In the hopes of bettering diplomatic relations, securing economical interests, and protecting our nation militarily, the Holy Imperial Republic of Nueve Italia has proposed an alliance to any willing to accept its terms. By any willing, this includes countries, nation-states, any form of government, and any form of corporation. These terms are:

Part 1- Economics:

- All member nations will allow trade by land, air, and sea of conventional goods as well as luxury goods between members.

- Conventional weapons may be traded as well, but no trade of WMDs or MAD weaponry will be tolerated.

- In regards to taxes on trade goods, member nations are asked to lower their traffis by 5% for members, allowing economic prosperity to grow whilst still bolstering the domestic economy.

- If one member is in desperate need of a necessary resource (food or water), member nations will contribute needed items at a 15% discount (tariff included) as deemed necessary.

- If one member is in desperate need of an unnecessary resource, member nations will contribute needed items at a 10% discount (tariff included) as deemed necessary.

Part 2- Military:

- Member nations will aid in the defense of a fellow nation from foreign threats (outside of the alliance).

- Member nations are NOT needed to aid in the attack of another nation, but may do so if they so choose.

- Member nations may NOT attack another member for any reason.

- Military units between member nations may be trained and used together as a combined force if needed or wanted (area for training and housing will be determined at a later date).

- Member nations can contribute military hardware and items without committing troops, and this will still be deemed as aiding a fellow nation.

Part 3- Structure:

- The Alliance will make decisions based upon military and economical issues by voting.

- Each nation will have 1 vote on an issue: No more, no less.

- If a nation does not vote on a particular issue, the vote is simply thrown out.

- To settle draws, a committee of 5 will be elected by the members to come to a final conclusion.

- There are no lead figures or nations with more voting power than the other: This will function as a Republic.

Part 4- Other Alliances:

- The Unified Federation will respect the alliances of its members and will not attack their members or engage in hostile action against them.

- If an alliance that is recognized by the UF attacks the UF, the members of the Unified Federation will defend themselves, and protection granted by the UF to its members will be suspended.

- To the above, if a member of the UF finds itself bound by another alliance to attack the UF, they WILL be held accountable for their actions. Allegiance to one group does not provide an excuse for destruction.

- If a member's alliance(s) conflict with the UF and its devotion to preservation and peace, they may leave peacefully. No group is bound to this alliance if they choose to join.

Any member who violates any of these agreements will be suspended from the Unified Federation immediately until a further point. The duration of the suspension will be determined by the members of the UF through trial, and economical sanctions will be placed upon the violater if deemed so by a vote. Military action will only be taken if said violater attempts to conquer or overthrow the government of a member, and even then, said military action will also be voted upon.

OOC: This is my first alliance, don't really know what I'm doing, anyone wanna help me out?

The Intercontinental Empire of Crimmond approves of the terms of this alliance. They are simple, clear and, though it does not detail the exact penalties for breaching the agreement besides expulsion, the document is a very good starting block for an alliance to spring from.

The Intercontinental Empire officially wishes to sign on to this alliance, so long as it's members do not instigate conflict with members of NATO, Gholgoth or the GASN, all of which the Empire has membership in or has mutual defense pacts with.

Aerospace Logistics and Vault-Tec analysts have found this alliance fitting and not excessively binding, and these companies would like to join it. The discounts are sensible and not leading to total loss of profit, and offering aid to nations around the globe is the most familiar business for ALC.

Being committed to the principles of peaceful competition, we are not going to attack any sensible nations, and assume that ones attacking us would be exiled from the alliance automatically.

While the Coordination Council of Vault 10 is still reviewing this, their decision has little effect. Our companies would like to join the alliance, of course, if there is no restriction of accepting international corporations and not nations.

[OOC: What do you intend to call this new alliance?]

Upon review of the above terms, His Majesty King Zachary approves Lower Columbia's membership in this alliance. Our markets and troops are henceforth at its disposal.

The Alliance, henceforth known as the Unified Federation, recognizes the admittance of The Crimm, the Aerospace Logistics and Vault-Tec Corporations, and Lower Columbia into its ranks.

The Unified Federation also will acknowledge and honor the request of The Crimm to avoid war or other hostile actions against members of its other pacts. This goes the same for other member nations, and it is asked that any member of the UF recognize the alliances of its fellow members.

The Britannic Empire of British Londinium wishes to join this Treaty Organisation.

The Imperial Democratic Republic of Nova Brittanica would like to gain acceptance into this alliance. We also request you recognize the Imperial Alliance of Left-Wing Nations.

The Unified Federation accepts British Londinium and Nova Brittanica into its ranks. It also recognizes the Imperial Alliance of Left-Wing Nations.

ooc: that it is. . . btw, I recognized the Intercontinental Empire, just called it The Crimm instead, changed the name to suit it now though. Sorry bout the confusion.

It means that no member can have a war with any member of any alliance any other member is in?

That's a bit - or rather way too overboard, since this will lead to quite ridiculous situations with members from different primary alliances joining.
I'd rather change it to the following:
"The UF is not bound to aid in defense of a member if he is attacked in response to actions against an alliance recognized by UF."

Yes, but this alliance is bound to defend its members. I will delete the section I put in so far, and will set up an HQ so that our members may vote upon the matter of what to do with members in other alliances.

My position is still that the UF should recognize fellow member's alliances, but, like you said, we don't have to protect our members from troubles that spring from those other alliances: they have their other allies for that. We protect our members from their personal or our group troubles.

Noble alliance of The United Federation, we do not wish to join, however, are you interested in signing a pact with the LFR (League of Free Republics), meaning our alliances assist each other in defense, invasions, etc.?
