The credit chit was handed over, and the shipyard owner gave a sigh of relief. His shipyard had been doing badly for the past few years - the restrictive laws of the system he was based in prevented him from constructing true warships. The new owner of Illyrian Shipyards, however, was not so law-abiding. He intended to construct warships, and then sell them out to the highest bidder. A fairly simple plan.
He smiled, and pressed his palm down onto the rubber-like surface of the 'reader. A DNA sample, a retinal scan, a brainwave scan, and a full-body scan. Basic security measures, of course. He'd also be putting in a password, under an entirely new encryption system. The shipyards had cost him a mere 112 billion credits - and, when the facilities he had bought were were over two trillion, he did not intend to lose them...

Essentially, the Illyrian Shipyards are a set of construction yards, that, fairly obviously, build ships. However, they are termed Illyrian Shipyards and design for a reason. File in a brief description of a ship, and we'll design it for you - length, height, price.. the whole bundle.
As such, we will only be selling player-ordered ships. Keep in mind that, you order something, we'll design it for you, and then sell it to you. Of course, we'll be using stock-standard FT technology, your masers and grasers, mass-drivers and bomb-pumped lasers. However, to recoup the costs of design, we will be selling these designed ships to everyone. Thus, if you want to make a unique order, do so, and we'll design a ship for you.
However, if someone's already ordered the ship you feel you need, you can simply purchase that.
Rules:
Keep the design outline simple, and reasonably vague in general terms, so we can take a few liberties to get what you want. Price, width, height, length, and weight are something we won't be able to follow to the letter, generally in that order. Saying 'this many metres' won't work. Saying 'around half a klick' will work much better. Keep in mind that if you specify price, your ships will be qualitied-down (or up), depending on how much you want them to cost. However, when you're talking exact details (the amount of generators, the locations of main guns, etc), we will gladly follow your instructions down to the last detail.
Since we'll be creating the prices as we create the ships, we'll be doing the math for you. You need to pay it, and that's all you need to do.
We produce anything from shuttles to dreadnoughts. We do not produce 'death-star' type ships, simply because of a lack of infrastructure.

Fake Order - Information-class Ship
We wish to order a cruiser, around half a kilometre in length. This ship will be about half as wide and broad as it is long, and will be ellipsoidal in shape. It has three main guns, all on the top.
This ship should be optimized for long campaigns, and thus requires its own means of resupply, as well as the ability to repair fighter and shuttlecraft. It should have reasonably powerful shielding, and point-defense guns placed equally around the hull.

So, let the orders begin.
