The Constitutional Monarchy of Lower Columbia

With my nation's entry onto the world stage, His Majesty King Zachary has charged me with the daunting task of opening relations with many other countries. Therefore, I invite all interested nations to establish a diplomatic presence in our capital of Kendall. The city has ample room for embassies in a special neighborhood not far from the royal palace, where nations may build embassies of either our or their own design. All that we require is the following information:

Number of personnel, both diplomatic and security (not to exceed 100 total)
Number and type of arms to be brought (limited to pistols and rifles for up to 40 personnel)
Number and type of vehicles for the diplomatic corps (limited to 10 unarmored ground vehicles, ranging from motorcycles to SUVs, and 5 unarmed helicopters)

All applicant nations will be subject to a background check prior to approval to verify political compatibility with Lower Columbia. Buechner Motor Co., the nation's premier automobile manufacturer, has graciously offered to provide appropriate diplomatic vehicles for corps whose nations request them.

Dear King Zachary

The Empire of Alexandrian Ptolemais would love to establish diplomatic relations with Lower Columbia. Our proposal would involve one of our more senior officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Paul Steel to become the new Ambassador with Lower Columbia if that would be acceptable. If it is acceptable to you, we wish to initially have twelve diplomatic staff, and twenty security staff, armed with Walther P99s and M82 rifles. This would be limited to one of each type for each member of the security staff.

The Empire wishes to request Buechner Motor Co. to provide our motor vehicles, as long as they are petrol-electric hybrids. We would also wonder if it were possible for the number plate range APT100 - APT110 to be made available. We would also wish if it were possible for five Mi-12 helicopters to be available for our use - the Empire will provide these helicopters.

Our nation would wish to design our own embassy, especially as we envisage that it may need to expand in the future as our business interests grow. It will be designed by the Government Architects office and will fit in with the surrounding buildings.

We would also be honoured if Lower Columbia would be interested in having an embassy in the Empire (OOC: we don't have a thread about it).

It has been decided by the Royal Parliament’s recently passed “Embassies and Horticultural Obstusance Act” that the Salisbury Dominion applies for embassies in foreign states.

It has been decided that the Ambassador from the Salisburgic Dominion to Lower Columbia shall be John Alderton, a very trustworthy man who has been working for the Duke of Gull. He shall bring with him his family, an assistant, and a detachment of 10 of the Duke of Gull’s Halberdiers. Mr. Alderton would like to bring with him his private helicopter. He also would like the embassy to be designed by Lower Columbia.

While we have no embassy program at the moment, there is a new act to be reviewed by the Parliament that would establish such a program. I will let you know should it be passed and a plan for embassies in the Dominion be decided upon.
