OOC: This is kind of an exhibition. I'm teaching him how to RP a war. Advisory is welcome, but no actual military support may be granted to him. Its one on one between myself and he, as he is a good friend of mine in RL.
IC:
"Rainbow Island," Admiral Gerhardt thought, staring at the piece of land which he was about to conquer. "It seems useless, yet it is desired by the New Prussian Empire. Why?" These plagued his thoughts. He did not know why the Wanderjarian Government, Lord Governor Baker, would be interested in this land, but questioning was not his duty. His only duty was to fight. To destroy. To conquer in the name of the Commonwealth.
"Today," He announced over the loudspeaker system which broadcasted to all the ships of the Red Battlegroup around Raibow Island, "We invade Fudgeuup. Here we claim this forsaken piece of land, or what we leave of it, for the Empire!" Cheers erupted across the battlefleet.
He smiled as the sailors, airmen, and Marines cheered at his pre-battle speech. "Death shall come quickly to our foes who do not surrender to the Commonwealth tide. Men! Do not relent! Press the attack until everyone of them has fallen! Fight until there is no more fight in them!" More blood lusting cries came forth, echoeing over the vast expanses of the sea. "You are ready! For the Fatherland!"
With that, hundreds of F-88 Bombers took to the skies, their stealth systems hiding them from the enemies pathetic RADAR sites. These fighter-bombers were escorted by F/A-18 fighters, each of which had the job of destroying any enemy aircraft foolish enough to oppose the Red Airforce, and bomb any enemy troop concentrations, armor columns, Army, Navy, or Airforce bases, crater runways, etc, as was the sole purpose of the F-88s.
Back out at sea, the thirty-thousand Wanderjarian Marines prepared for combat, gathering their gear, writing last minute e-mails and letters to loved ones back in whatever part of the Empire they had come from. Doning their WIWS/FFW (Wanderjarian Integrated Warfighter System/Future Force Warrior) equipment, they readied themselves to be landed upon the beach within two hours, after the Navy had finished their bombardment of enemy beach heads and other positions.
Each battleship, fifteen in all, launched volley after volley of Tomahawk Cruisemissiles, which sailed towards enemy airfields, bases, and beach emplacements which could hamper the advance of the Red Marine Corps. Following immediately, their Naval Guns began shelling the bases and other sites aswell.
From the country, the sight must have been truly hellacious. Death rained from the skies as bombs, high explosive shells, and missiles poured thickly through their air and into the nation.
And this would only be the begginning.

First off, OOC means Out of Character. IC means In Character. If you want to ask me a question about the RP, but not have it either known in the game, or whatever, say OOC. If you want to respond in character however, use IC. Now, what you should do, is respond to my attacks. First, post damage, like how many troops were killed, how many aircraft etc lost. Then, facility damage, how many runways for airplanes can no longer be used, how many bases destroyed, radar sites, beach emplacements (Bunkers, and stuff. Picture Normandy Beach, and those are Beach emplacements), and tell me how many are destroyed.
Then, to find out how many soldiers you have overall, multply your national population by .10 (or 10%) and you have your actual standing military. Most countries use 5%, I use 2-3% because of my size, but because you are being invaded, you can use more. Hell, you can use 50% of your population being armed in order to fight me, but not all of them would be armed, have ammunition, and almost non of them would have any training.
Usually, people like Character RPs, where you write yours like I did mine. Incorporate the attacks, but have different Characters you can use.
Notable Characters that I use in many RPs are:
My national Leader: Emperor/Lord Governor Christoph Baker
My Grand Admiral: Grand Admiral Reinhardt
Major General Zachrias (A Paramilitary General....leads one of my many Mercenary Armies)
