Meeting of the two Asians Powers

Intro:Eurasian Government had always watched with a degree of interest on the matter of the rising power to the Far East in other words, Eastasia. As time passed, pressure grew in the Eurasian Parliament to open more friendly relations with the giant of the east and to set up a free trade pact with them. So many months later, Parliament finally got around to that…and just invited Eastasian Government to send an envoy to set up a fruitful relationship between Eastasia and the United Federation of Eurasia.

At Ankara International Airport

Premier Nasir and the Eurasian Honor Guard stood ready to welcome the their Eastasian counterparts with open arms so to speak..

Numerous thoughts ran through Ibrahim Rahman's mind as he walked down the steps to Eurasian soil. A Sunni Shafi'i Muslim from Malaya State of the United Eastasian Republic, Rahman had been part of the Foreign Ministry for a few years now, although this was his first overseas trip. He had been selected for various reasons, primarily because it was believed that he would build a better rapport with the Eurasians than any of the other prospective diplomats.

Beijing had been most impressed with the timing of the Eurasian contact; it came as the UER was seeking reconciliation with the Empire of Layarteb and the Cottish government, so it added further credibility to Premier Zhao's 'policy of peaceful co-existence'. With the collapse of the Russian Communist Republic and the frostiness of relations with Japan, it was imperative for the UER to secure diplomatic cooperation with neighbours and former enemies alike.

Rahman approached Premier Nasir with a beaming smile and extended his hand.

"Premier Nasir, on behalf of the United Eastasian Republic I would like to thank you for your invitation to Ankara. My name is Ibrahim Rahman, and I have been appointed as special envoy to the Federation of Eurasia. Premier Zhao sends his best regards and hopes that everything is well in this magnificent nation of yours."

Premier Nasir shake the Special Envoy hand and said, “ Indeed, I hope this meeting can open brand new orders of understanding and relations between our two respected powers. Please follow me to the transports.”

Then the Premier lead the Envoy to awaiting Limo, which took them to Premier Palace, which was heavily guarded by Eurasian Special Forces soldiers. The Premier lead the Envoy though the many hallways of the Palace, in till they reached the conference room.

Then the Premier and Envoy took their seats and Premier begin to speak

“Envoy Rahman, my nation is most interested in setting up stable and strong relationship with our Asian kin to the East, after all both our nations share many things in common and differ at the same time…but last that’s the nature of things.”

Rahman offered a friendly smile.

"As you say, we have our differences. However, Premier Zhao is of the opinion that stability will not come if differences are focused on; common ground must be found to build a firm foundation. The United Eastasian Republic would be most pleased to secure the friendship of our Eurasian cousins; we have both brought peace, stability and security to regions that have often experienced division. We have both forged true superpowers, states which will stand the test of time and remain for many more years to come.

We would like to first suggest the establishment of a permanent hotline between Ankara and Beijing. Our two nations have a vested interest in each other's stability, and Eurasian-Eastasian cooperation would undoubtedly be beneficial if any crisis were to emerge in our area of the planet."

The Premier nodded in agreement “ Yes, a hotline would be in our best interest in case of worse scenario type of situation which I hope will not happen…but I believe it would be also a good idea for our nations to sign some kind of free trade agreement between our nations…my nation has vast reserves of oil and natural gas that can be sold to your nation at discount price in exchange to some certain technological that your nation has that help my nation economy..”

"We absolutely agree. The UER is constantly expanding its industrial and commercial sectors, so a steady supply of resources would be most valuable to us. As for technology, I am certain that the UER can provide Eurasia with something of interest. We have some interesting civilian nuclear technology that might be of use to Eurasia; we are currently exploring the possibilities of it ourselves, and we would be more than willing to share the technology.

As for free trade, we welcome such an arrangement. It will be to the benefit of both nations and can only serve to improve the general economy of this continent."

The Premier nodded in agreement and said

“We do have our nuclear research program and we would most welcome your nation help on that matter..Its good to hear that our nations can come a agreement on these matters of trade and etc.. Now to next item of business…my nation would most interested in setting up a cultural exchange program with your nation in the hopes of promoting a better understanding between our nations.”

"Cultural exchange sounds like a superb plan. The United Eastasian Republic has been misunderstood by many people; some nations regard us with contempt and refuse to even acknowledge our existence. We would appreciate the opportunity to showcase our culture, just as we appreciate the opportunity to see Eurasian culture. Premier Zhao has long lamented his lack of knowledge regarding your nation, so I know that he would personally enjoy a cultural exchange program."

"Indeed, both our nations will benefit greatly from this exchange, also would your nation be interested in signing a friendship treaty between our nations?"

"Indeed, both our nations will benefit greatly from this exchange, also would your nation be interested in signing a friendship treaty between our nations?"

"A friendship treaty to boost our focus on bilateral trade and cooperation on mutual interests would be warmly received in Beijing. We do not doubt that our nations have many mutual concerns; addressing them together would allow us to achieve more and we would become closer as a result.

I must admit, Premier Zhao will be overjoyed to hear of this progress."

"Glad to hear it, is there anything that your nation would like to being to the table?"

"We have many Muslims within the borders of the UER, myself included. Premier Zhao was wondering if we could come to some arrangement regarding visits to Mecca, more specifically the Hajj. Would the Eurasian government be willing to grant special visas for Eastasian Muslims to allow them easy access to Mecca when it comes time for the Hajj?

Not only would it increase cooperation and friendship between us, but it would certainly bring a boost to your economy with so many visitors."

"I thank you for being such a gracious host. Let this be the first step towards ever-lasting peace and prosperity between our peoples."

On the return flight to Beijing, Rahman held a video conference with Foreign Minister Ruiyan Bei, who congratulated him on the success with the Eurasians. The United Eastasian Republic was once again making meaningful diplomatic inroads; their ideology had proved to be a handicap in some dealings, but they were determined to show that they weren't as untrustworthy as some believed.
