This is the OOC thread for this RP:
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=12020465&posted=1#post12020465
Which is a sort of continuation after the events of this thread
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=491366
Balrogga the event on Ganoxa was not a civil war but of a invasion from space by the Cyverons. So it wasnt an internal problem actually your space fleet was observing the space battle of Ganoxa. I am continuing after the events from this thread http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=491366.

...which brings me back to an idea that I've had for quite a while: an alliance where any FT nation is welcome, no matter how small. This alliance would mean that each and every member would have the right for an equal amount of support in case they are attacked. The alliance would not be valid for hostile actions, meaning that we defend you if you are attacked, but not if the attack is a response to a previous attack made by you. The alliance would mainly be for small FT nations which are easily over-run by the bigger FT nations who are more used to war. (Of course, bigger nations are welcome as well.) "Unity gives strength." so to speak... We could start off with just the three of us (Communistic Govts, Crazed Marines, Asfaltum) and then try to gain some more members.
As for names... well, The Union, The Alliance, The Republic, The Empire, etc. are quite common names... I was thinking of something more original, like *cough* The League of the Falcon *cough*...
Anybody interested?
Hmm i was thinking more in the line of the Alliance of Free states or United Allied Planets something like those.

You mean names? Sure... as long as you agree to the alliance, we can find a name...:) ...How about "The League of Free Lands"?

United and Allied at the same time? ;)
Besides, we're not united, just allies...:)
What about "The League of Free Lands"?

I tried to type this using my cell phone earlier tonight but when I tried to post, it lost everything. Damn cell phones…
Now to try again.
The Kala-Kiem system has a red giant as it’s star. There are 7 planets as well as a single large debris belt and the Oort Cloud.
The outer two planets are lifeless frozen chunks of rock with several mining operations harvesting rare minerals that cannot be easily duplicated using our Replicators. The next three planets are gas giants much like the ones we have in the Sol system with the middle being the largest of the three. A large number of moons orbit them. The debris belt lies between the gas giants and the inner worlds. The two inner planets are both inhabited.
The second planet is lush and green with a tall spire rising into orbit from the Space Mountain the Empire built/transported there shortly after the planet was colonized. Most of the 17 million inhabitants of the system are either within the Tower or living near the base in one of the cities surrounding the structure. The native flora and fauna offer thick jungles and large creatures moving through them. Several business smart citizens has taken it upon themselves to offer safari and hunts for tourist and enough arrive to keep several groups competing together trying to offer bigger hunts than their competitors.
At the edge of the system is a rather noticeable Gatestation for the Intergalactic Trade Hub (ITH). There is a steady flow of traffic exiting and entering the Local Gate consisting of mostly trade vessels or even a cruise liner from Titan Cruse Lines that arrives and stays for a week before moving on to their next port. The liner remains near the Gatestation and local traffic transports passengers to their in-system destinations.
There is a number of military vessels in the system. There is a single carrier and some support vessels. They usually stay near the second planet but Proteus Fighters and the frigates do patrol the rest of the system, usually between the different mining outposts in the outer planets, the Oort Cloud, and the belt. These same locations also seem to be the destination for the trade vessels.
The innermost planet is baked, no better way to describe it. It also has a few ruins on it’s cracked surface. It is theorized there was a civilization flourishing on it before the star left it’s yellow phase and entered the red giant phase, of which it is approximately midway through. There are expeditions to the surface of the night side to investigate the ruins and several station are located perpetually in it’s shadow.
Between the first planet and the star itself is a small cloud of collectors barely outside the chronopshere. These collectors appear to be several thousand in number and they are harnessing the energy of the star for the colony.
Situated just outside the Oort Cloud is the Defense Network. A large number of strange station looking like a six-sided diamond (or if you prefer, two 4-siders held together so their triangular bases line up). These bases are packed full of every type of sensor, both standard and FTL types. They keep track of things out to ten light years. The weapon systems are also immense. They are designed to face one of the points toward the invaders so four faces can fire at the intruders while the back two sides launches missiles and other guided projectiles to spam incoming vessels. These bases encircle the system in all direction, including above and below the orbital plane. These are kept Uplifted in T-Space unless they are being used or if they are undergoing repairs. They are about 250 meters and possess their own Mirage Drives.
I cannot fire across any dimensional barriers with any of my weapons, I have to be in the same dimension so there will be no cheap shots (I am not planning on using them but I had to state their existence in case you can detect them in the 7th dimension). These are standard defense for my systems.
The Empire typically claims one light year surrounding any occupied territory as a buffer zone (unless it impedes upon another’s then we would negotiate for the half-way mark). This is the only system I have near here.
Now, where exactly are you in relation to the edge of the Oort Cloud of the system? I am unsure and the location would determine my initial response.
If you need more information, just ask.
