ooc: Not a bad tank..For the 1940's.

This design would be eaten alive on the modern real life battlefield, let alone the mt ns one.

The Re-357 Barkazian light tank.
ooc: aka M13/40..At least in mt you can make it more reliable than it was in 1940..

Which marks him as a newb, if you give him the benefit of the doubt.

If I make a new account and post a picture of a tank, it doesn't make me a n00b - it just makes me annoying.

Whatever. It's a technicality.

Besides, anyone whose nation was created after mine is a n00b/newb anyway, so it's a moot point.

OOC: On the other hand, due your using whatever in that way, not bothering to distinguish between a new player and a new player who should be scorned and reviled, and the fact that you can't show enough respect for another player to mark your posts as OOC in their thread, I'm not currently viewing you as the world's greatest RPer either.

December 2006

The date he was founded has nothing to do with somebody being a 'n00b'. I can quit my country and make a new one, and I would not be a 'n00b'. You can be from November 2002 and still be a 'n00b'.

OOC: Also his post count since joining does imply the same thing..54 posts in over 2 years..Either somebody posts once in a blue moon, or has been away for a long time..

ooc (happy now?) I'm being sarcastic, dude.

And I don't respect other people unless they give me a reason to. Yeah, I know, I'm weird that way.

Actually, I have over 10,000 posts and am just using this nation because it's a puppet and I'm bored. But your point is taken.

Because the other thread is full of spam and this seems like the closest thing you have to a 'main battle tank'. Is there a specific date you're building this for? I'm not making fun, I just want to make sure. If it's mean to compete against modern tanks, Carbandia is correct in the other thread - this won't stand up to them. Please, take this for what it is - constructive criticism. I suggest you spend more time concerning detail if your designs. There are various good websites that you can business to research on more modern tanks. Here is a list:

Army Technology (http://www.army-technology.com/)
Federation of American Scientists (http://www.fas.org/main/home.jsp)
Global Security (www.globalsecurity.org/)
The Armor Site (http://www.fprado.com/armorsite/main.html)

In regards to Wikipedia, a lot of their articles have factual inaccuracies. I've written for them and there are some factually accurate articles, however. A list of articles I've written:

Ch'onma-ho (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%27onma-ho)
T-26 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-26)
Electrothermal-chemical gun technology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrothermal-chemical_technology)

A full list can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Catalan).

Just to add some props for my own site, there are tankers that come by Modernwarstudies.net (http://www.modernwarstudies.net), and it's certainly a growing community. The majority of the posters know what they're talking about.

It's also a good idea to research what other people on NationStates have already written. Although direct copying or basing on is shunned, it certainly doesn't hurt to get an idea. This is an old guide, and needs a lot of improvements, but it certainly helps for now - here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=457235).

Hope that helps a bit,

-Mac
