At the edge of the known galaxy is an artifact of imence power, created by the Progenitors at the peak of their power. It was a gate, one of a massive network which they had deployed before they had forged the three great Far Jumper core's. For millenia they had been inactive as their key, the great ship Sujuuk, lay inactive within the core of the Bentusi Galaxy. However, after the defeat of the Vaygr and the reactivation of Sujuuk the network had become active. Soon the many Kiith of the Hiigarrans, as well as the Bentusi and other race's, began to use this network to forge a great republic across their galaxy. Now, one of the most Famous Kiiths, Somtaaw, is about to cross the threashold of the final and greatest of the gates, the one that would lead them to the Milkyway.
Somtaaw had not only managed to secure their place in history for the second time, but they had decided to do it with the ship that has made them immortal in Hiigaran history for the first time....the Kuun-Lan.

The Ship's bridge was in far better condition that Karkt Somtaaw remembered, though when he had left the bridge last it had been 20 years ago....and the Naggarok had only been defeated a scant few hours before. He had been promoted, to Kiith'Sa, a leader of his people....but he had longed to be back in the Captians chair for the majority of his time at the council. Finaly, when the network had been awakened and the Galaxy Jump gate he had not only secured the right of use to Somtaaw, but had been choosen to lead the first experdition on his old ship....the Kuun-Lan.
Now he stood surveying the new command crew of his ship, staring at the new polished metal decor and smiling as he noticed that his old chair was still in place. Finally he spoke " Ok, lets get the old girl out of space dock and through the gate. Tell Engineering to get the fusion drives up and running."
With a silenced roar the massive engine's of the Kuun-Lan flared into life, slowly but surely pushing the ship out of the stations ring dock and towards the gate. As the ship approched the gate its sensors detected the energy from the engines and flared into life, forming a purple lens throughout its orphis. Silently, and with great majasty the Kuun-Lan slowly passed through the gate, followed by a fleet of defence ships and ore proccesors, ready to set up a base on the other side.
The Kuun-Lan was alone in a new and dangerous Galaxy, and not a single member of her crew knew what they would meet out their...
