist party. The way to settle it was a large street battle with medieval weapons. The liberal majority backing the BLP and the minority right-wing extremists backing the DFB. The moderates and conservatives supporting the liberals because the DFB and her ally parties were enemies of 99% of the nation. The anthro population backing the liberals. This was to be the most bloody election for a vacant seat in The Republic Congress.
