The formal conduct of the war was woefully under detailed for the report above, considering how vast a campaign the war against the Dark Eternals truly was. Most of the spearhead campaigns were by the Gaian Council contingents, while the Ascendant and Angelic Legions concentrated on the contaiment of the DE where the DE kept falling back, concentrating forces. The actual percentage of containment, not capture of Systems, was conducted in such disparity, mainly due to the fact the Gaians concentrated on primarily the command control of every System in every galaxy they could come across as Paladin progressed.

The operational objective was to let the DE keep concentrating forces. The cruelest weapon in any war was cutting off supplies to an entrenched enemy. Even an undead enemy had to rely on something to operate, and wholesale stripping of worlds as the DE kept falling back only ended up accelerating the overall aim of the Operation.

Once full containement was achieved, the Sphere Alliance and Celestial Allies would simply solidify the noose, only attacking certain Systems to prevent too large an enemy coordination. The Gaians expected the DE to grow impatient, or realize their mistake, and strike out to break the containment lines.

This is where Phase Two of the War, after all Ten Waves had been sent out, and advanced past the 15% containemnt point, began. The process of utilizing the Kushan droid Fleet model, the advancement on each liberated system left a vast quantity of resource fields and planetoid belts to use, even those mostly stripped of nominal resources. Molecular Yards would be Folded into place in each system, and systematically churn out fleet after fleet of fully encapsulated droid fleets.

Each system left behind has a Yard, and soon after, two operational Fleet Legions, fed both inSystem, as well as from Core Sphere factories, and Intracell ones as well. This left guard forces that could hold a system area of space, without needing to officially hold a system. Only a few actual Sphere souls were needed to coordiante System defenses, as main forces moved on to new objectives.

The containment protocol therefore became the progress of this Kushan tactic, as millions of systems across the Universe were pressed upon in such a manner. The Droid fleets only needed to be effective enough for nearby Fleets to flood in and stop any DE breakout attempt. Those that did were hunted down brutally, the Gaians refused any quarter to the DE anywhere.

By year's end, projections were for 30 -35% containment, enough to pull main forces out for rest and refit, while Angelic forces rotated troops in and continued the campaign. Ascendant forces would shift between Lord Ra`thua Tor's forces and supporting Kushan operations, all to enhance containemt.

It was a terrible price, where each percent of casualties ment billions, at least 30% of the Sphere forces, droid, angelic and mortal alike took continuing casualties, while 25% would return to the theaters within a week timeframe. About 80% of the casualties were however wounded or 'barely' dead, so recycle time was minimal, a few days at most. Still the pain of it all wasn't lost on Commanders.

All of this was boiled down to loyal citizen souls and allies dying to end a harsh threat forever. The ten year timetable was still well within reach.

--------

On the home front, now including the new Supercluster holdings, much of this was kept track of on most basic news networks on all capable civilized worlds. As expected, the home front got mainly sanitized data, generic numbers and news of progress and casulaties of the loyal.

It all became a blur, despite scale, as another war that would last a very long time. Places and names were all alike in the end. Either the Sphere liberated a new system, or were in the process of the same. The news of DE positions were muted for the most part, operational security a usual explanation.

If it all seemed surreal, even fiction, it was not seriously impressed upon to clear such up. The realm belonged to the military mind at the moment, so few had real reason to worry beyond such.

They all knew it was a liberation campaign in the end, they just had to remind themselves of such from time to time.

*White Diamond/Sapphire*

Yurika had to do the same as well. Even the highest of the high had to mindfully drop their senses below the clouds. She spent a large part of her time walking between Council chambers and the War Center.

Speaking was all but done between the hallways between the two.

Lady Belldandy happened to do this as Lady Yurika left the War Center to walk to lunch. "Company today?"

Yurika half-smiled. She didn't do much more these days of such. "Of course."

The two walked past sunlit hallways, the light piercing the overhead branch canopy on the Tree's own whims, ones that would close seal tight if any rains came along during Climatized periods the planet required. A good number of Tree keepers, citizens and such pass them saying hello when free to do so.

Bell pressed, knowing the weight on Yurika's blue tressed brow. "I hear they are both doing well. They'll be out of recovery in a week or so."

Yurika sighed nonetheless. "Yes I know."

They continued down, closing on the Command Central pillar, the wall work changing to more sweeping cuts and more interior holo-lighting, the artwork of craft decorating just as elegantly as always.

Bell pressed again softly. "No one blames anyone besides the enemy here. So..."

"Does it really matter? I should have sent more Reserves to be sure."

"That would be bad form."

Bell and Yurika look up fully, and see Peorth before them. Bell grimmaced a bit, as Peorth's direct approach was not really wanted here. Yurika however wasn't a wilt. "Strategy yes, but personally..."

"We won that battle. We all knew the prices to pay, still so in fact."

Bell chided. "It doesn't mean we treat it all too off handed."

"Nor can we see even our closest any less to the price if called for."

Bell looked at Yurika, the author of the last statement a bit more increduously than she intended to. "Hori is worth more than that. We've known him too long. You know how much if hurt Ruri to know he couldn't remember her.

Is that the cost we're paying, not just in lives?"

Peorth sighed and responded. "Better than what our enemies would take away, to even have what isn't lost yet."

"NOR WILL THEY BE!" Yurika snapped back, startling more than a few passersby. "The DE might think they they can take 'everything' away, but we can take away what 'they' seek to do likewise. All the better to end the fracus of a cycle that need not be."

Bell and Peorth found that same renewed reminder that was needed, in words from one commanding the ones 'paying' that price.

It didn't mean Yurika's brow was any lighter however. Peorth wasn't foolish enough to believe otherwise.

Bell just sighed, not feeling very confident of what she was attempting anymore. Yurika just looked bluntly at Peorth, likewise in return.

"They 'will' be fine." Peorth finally said.

Yurika sighed. "Wish that was enough."

"It 'will'."

Eyes turn to seen Seto joining the discussion again. The three sigh. Seto blinks. "Don't be all joyous at once then."

Just then, am aide rushes up to Yurika and hands a tactical report Padd. Yurika summarizes after a bit. "Diamond Fleet took, LKU-375334 a second DE capital world YUG-D4472 galaxy, that's three so far. only 12% casualties."

Spirits in the hallway lifted a bit. "That will help too." Seto added.

Seto then invted everyone to lunch to soothe things over. A band-aid however for the present. Things were strained already.
