The F/A-501A, nicknamed "Blizzard," is the newest fighter design by Ezaltian Arms. First put into action by the Ezaltain Forward Air Force and the Imperial Ezaltian Navy less than two weeks ago, this advanced fighter destroys any opposition in the air.

The key point of any aircraft is its powerplant. The Blizzard goes the extra step beyind conventional fighters, incorporating two hybrid Pulse Detonation /turbofan engines, allowing for extremely high speeds at higher altitudes. Of course, these have 3D thrust vectoring, making the fighter as agile, of not more so, than the Sukhoi Su-37.

The airframe is light, yet rugged, made out of a aluminum-lithium-titanium alloy on the wings and control surfaces, but incorporates extra titanium and reinforced plastics in the more vulnerabled parts, such as the cockpits and engines. The Blizzard can completely ignore hits from small arms, and can withstand glancing blows from 20-mm cannons.

The two-man crew sits in seperate cockpit bubbles, with the radar-intercept officer behind the pilot. Aviation experts have commented on the almost comical length of the nose, however, this is necessary to fit the crew and the massive radar. Of course, the cockpits are climate-controlled and pressurized, disregarding the need for oxygen masks. The plane also incorporates an advanced voice-recognition system, allowing only the pilot, RIO, or senior officer to activate the craft.

The radar system is also unique, incorporating the CELLDAR system used in the E-4 Nightwatch. This allows it to detect stealth aircraft in its own territory by using the radiation from cell phone satellites, although the Nightwatch's CELLDAR is far more powerful and should be used in conjunction with the Blizzard's.

The Blizzard is, like any modern fighter, stealthy, but not as stealthy as some. Its entire airframe is coated with RAM, reducung the cross-section. The fighter also uses the Russian-style plasma stealth, further reducing the cross-section to about the size of a queen-sized bed.

Of course, no fighter is complete without its weapons. The Blizzard carries up to six missiles or three bombs in its internal bay, along with three hardpoints on each wing and four underneath the fuselage. A pair of GSh-30 cannons located underneath and behind the cockpits completes the weapons package, equipped with a laser targeting system to make it brutally accurate.

The F-119 is the second aircraft developed exclusively by Ezaltian Arms. It is an interceptor at heart, but it also suitable for deep-strike missions. It was designed to replace the MiG-31 and MiG-25.

The engines dominate the craft, as seen in the picture above. They are based off the powerplant of the F/A-501A Blizzard, but expanded and altered to fit the Banshee. The basic design is very similar, a PDE/turbofan hybrid with 3D thrust vectoring. The Banshee can go a blistering Mach 4.1 at high altitudes, although it burns fuel fast. At these high speeds, the wings tuck in much like the F-409 Mystique.

The airframe is composed of a rugged titanium-aluminum-lithium alloy, althoght the armor is not quite as tough as the Blizzard, to save weight. Still, it can withstand virtually all small-arms fire and mear-misses form smaller missiles.

The second most important component of the Banshee, besides its engines, is its massive radar. It is the main reason for the radically long fuselage, taking up much of the area in between the canards and the wings. The range of the radar rivals that of the E-2 Hawkeye, and also uses the same CELLDAR system as the Blizzard and Nightwatch.

The Banshee is also quite stealthy. The design itself has a small cross-section, and the RAM coating and plasma stealth further reduce the cross-section to about that of a dining chair.

The Banshee has a rotary missile rack embedded in each engine, each of which can carry up to four Sidewinders or other missiles of the same size. The fighter also has a large internal bay in between the engines, which can carry up to eight missiles or four bombs. If stealth is not an issue, the aircrft has four hardpoints underneath the fuselage and two on each wing. The GSh-30 cannons located on wither side of the cockpit are each loaded with 500 rounds, and equipped with a laser-targeting system.

Several decades ago, my fellow owners went into isolation. Between us, we decided to permit the nation of Ezaltia use our catalog to create a storefront of their own. They did so with our blessing.

Dartian military designers continued to develop new weapon systems. We negotiated a deal with Ezaltian Arms Inc. to allow them to sell all our designs for a share of the profit along and other considerations. The first few years of this agreement went smoothly. Ezaltian Arms Inc. was quick to add our new designs to their catalog whenever we offered them, and our designs sold well. Over time, Ezaltian seemingly lost interest. Our new designs were no longer being added to their catalog when we submitted them. Our attempts to contact them went unanswered, and orders were taking longer before they received a response. When the nation of Ezaltia seemingly disappeared completely without warning for an extended period of time, the Dartian government decided it was time for us to sell our wares ourselves.

We sent a private message to the Ezaltian government informing them of our decision. We told them we were opening a storefront of our own, and asked them to pull our designs from their storefront. We assured them that they could continue to sell Ackistan's original designs along with everything else from the NTDA catalog not specifically designed by Dartia.
