A New Design?

The Undershi Empire, apparently spurred to this decision both by recent events in TWSP and by the increasing age of the design, have commissioned a new fighter design. This new design has been labeled the "Thunderbolt" interceptor, and will fulfill a role simillar to that of the original Lightning.
However, the Undershi Empire is interested in developing the best design they possibly can, so they are, for the first time yet, inviting foreign companies to help them with their design.

The armament specifications of the Lightning interceptor have been released. The Lightning had two missile launchers, each of which could be loaded with six Air-to-Air missiles, for a total of 12.
The Lightning also possessed a pair of twin-linked 20mm auto-cannons.

Our beloved leader, Emperor Nero, would be pleased to develop a new fighter with the Underishi government. Not long ago, we began development of a fighter ourselves, but the costs of our many wars unfortunately cut into our research and development funds.
