I feel that we should make an Internaltional Stock Market. Countries all over can come up with Companies for it as well as Mutual Funds. ANy one wanna lend a hand?

Some Ideas could be useful on how to run it. (as in what goes up, what goes down)

How it will work:
We will base it on how much is bought and sold each RL week to determine how the stocks will change. If I can get more people to be 'admins' as it were than I may be able to get it update it faster.

What if you made it based on how many people actually bought and sold the stocks a week? That would certainly work.

Well I was asking people to make up some companies for it so that I'm not the only one with them in it...
Oh, you want specific companies? Ok. The UES main companies are:

Backerbloc Air
This airline presently is dominating the local and international airline industry in the Ed States. The CEO of the company is William Backerbloc Jr., son of William Backerbloc Sr., the company's founder.

Jack Ver Incorporated
Also known as Ver Inc., this mining and smelting metal corporation is the main supplier of steel in the Ed States. Steel is one of the nation's most profitable industries, seeing as the highlands are littered with quarries of various metals. It's present CEO is Ben Daniels, the richest man in the Ed States.

The QuinnFi Association
This company is the largest power company in the Ed States. It supplies about 92% of all power to Ed States buisinesses and private homes alike. The primary power source of the Ed States is nucleaur power, mined from a large nucleaur deposit in the Ed States. Ed States nucleaur power laws are strict, due to the possibility of a leak. The present CEO is Terence Nomie.

Fassili Arms Manufacturing
This company is perhaps the largest and most influencial in the Ed States. It is famous for being founded by a Italian immigrant, Enrico Fassili, in 1943. According to folklore, he was on the run from a German U-boat secretly patrolling the east coast during WWII, for he was a Italian military official who had decided to run away from the Italians and Germans and get to the allies, when his ship landed in the Ed States. Although many historical docuemnts and various accounts put this theory down, a Hollywood 1996 movie about his life made people think he was some kind of anti-fascist spy, trying to reach his wife and unborn son, whom he managed to smuggle out of the country right before the Nazis came after him. Presently, the companies' CEO is Duilio Fassili, grandson of the late Enrico Fassili.
(Fassili makes only small arms, and a lot of civilian rifles, like hunting/recreation rifles at that)

The United Ed States, you've been added

I'll throw a couple companies in the mix

Henderson Corporation:

One of the two dominant manufacturers in the country of Raithal, its global reach, like any Raithal company, is non-existant, but it manufactures a wide range of industrial machinery, and farm equipment from threshers to combines to tractors to large scale diesel generators. Runs a small army in the Summerland, presently a participant in the civil war, arming and fighting alongside the USC against the government, facilities still allowed to operate unhindered however.

Seyek Industries:

Created several decades after the Seyek family was removed from power, it is a leading national corporation, run by James Seyek until he turned rebel and sought to reinstate the monarchy. Now that James is the King, the facilities he took with him have been reintegrated. The company runs the small shipyards, as well as various factories producing basic goods such as textiles, paints, and construction equipment. Arms factories are a recent addition, specifically manufactures the Carl Gustav 84mm Recoilless Rifle, as well as mortars and small arms munitions.

OOC: Well, say there's X Industries. X Industries owns 3 major branches: A Chemicals, B Ironworks, and C Robotics. Would we list X Industries only, or it AND its three divisions?

Imperial Kregaian Industries

The biggest company in the Empire today, IKI owns an array of smaller companies that provide practically everything the Imperium needs. IKI thus has its fingers in practically every market out there, from mining to microchips to warships. The CEO, Davian Erminus, is one of the richest men on the planet and second only to the Sacred Emperor in wealth in the Empire (and since the Sacred Emperor's holdings include things that cannot be bought or sold, such as the many priceless artifacts of the early Empire, the Imperial Palace, and all artworks patronized by the Iron Throne, in practice Erminus is the richest man in Kregaia).

Odium Technologies, Inc.

A large subdivision of IKI, Odium owns a sizable percentage of the technology market, with several silicon-extraction installations in the Empire, a fleet of transport ships and trucks, and a number of factories at which the microchips are assembled. Working closely with the company Millenium Computers, Odium produces over 50% of the Empire's personal computers.

Kregaian Imperial Fleet Works, Inc.

One of IKI's largest subdivisions, Fleet Works handles the naval aspect of the Imperium's industry as the largest supplier to the Navy. Other, smaller corporations have more of a role in building fishing boats and such, but Fleet Works builds everything from the massive Apophis-class superdreadnaughts to the Sacred Emperor's luxury yachts.

Thanatos Military Engineering

Founded around the end of the nineteenth century, this company existed to provide arms and warships for the Imperial armed forces, and was awarded the contract for the first converted Imperial aircraft carrier back in 1924. The Navy relies less upon it now than then, but Thanatos provides a large percentage of Imperial artillery, APCs, and transports. It also has a very active research branch, currently working on the contract to build the next generation of MBT for the Legions (among others).

I want a minimum of 25-50 companies before I open the main thread. I figure I'll add a nother company or two of my own. Plus, if anyone wants to sell stock of a store that has a storefront than if they provide me a link I'll incorporate it into the main thread for a little more realism.

Warmaster, I understand now. The only way a sub-division's stock can be sold seperately is if it has it's own board of directors/owns via stock.

I have 2 major companies. May I add them?

Mand'oa Airlines- The Mando'a Airlines travel in international and domestic flights. They rely on confort and satisfaction. A smaller branchoff, Mand'oa Express, was created soon after The Great War when more and more people took to the skies and the Mand'oa Airlines and Express companies skyrocketed.



Mandalorian Weapons Manufacturing- Ever since The Great War, the Mandalorian Weapons Manufacturing has increased in size. This company sells their goods to private hunters, police forces, and parts of the Maldorian Army. They specialize in the construction of handguns, sniper rifles, and assault rifles. The company is headed by Kilrain Fruo.

i tryed this some time ago with my old nation but it was based on real storefronts. Basicly the way it worked out was based on 1 week sales/number of shares = share price.

They way this was worked out was you had your opening price on shares based of your 1st week (or the last week befor you signed up for the stockmarket) for exsample:

say your 1st week profit was 10 billion and you wanted say 100 million shares.

10 billion/100 million = 100 per share

now say the next week you made a profit of say 5 billion thats:-

15 billion/100 million = 150 per share

now say the week after that you made a 6 billion loss:-

9 billion/100 million = 90 per share

the only problem with the system was it ment other people had to do some work (even tho all i ever asked them to do was to supply the 1st week makings then every week supply how much profit they made.)

Well seeing as that's the best formula that has come up (I've asked soem of my RL friends for tips) I think I'll go along with that. However, would you mind lending me a hand when this starts? I'll need some extra brains to keep this up to date.

Atlantis Airlines:
A relativly small, prosporous international and domestic airline based in many nations with borders on the Atlantic. Only flies to Atlantic countries at the time being, center base in Nova Brittanica.
Crown Jewels:
Highly powerful and prosporous mining, jewelling, and conversion (graphite to diamonds) corporation. Has bases world wide, but primarily based in Nova Brittanica.
Bucktooth Beaver Oil
A Nova Brittonian corporation, sells oil from Nova Brittanica to nations all over the world. Highly prosporous.
MacroSoft:
A software, hardware, etc. corporation that is highly succesful. Based in Nova Brittanica, it is highly prosporous, and sells it's products world wide.

A larg, prosporous international airline based in many nations worldwide. Primarily between Europe and Nova Aquaria, and also makes national flights.


Bic Arms Company
A very large exporter of fighters mainly, and some machine guns and navy ships.

Nexium Motors
Big maker of cars, primarily SUVs.

Imperial Oil
The largest producer of Aquarian oil, very very big, sells to other nations as well.

Aqu Corporation:
A software, hardware, computer company corporation that is very big. World-Class software.
