For too long, democratic nations have been unjustly attacked. We are here to stop that, and spread freedom throughout the world.

Our purpose is to protect democratic or semi-democratic nations from unjust invasions, and protect them, and help them in any quest.


Alliance Constitution:


Article 1:
All nations are to give military aid when another member is being invaded.
ON NUCLEAR, CHEMICAL, AND BIOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE WARS:

Members with nuclear, chemical, and biological capabilites: MUST help when another member is conducting a nuclear war and the opponent/s is larger than they are in both A)population and B)military budget. Otherwise, help is optional.


Article 2:
Offering aid when a fellow ally declares a state of emergency is mandatory, be it monetary, or otherwise needed.


Article 3:
If two nations within the alliance were to go to war, the original aggresser will be thrown out of the alliance.


Article 4:
Members MUST be democratic or somewhat democratic. No communist or national-socialist (socialist states are allowed) nations are allowed. However, we respect other nation's government's rights to conduct their own laws, be they communist or otherwise, except in the case of genocide. Imperial Republics (nations that are democratic or mostly democratic, but act as an Empire, annexing land and trying to grow) ARE allowed.


Article 5:
The alliance itself can declare war on another alliance, or nation. For the Alliance itself to declare war on another alliance, it needs to pass through the High Council. Members should have a standing military at all times.

Article 6:
A Governing Council of three nations, three voted in, andthree being permanent members shall rule over the Alliance. One permanent member will be Nova Aquaria, and the next two members to join. The Governing Council, hereby referred to as the High Council, can banish members, and alter the constitution. A 2/3 majority is needed to pass legislation. Elections are held every third week. Until seats are filled, Nova Aquaria will be in charge of the constitution, banishing, etc.

Article 7:
When one member nation invades another (Non-Member), all other members must help, unless it is help is deemed "Unnecessary" (No help is needed, or unnecessary invasion) by the council, military aide must be given. If "unnecessary," help is optional.

Yes we will. Also in our embassy exchange we have listed the countires in this League as Allies, just for the knowladge of all involved.

Do we even need elections? The minimum is running. I suppose I'll put everyone on the list for now, maybe next time we will be a bit bigger. How should we get more members?

The Britannic Empire, whilst it shall support this endeavour, shall not waste anything more than money and materials on this space station. Rather than building a new one, British Londinium shall use its time to maintain and expand the Royal Starfleet's string of military installations.

Any member can propose a bill.

There is no president.

2/3 majority in the council means that bill is passed.

There is no difference between "Elected" and "Permanent" Councilmens power; except permanents are always there.

The bill can be anything, about war, space stations, etc.

Third, there must be debate on it before voting can occur. Before voting can occur, there must be motion for the previous question, with a 2/3 vote in approval.

The Britannic Empire urges an opponent vote to this piece of legislation, seeing that it is wholly unnecessary with both the Maraquean space station and our network of Royal Starfleet installations, which are open to this alliance. Therefore, constructing a new space-station would merely waste money from our budgets.
