In the newly formed country of Trensk made from Estonia and two former Russian Provinces, Pskov Oblast and Smolensk Oblast which are very close to Estonia, a new era was dawning for the peoples of those small area's, for years the area had been undergoing revolution and much turmoil, but from the ashes of the old regime a new figure has sprung up, a man by the name Fredrick Bulov who had a strong sense of honor and a calculating mind managed to gain control of the revolutionary movement and organize it into a fighting Force that overthrew the remnents of the Old Regime, Fredrick was crowned King and he had earned the love and respect of the people through smooth talking and promises that they would be a great nation.
In the former Capital of Estonia, Tallinn, now the center of the Trensk Empire, the King declared on National Television of their independance from Russia and promises of Peace.
Here is part of his official statement to the world.
"Fellow neighbors, we of the Kingdom of Trensk had finally thrown off our oppressors and have unified ourselves in the name of Peace and Unity, i have seen enough bloodshed to last me until the end of time, as have the people of Trensk, therefore i promise all nations that we shall have peace in the world even if it takes years, all we must do is work together and we can acheive anything we set our minds to as demonstrated here in former Estonia, Pskov Oblast and Smolensk Oblast, thank you for your time."
Fredrick is planning on making a speech to the people of Trensk about their role in the world soon and we come to you live from the Capital Tallinn with Reporter David Howizter.
"Fredrick is preparing to make his speech which will start at any moment, the square is packed with people in raincoats and it is quite chilly this morning, ah! He's beginning!."
The Camera turns to show a man in a long black trenchcoat, underneath he wore a buisness suit, his hair was blonde which didn't go past his shoulders, cut short yet not military style, he stood at a average 6 ft and was quite fit, not like a weightlifter's fit, but more Military fit, his skin was caucasian and his face was stern yet his eyes showed a glint of steel as if he was mentally prepared to face the crowd, he walked up to the Microphone and folded his hands behind his back.
"My fellow Trenskians, not long ago we where oppressed and put down, we where slaves to the old rule and our freedoms where non-existant, they thought they could keep us submissive and under their thumb, but we have thrown them off and taken our fate into our own hands!"
The crowd cheered and applauded his words.
Fredrick held up his hands to ask them for their silence.
"However, we are still young and only together can we become a great nation, thereore i ask that each and every one of us put forth our best efforts and show the world that we can govern ourselves and that we are now free and tired of fighting those who would threaten our freedom, thank you and may God bless us all."
With that the crowd cheered loudly and Fredrick left the stage that had been set up and started to walk through the crowd, shaking the hands of his countrymen and away from the square.
"That is all, back to the local news."

Inside the Ministry of Intelligence, little attention was paid to the Baltic region anymore. It was under the control of staunch allies of the Empire and of little concern. However, when a small little state called Trensk showed up on the airwaves, attentions were turned. The Ministry had little information on it except that the leader was King Fredrick Bulov, making it a monarchy. The Trensk Empire, as it was called, was new, formed after underground revolutionaries saw to it that when the Bjornoyan state collapsed, they didn't go into turmoil with many other nations. Things were vastly skeptical about this new Empire but still, water had to be tread lightly.
The Empire had a vested interest in the Baltic region, after all, it was in 1995 that they saw defeat in Kaliningrad. The Empire had done its best to secure the land under the banner of unification but it was a banner that fell. The people revolted and after a quarter of a million of them died and millions more displaced, the Empire called it quits. It vacated Kaliningrad, torn apart by civil war and revolution. Soon after, the Germanians invaded and suppressed any and all rebellion. Still, leaders had escaped and that was bad news. The Ministry of Intelligence was curious as to the status of many of them, still wanted by the Empire for their crimes. If they were caught they would be imprisoned on executed, despite the war being six years to the past.
With the rise of a new state there was a question to be asked. Was this a state harboring those terrorists? The question was a difficult one and whether or not the government was aware that they might be hiding there was a different story. The Empire wasn't about to label this state as a successor to the Kaliningradian disaster, no, that would be deceitful and wrong. The Trensk Empire was at a crossroads of ideology and things had to be kept stable. With the Germanians, the Cottish, the Hawdawgians, and others around the Trensk Empire, there was safety in the fact that it was contained. If there were any leaders of the Kaliningradian rebellion there, they wouldn't get very far. Echoes of that terrible war still bounced off the walls of the Emperor's office and he needed not be reminded of the lives lost in that conflict. Still, it would be a terrible thing to not say anything to this newly formed state.
Official Communique
To: Trensk Empire, King Fredrick Bulov
Fr: The Empire of Layarteb
The Empire is pleased to see that stability is coming to this region after so many years of confusion and uncertainty. Let the Empire be the first nation to shake the hand of the Trensk Empire in continued peace and tranquility. We hereby officially recognize the Trensk Empire and hope that it succeeds as well as its predecessors did.
Signed,
The Emperor
The Realm of Cotland traditionally had a lot of interests in the Baltic and Russian regions, and quickly noticed the emergence of a new state in the ashes of the former Bjornoyan Federation holding of Estonia and the former Russian regions of Pskov and Smolensk, which many decades ago had been under Cottish control before the Russians emerged and deported whoever remained from the Cottish reign to Gulags in Siberia. Due to the location of the new country, it fell under the purview of the Baltic Office in the 10. Department in the Cottish military intelligence service FO/E. Here, the footage was checked carefully and analysed, and all available intelligence was collected from the various other departments.
After a few hours, it was decided that for the overseable future, the new nation posed no threat to the Realm, and the fact that they had decided to become a Kingdom. The analysis and conclusions were handed over to the Foreign Ministry for them to make any future decisions while FO/E tried to get more information from the area. Two KH-1/A Improved Crystal spy satellites operating in a orbit of 470 kilometers above the Earth were quietly tasked with paying attention to the newly formed nation which was called Trensk, as a precaution.
After a few hours of debate and going through the intelligence, the beurocrats in the Foreign Ministry decided to recommend that the Realm officially recognize the new nation. This recommendation was further backed by the fact that the Layartebian Empire, arguably the closest ally the Realm had, had recognized the Trensk Empire, as they called themselves. Half an hour later, an official transmission was issued from the Office of the Prime Minister in Oslo.
Official Transmission
To: King Frederick Bulov, Trensk Empire
Fr: Prime Minister Thomas Rothsky, the Realm of Cotland
Dear sir,
It pleases the Realm to see a new and peaceful nation state emerge in the troubled area of the Baltic. We hope that the emergance of the Trensk Empire will usher in a new era of peace to the Baltic region, and we hope that the Trensk Empire will spearhead this era. With this as a backdrop, the Realm is happy to be among the first to officially recognize the Trensk Empire as a free, independent and sovereign nation state.
Realizing that recognizion alone isn't enough to form a strong and free state, the Realm hereby offers a trading agreement with the Trensk Empire, and, pending peaceful dealings, military co-operation, should the Trensk Empire wish it.

Fredrick Bulov sat in his desk, mountains of paper-work cluttered one side in 3 small stacks, small yet still a large amount of work, he had received messages from both Nations and reached over to the far side of his desk and activated a small switch, a small screen opened up in the very center of the desk and the words Transmitting Now appeared in green letters on the black screen.
Fredrick Bulov (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/8/89/RE4_Wesker.PNG)
He was sending a message to the Layarteb Empire first and nodded towards the screen.
"We thank you for your welcome and all the people of Transk hope we will live up to our predesessors and even one day surpass them, should you like to speak further about Diplomatic Relations i invite you to send a representative to Transk when you wish and discuss it.
May peace reign eternally."
With that he ended transmission to Layarteb and switched over to the Realm of Cotland.
"I thank you for welcoming our people to the world at large, we also wish to bring peace to this troubled area and keep it peaceful for as long as possible, as for Diplomatic dealings and military co-operation, well, that should be discussed not over the Communications Link, but by our representatives, however i am open to discussing them with you and seeing if we can reach an agreement that would benefit us both.
I must go now, for paperwork will not finish itself unfortunatly, may your reign be long and prosperous."
With that he shut off the link and started to work on the paper with his mighty pen in his right hand, he had much work to do and little time to do so...It was times like this he wished that sombody else could do this writing...
With the positive response from the Trensk Empire, the Cots got to work preparing to establish a new diplomatic legation, this time in Tallinn, the de facto capital of the Trensk Empire. After a quick search through the available diplomats, it was decided that David Cohen was the ideal candidate. Cohen was an Israeli-born diplomat who at age fourty-two had shown himself time and again as a capable member of the Diplomatic Corps. He was in line for getting an embassy of his own, and this was the ideal place to start.
After calling Cohen and discussing it with him in detail, the Foreign Minister summoned him to the Ministry and had a long conversation with the man. He was to travel to Tallinn as quickly as possible and establish formal relations between Trensk and Cotland, with the temporary position as His Majesty's Representative to Trensk. Assuming that the negotiations went well, he would be elevated to the position as the Cottish Ambassador to Trensk and be in charge of establishing a permanent diplomatic legation. Furthermore, he had to leave as soon as the King had signed the necessary papers that authorized Cohen to negotiate in the King's name. With the King being on his honeymoon in the Caribbean at the moment, the papers had to be brought there, signed and then returned to Cotland post haste. Fortunately, the Air Force had one of their new air superiority fighters which could do Mach 3.6 on a good day as well as a number of refueling aircraft available, so the papers were expected to be back within twelve hours.
That meant that the Cohen would be on his way on Friday evening, something which might pose a problem as the Representative was a practicing Jew, and the Sabbath which lasted from Friday evening to Saturday evening was clearly stipulated in the Jewish holy book, the Torah, not to be violated. Still, an hour later, the Minister had finally managed to convince the man that this was a good enough reason to break the Sabbath, just this once.
So, twelve hours later, Cohen was entering a white-painted V-17/A Gulfstream along with a few aides for the flight to Tallinn, which would take the executive jet over Hawdawgian Sweden. That shouldn't be a problem though, since the Realm and Hawdawg were extremely close allies. The flight would take one hour, and fourty minutes later, just outside Trensk airspace, the aircraft radioed the Trensk aviation authorities.
"Trensk traffic air control, this is Delta Tango 4-2-6, diplomatic transport from the Realm of Cotland transporting His Majesty's Representative to Trensk and his staff. Requesting permission to enter Trensk airspace and land at Tallinn airport."

The Air Traffic Controller's voice came loud and clear over the Radio in a gruff and serious tone.
"Affirmative, you are cleared to land on Runway 3, the area has been cleared by the Trensk Defence Force and the King is waiting for the Representative of Cotland, careful Delta Tango 4-2-6, there are crosswinds comming from the North-East which may force you to make adjustments."
With that he went silent, on the Ground several feet away the King stood in a black suit and had black tinted sunglasses on, the wind blew at his blonde hair while 2 TDF Guerilla Fighters stood right behind him, they did not carry AK-47's, but Beretta Pistols instead, standing at attention waiting for any threats to their King to come about...

The King agrees to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Layarteb at your earliest convenience.
"Wilco," The Air Force Captain piloting the government aircraft said in response, adjusting the course and throttle to compensate. He had landed in far worse locations than this one, and there was no problem as the large white aircraft gracefully touched down at Runway 3, powering down the engines and engaging the speed brakes quickly. When it had slowed down sufficiently, the Gulfstream taxied over to the designated area and came to a stop ten meters from the welcome party.
Inside, the fasten seatbelt light flickered off, allowing for David Cohen and the rest of the passengers inside the aircraft to get up from their seats and get ready to exit the aircraft. The female stewardess had already started opening the door, which doubled as flightstairs, and smiled as the passengers started exiting.
The Cottish delegation consisted of David Cohen, as mentioned earlier, two senior aides, three lower-ranking aides and six security personnel, armed lightly with L104A2 Tactical Assault Pistols under their jackets along with spare clips. The L104A2 TAP was a Layartebian-produced weapon, designed for maximum durability in the field. Weighing in at just over 0.9 kilograms fully loaded, and loaded with twelve 9x33 millimeter (.357 Magnum) rounds in each magazine, the twenty-centimetre weapon was easily concealed and, in the hands of a skilled marksman, deadly accurate up to 75 meters range. The six security personnel, men from the FO/S' (military security service) third department, were all highly skilled marksmen, all of them ex-special forces. Their mission was to protect His Majesty's Representative to Trensk at all costs, or die trying.
Cohen walked over to the Trensk King with a smile on his face and his hand extended, the rest of the delegation following suit.
"Your Majesty, I am David Cohen of the Cottish Foreign Ministry, currently in the service as His Majesty's Representative to Trensk. It is an honor to meet you sir."

December 5, 2006 - 12:30 [GMT]
Dublin, Ireland
The C-21B Learjet 80 sat on the runway, holding short, at Dublin IAP. Inside was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his immediate staff of six bodyguards, three military police, and ten aides, two of which were concealed bodyguards and aides at the same time. The twenty of them sat comfortably inside of the Learjet They were waiting for the airspace ahead of them to clear and that meant they were waiting for the escort fighters to take off, both of which were F-32A Foxhounds. Two fighters were already in the air, those being the much more nimble F-22B Raptors. With the pilot and copilot inside the cockpit, doing last minute checks on gauges and the seventeen men in the cabin of the plane discussing what to expect when they landed at Tallinn Airport, where a 10,070 foot runway would be more than enough for them to land comfortably.
"Omega 4-1. You are cleared for takeoff, runway 10. Depart heading 0-1-5.:
"Roger that." The pilot pushed up the throttles and both engines came alive from idle to full power, pushing 4,000 pounds of force each for 8,000 pounds of thrust, total. The Learjet roared down the runway, albeit much quieter than any other airliner or even a fighter would be on takeoff. When they reached 190 miles per hour, roaring down at 78.9 dB, they rotated and took to the skies. They climbed upwards at a shallow angel of attack, only 8° and retracted their landing gear as their airspeed increased faster and faster. When they passed 5,000 feet, they throttled back and allowed the engines to scale back and their speed gain to slow down.
"Omega 4-1. Dublin departure. Resume own navigation." The pilots nodded and banked the aircraft north. They would have to fly around the island of Britain. They didn't have the proper time to get clearances from the Holy Republic of Hawdawg, which would have been beneficial but this flight had been scraped together almost instantly. They would have time to get some clearance to fly over North Germania, primarily Denmarck. They would fly up and over the water, towards Tallinn.
When they were thirty miles out of Tallinn and approaching Trenskian airspace, the pilots radioed in, their flight of escort fighters flanking closely. "Trenskian control. Trenskian control. This is Omega 4-1 carrying Layartebian diplomats. We have a proper flight plan, accompanied by four advanced fighters. Requesting permission to enter airspace and land at Tallinn Airport."

"Roger that Tallinn. We're inbound. Adjusting for crosswinds." The Learjet banked now and began its ILS approach, picking up signals from the airbase as they were guided down. They entered their descent as well, coming down from 40,000 feet. They slowed down just as well, setting themselves up for the landing. Because they were more agile, the F-22 Raptors would stay with the Learjet on its entire descent while the F-32s stayed up higher, their longer range missiles more useful against incoming threats. If an emergency arose, a dozen more fighters, flying over the North Sea, could be vectored to them at supersonic speeds with missiles galore. At least six more F-22 Raptors, four more F-32 Foxhounds, and four F-39C Super Eagles were orbiting their patrol routes over the North Sea, a KC-26E Condor heavy tanker on station for refueling operations. So long as the Learjet was in Trenskian territory, the fighters would be on guard, shifting stations every six hours. If it came to a rescue operation, they could be vectored in immediately.
The pilots slid the Learjet into its descent route, the 50 mph wind gusts making the landing more than difficult. They continued to take directions from the air traffic controller (ATC) as they fell in line. In the cabin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs was slightly upset about not being able to meet the King but he would stay as long as necessary to have an audience with him, after all, that was the entire purpose of his visit. He would greet the ambassador with just as much respect and though very little was known about the country thus far, there could be a lot of mistakes with etiquette and culture. The Minister would have to remain as vigilant as possible.
As a testament to their excellent training and skills, the two pilots put the aircraft down, on the runway, just as another gust of wind kicked up, and caught its wing. The aircraft almost flipped but the pilots reacted quickly and countered properly. With a thump, the aircraft touched down on the ground, a harder landing than normal, so hard it would require an inspection of the landing gear after they taxied to the hangar. The F-22 Raptors and F-32 Foxhounds landed shortly thereafter, all taxiing to a secured hangar on the far side of the airbase. The pilots would remain with the aircraft as well as the three military policemen, all of them sporting assault rifles and orders to guard the aircraft with their lives. There were eight pilots total so, combined with the three MPs, they would take three shifts guarding the aircraft, in three groups of three. The pilot and copilot of the Learjet, because of their mission, were required to be ever ready to get into the aircraft and fly off, meaning that though they were armed, they did not do active patrolling. That was left up to the MPs and pilots, who sported M80A1 Assault Rifles and M75A1 Submachine Guns, respectively. The Learjet pilots were armed with the M75s as well.
With the planes secured in their hangars, the three MPs and one bodyguard flew down the stairs of the aircraft and stood at its guard, their weapons off safety. The Minister followed next. With a smile on his face, he held out his hand and strode towards the ambassador. "It's a pleasure to meet with you sir. I am the Layartebian Minister of Foreign Affairs, here on duty from the Emperor directly."
"What a marvelous idea. After you sir," Cohen said, still with a friendly smile on his face. He followed the King to the limo and got in to the relatively warm vehicle after the King. Once inside, and with his aides following in either the limo or some of the follow vehicles, Cohen continued.
"Sir, I wish, on the behalf of my Government, to extend the warmest greetings and thoughts from the Realm of Cotland. As I'm sure you know, we've been around for quite some time, and we're always happy to welcome new nation states to the world. The Realm has already officially recognized the Trensk Empire as a free and sovereign nation state, and as such we wish to offer the Trensk Empire a hand of friendship. My Government and I feel that it is appropriate to start with the establishment of official diplomatic relations. Therefore, the Realm hereby offers to the Trensk Empire the right to establish a diplomatic legation, an embassy if you wish, in our capital city of Oslo, provided naturally that we be allowed to do the same in the Trensk capital city. Is this acceptable sir?"

Fredrick listened after he got in carefully, analyzing the offer and weighing the possible Pro's and Con's of accepting or rejecting their offer.
He gave a smile and nodded his head.
"That is quite acceptable to us" He simply stated as the limo started moving with the car's behind it, Fredrick leaned back and looked out the window briefly before turning back to the Ambassador.
"We may be a new state, but give us enough time and we can turn even this frozen wasteland into a industrialized sector that could rival even the Russians, as we speak Factories are being builtm supplies and the like are being manufactured for the people and any possible trade, also we are beginning mining operations to the north, Coal and other raw materials are being extracted which we will trade for food and other resources that we require." He stated...
Meanwhile...
Ambassador Waltok smiled and shook the hand of the man, the grip was strong yet not enough to cause pain, he then gave a quick brotherly hug to the man and nodded.
"Welcome to Trensk friend, i apologize no behalf of the king that he could not be here, but he was dealing with other diplomatic issues, but come, let us get out of the cold and somwhere warm no?" he asked cheerfully, two TDF Guards to the side stood at attention with their arms folded behind their backs, ready to snap to action if required, their eyes watched them like hawks...Ready to spring at a moment's notice.
"Excellent!" Cohen said, his face transforming into a smile when the King accepted the Cottish offer. He then listened as the King explained the situation in Trensk, and left a gap for Cohen to exploit.
"May I inquire sir, what natural resources does Trensk possess, apart from coal which the Realm phased out decades ago? I am sure that we can find some sort of arrangement between our two countries."

They climbed into the vehicles and the Minister adjusted his suit jacket. "Tallinn. I've never been here, I regret. I like it already. So tell me, Mr. Ambassador, how did the Trenskian Empire come about?"
"Iron ore and silver eh? The Realm would be very interested in trading those commodities. We are also interested in textiles, wood and furniture. What would you wish in return for said commodities? The Realm can be very forthcoming..." Cohen said, entering into business mode. His father had owned a high-end store in Jerusalem before he had retired, one which his brother now operated. A cousin owned a diamond shop in Layarteb City as well. Business was in Cohen's blood, but he prefered diplomacy. In a sense, his business skills had helped him in the diplomatic corps, which wasn't all that different from conducting business. It was all about bargaining for the best price, only that the price was often in a different commodity than currency...

Waltok sighed as he sat down and nodded to the other man.
"The Treskian Empire started during Russian rule, tired of being forced to labour for a country that does not respect our people a group rose up and started to take the fight to them, at first it was small, a team of 12 or so ragtag revolutionaries destroying small military targets and somtimes even getting their hands on a landmine or two and destroying some trucks in a convoy, over time it grew to round 1,000 men and women, the leader at first was a short and clever man called Eric Corlan, a former Russian Captain who deserted, he was knowlegable in tactics and making munitions, however he lacked...Talent for motivating troops, soon a new figure arose, a Revolutionist named Fredrick Bulov, our king, gained control of the movement by convincing others to support him and displaying amazing skill in leadership and tactics, he managed to wrestle control of the movement and started to lead daring attacks on Russian strongholds, he managed to rally over 12,000 Liberation Fighters to his cause and finally after 2 years drove out the old regime.
The movement had won, but now they had to rebuild the country, aside from taking back Estonia we also took two Russian provinces closeby, Fredrick kept us unified and declared that we where now free but must work together to rebuild what we have lost, the people decided to make him King due to his strong leadership during the Movement and his likable character, thus the Transkian Empire was born, that's all there really is to it."
The cars stopped infront of a Hotel they would be using, it had a conference room used by wealthy buisnessmen that they could use to conduct their negociations, He got out and waited for the Ambassador patiently with a cheerful smile on his face.
"And here we are, the new Hotel de Lorance, French obviously, immigrated years ago and built a hotel here, which is good for us."
Meanwhile.
The King watched as the other man entered a serious posture, he was good at reading people, he could tell this one ment buisness and noded.
"We would Trade for Food, Steel and if possible pure oil." he stated simply.
"We believe that this is an acceptable trade. We can supply you with both crude and processed oil from our oil rigs in the North Sea and in the Barents Sea. We believe that we should be set a trading price of, let's say one barrel of oil per one thousand kilos of iron ore. That means that if we are to export lets say one million tonnes of iron ore per year, your nation will aquire one million barrels of oil per year sir. Naturally, this is open for negotiation."

"The Minister smiled. That is a history somewhat reminiscent of the Empire and how it started. We too grew out of revolution. Our corrupt, inept, and ineffective Republican government that preceeded us were seeing to it that, through corruption and idiocy, the Republic of Layarteb was falling apart from both within and around us. We could not have that and our gracious Emperor rose up to lead the revolution. Then we expanded. And expanded. Here we are now. Almost 5 million square miles of land. It's always out of the ashes that arises a great state." The Hotel de Lorance was a wonderful looking hotel, beautiful design on the outside. "Hotel de Lorance you say. I believe that I'll be more than pleasurable here. I've never seen such a wonderous looking building before." The Minister and his aides followed the ambassador through the lavish and luxurious hotel, towards a large and well-stocked conference room. It offered more than a beautiful view of the city, to which the Minister paused and took it all in, a beautiful city before him. "What a beautiful view." He remarked, quietly, to himself as he turned around to see his aides being seated. "I am glad that we could meet so quickly. I suppose that you and I shall be doing the initial conversatings?" He moved over to a chair and put down his briefcase on the table but he did not sit down. "If this is to be, I cannot say how grateful I am that this audience can exist. The Empire has significant interests in the region. I am not aware if you know it but we used to administer Kaliningrad, some time ago, before the Germanians took control of the area.
"Let me explain the situation with Kaliningrad, if you are unaware. The Empire briefly occupied the province from 1990 to 1995. The Empire seized the land amidst terrible civil war, a civil war that was never quite suppressed. In 1993, the North Germanians went to war to the north and, as reinforcements, we stationed a large military presence in our republic. The Parliament and Prime Minister were fully in agreement but revolutionists seemed to see to it that such would not stay. They assassinated the Prime Minister and began an open rebellion, which saw its end in 1995.
"We were pushed from the land and we granted it independence, perhaps the darkest hour of the Empire. It was a phyrric victory for the Kaliningradians, who lost well over 250,000 people in the war. Millions were displaced. So. You see. Kaliningrad remains a sore spot in our history but a spot that we wish to remain in history. We must be fully reassured that Kaliningradian revolutionists and terrorists, who still hold grudges against the Empire will not use your state to exact their revenge upon us. We must be wary, I hope you understand. That is why we wish to form a strong bond and a strong relationship with the King now and protect the interests not only of ourselves but of your continuity as well."

"I understand your concerns that these Revolutionaries would attempt to take control of our state inorder to extract revenge upon your lord's Empire, however rest assured the King has already asserted total control of the country and it is highly doubtful right now that he can be removed from his throne, security is one of our primary concerns and making sure that we can actually defend our fledgling nation from outside forces." he stated calmly.
"I am sure that we can both come to an agreement to solidify the bonds we are building here friend." he said while warmly smiling.
[OOC: 930 million tonnes of iron ore seems a tad much, since in RL, roughly 1,200 million tonnes are extracted worldwide (source: Wikipedia). But okay.]
Cohen nodded and continued, "Well, we hoped to be able to import roughly fourty million tonnes per annum. Naturally we will be willing to pay in either currency or in natural resources, primarily oil or natural gas."

The Minister was pleased and sat down. "Beautiful. I am glad to hear this. Well then, I believe we should get started then. The Empire wishes, in this early age, to recognize the state of Trensk and, at the same time, establish stronger bonds with the placement of an embassy in your capital. Likewish, we would wish for the Trenskian government to open one in ours as well. We would also like to strengthen the power and assertion of the King. Every state needs a military, especially new ones, and the Empire would like to help the Trenskian military get on its feat with excellent and high-tech equipment and technology that will keep your borders secure and safe. Natural resources are on the agenda as well and we're interested to hear both what the Trenskian people need and what they can offer."

( To Cotland- Sorry, alittle typo there mate, >_< I ment to say thousands, my mind was not working then. )
Waltok nodded and relaxed in his chair.
"That we can definately agree to, we will send a delegation to your nation to build and prepare the Embassy while you can build one here in the Capital." he said in a calm yet warm voice.
"We are already in the process of building up the military, we are arranging deals as we speak with acouple nations for weaponry and supplies we would require as well as training, however additional help would be appreciated, our military to put it bluntly is pathetic, our tactics are nolonger required and outdated, they only worked due to the old regime being...clumsy shall we say?"
He listened on and nodded.
"We have recently discovered heavy deposits of Iron Ore and small deposits of Silver in northern Estonia, mining operations are already underway to extract the materials from the rock and process it for use, however we cannot reach full mining potential due to outdated equipment."

"It is good that our embassy plan will strive forward. That is something that our government will be pleased about, something that is good for the future. Your military is new though. I wouldn't call it pathetic just 'green,' per say. You need arms. You need training. You need supplies. You need to form something that does not exist yet. It is an arduous task, one that we'll be certain to help you with and we will be pleased to help the Trenskian government.
"You will have to let us know what you need though, what deals you've made so that we do not redundantly supply you. We want to help in the most effective and efficient means possible. Your mining problem is of little problem too. We can certainly provide access to modern equipment and we can certainly assist you in exporting those minerals. The Empire would be interested in silver."

Waltok nodded and replied "Indeed, we will definately be calling upon you to see what you can do to assist in the reorganization of our military forces, as for the Silver, i am positive that we can come to a...Mutual agreement, we will need new mining equipment to fully extract the raw materials, but with your assistance we can acomplish that with ease."
Cohen nodded and continued, "Well, we hoped to be able to import roughly fourty million tonnes per annum. Naturally we will be willing to pay in either currency or in natural resources, primarily oil or natural gas."

"Excellent. We have a few companies and corporations that can help you out with your mining problems and get your nation on its feet in such a way that one day you will be able to do it yourself. Silver is a valuable resource and we would enjoy having some but allowing you to use its revenue to provide your economy with necessary revenue for sustained subsistence. With that in mind, are there any special requests that you have for our Empire? Perhaps something uncovered?"

Waltok nodded.
"There is one thing that we would appreciate you uncovering, our historians have been reading through old texts in the Imperial Library and have uncovered somthing...interesting, there was apparently an ancient Civilization standing in the southern-most regions of Estonia, it's former name is forgotten, however we have pinpointed the exact location of their Captial city, several Kilometers beneath the surface, we unfortunately do not have the nessesary resources to uncover it however, we are barely just getting this country back on our feet, however, the King believes that this has special significance to our past and from what we have learnt in the Texts this civilization was highly advanced, perhaps even a rival of Atlantis in it's prime."
He paused to let this sink in before continuing.
"In return i have been authorized to grant your nation free passage through Trensk Territories should you ever have the need in times of war or peace, personally i think the king is getting obsessed with that place...." he grumbled the last part softly to himself...

"An ancient land? That is most interesting. Please let me know if you need the assistance of some of the Empire's scholars. I am sure we have a few that have studied such a land. Atlantis has been a popular research topic in some of our universities so we will be more than happy to help. Uncovering this ancient city should be done with the utmost care and I would recommend assembling a team of world renowned and famous archaeologists. The Romans have many."

Waltok nodded slowly and looked the other man in the eye.
"There is another way you could likely help us with, tell me, how good are your people at translating old texts?" he asked, for beside him in a secured briefcase was a pair of old stone Tablets made from an Unknown mineral with old writing upon it that was...strange, the Trenskian Scholars where baffled and found they could not translate the strange writing upon it.
It came from a smaller city 8 KM away from the main site, most likely an outlying town of the capital, it was relatively easy to to excavate it due to the city already partially uncovered, unravaged by the passage of time.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs looked at the texts and inspected them carefully. "Some of these symbols I've seen before. I can't say that I know what they mean but I have seen them." He flashed back to the memories of the search for the sword of Comhghall, the nightmare that it caused. "I think it was in a newspaper article or book. Yes. Something to do with the Mayans in the Yucatán maybe." The information was obviously incorrect. "I am sure that some of our historians might know how to translate this. When I give my report to the Emperor, I shall make it known that you require such assistance. This table though. I'm not geologist but it looks rather unique to me as well. Mr. Waltok, I believe you have yourself quite a quandary. I hope that our assistance will be beneficial." With that he assumed the negotiations were concluded and he looked over at his aides, who assumed the same.

Waltok nodded and slid out of his chair.
"Very good, i shall speak with my King and inform him of our progress, perhaps our people's will work close together in the near future." he cheerfully stated as he nodded to them.
"While our country's official position towards you is...Trusting yet cautious, i can tell that we can beacome good friends, the Driver downstairs will take you either back to the airport or if you want to look around our fair city feel free to do so, i must leave now, i have to contact his Highness, have a pleasant day." With that he gives a small smile and leaves the room, heading down the hall and into a room at the back, dispite it appearing as a 'Hotel' it also had connections with the Trenskian Intelligence Division, it uses the 'Hotel' as a front for many of it's operations.
The room he walked into was almost like the King's office, a desk facing the door, Vid-Link Computer monitor built into the desk, slightly slanted so the person on the other end could see the user's face, but not much else besides ceiling.
There was also 4 Plasma Screen's behind him, each showing a different high-profile area of the Hotel, the Lobby, the Front door, the Back Door and the rooftop, he reached under the desk and pulled out a small keypad and keyed it to a frequency that linked him up to a Trenskian General.
The other man looked middle-aged, had a large scar going from the top of his left eyebrow to the bottom of his jawline, the scar was jagged and looked liked it had hurt massively.
He spoke in an annoyed tone and glared at the Ambassador.
"What is it Waltok?" he growled "Unless you have something to report from your sector then terminate the link."
Waltok grinned and scoffed before calmly saying "Nice to see you too General Richards, i need to inform you that one of the King's guests has finished here, we also may gain assistance in the translation of the Sacred Tomes, i didn't provide much information to those fools, but they'll translate it i'm sure and reveal the location of the exact location where the King of Darkness was buried and then we can finally get revenge upon that pathetic man we call King."
This seemed to please the General.
"Good, inform the 'King', of the progress you made, but remember, do not mention the King of Darkness to him..."
Waltok nodded and terminated the link, got up and left, nodding to himself, he and the General where part of an ancient order devoted to raising their 'King of Darkness', the Trenskian King is a direct decendant of the one who slayed him thousands of years ago...Now...They would have revenge...But first...He had to inform the King of the transaction between him and the Ambassador...
Meanwhile...
The King nodded and folded his hands infront of him on the table.
"Indeed, then we are in agreement?" he asked.
(sorry Cotland it's short, but i'm tired and don't have much energy anymore after writing all that....>_< )
"I believe we are sir." Cohen replied. "Is there anything else you wish to discuss with the Realm?"

OOC: Good RP'ing. Here's my exit from here :).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs nodded as Mr. Waltok departed the office. The Minister was left with his aide staff. "Alright ladies and gentlemen. Let's pack it up and head back. I'd love to tour the city but we don't have time. We've got to get back and iron all this out to the Emperor." Hours later, when the Minister was back in Layarteb City and briefing the Emperor did something come up that he knew he should have brought up, primarily with regard to the ancient texts, if they had any relation to Kaliningrad. Seeing the symbols, he wanted to know what connection they had to Comhghall too and that quest. "Emperor sir. Here's what Mr. Waltok spoke about. First and foremost, I was unable to meet with the King, he was unable to see me but Mr. Waltok, I was informed, was acting in his presence." The Emperor nodded, this being a common occurance, especially to a newborn state. "Their country came out of the shadows of revolution, much like ours but certainly different. It started with oppression I am told and it grew to a full insurgency and branched out after that. With popular support, the movement won. That is only one side of the story, naturally but a side nonetheless. I expressed our concerns with the region, primarily because of our history with Kaliningrad, an explanation to which I gave only public details. I offered our recognition and the desire to open an embassy, both of which were accepted. I offered our assistance to help them build up their military and, at the same time, to request what equipment they had, to assess their capabilities. We got agreements on both, which means we'll know exactly what they have. This way to better protect ourselves. I expressed our interest in silver, an interest greatly accepted; however, the government has little, if any, mining capabilities, to which we'll certainly assist. Perhaps Manchurian Global or some of our other corporations, a way to give them some additional revenue and to be able to better monitor what they're doing where, perhaps to see if any violations are ongoing. There is one last thing, something of an usual request." The Emperor looked up, even more alert now. "Well. Mr. Waltok expressed something about historical texts and archeological dig sites. They had some difficulty with translation and, well sir, it seems odd but when he showed me a little bit of the text, I recognized it."
"Comhghall?"
"Yes sir."
"What'd you say?"
"Only that it looked familiar, something to do with the Mayans."
"Good. What did it say?"
"Nothing of consequence but it was out of context. Only that 'Here lies ye of...' which could mean anything."
"Correct. Keep an eye. They requested our help to decipher them?"
"I offered sir and they accepted."
"Very well. We shall offer help with them on this endeavor but let's keep track what they're looking up. How did Mr. Waltok strike you?"
"Knowledgable and intelligent. He definitely had some things he was hiding but was careful not to go into much detail or even ellude much to it. He's got a good poker face sir. My recommendation is that we continue the path, establish an embassy but see where they go."
"The Ministry of Intelligence will be pleased for another station."
"Yes sir."
"Good. Make it so."
"Yes. The details will be on your desk tomorrow morning."
"Thank you."

Fredrick shook his head negative.
"No, there is nothing else that springs to mind as of yet." He reached into his coat and pulled out a Personal Data Assistant Computer, one of the few advances the old regime left behind worth keeping, the Messages Icon was blinking, signalling that he had an important message, when he saw the sender he sighed, it was from Waltok, detailing the transaction that had taken place and the trade agreement worked out.
He put the PDA back into his pocket and smiled at his guests.
"I apologize for the interruption, but i had a message from one of my people, nothing of significance, and now back to buisness, we will trade Iron Ore for Natural Gas, seeing how our country is not very...Wealthy in that resource."
