Griffincrest mercenaries flock to Clandonia Prime

Blackhelm Confederacy

Clandonia Prime's ports were soon to be abuzz with thousands and thousands of Griffincrest mercenaries, sailors, and pilots. Calls went out to the Clandonian government requesting military bases, ports, and air bases throughout the country. It was estimated that within the next few months, over a hundred thousand men, and several hundred tons of equipment would pour into this tiny nation.

Hundreds of advisors were sent to Clandonian bases around the country, ordered to survey the weaponry that the nations military was using. Sales of Bladerunner torpedoes, Mars Light Tanks, Mercury APC's, Kevlar vests and G36E assault rifles were open to the Clandonian military, and Griffincrest was willing to make equipment exchange deals.

AV-18 VTOL gunships hovered all over the Clandoian countryside, surveying the defenses Cravan had along their border. Massive Kraken class dreadnoughts sat off the coast, surrounded by a menagerie of smaller craft, from Homeland Class battle ships down to Um Al Maradim attack boats. Along with the fleet were the cargo ships, loaded up to the brim with equipment that Griffincrest was trying to sell to Clandonia.

Griffenfest was welcomed by the Corporation and government alike, the sale of tanks interested people. Bases and slaves were being provided all along the south coast ready for possible war with the GASN.

The standard weapon of the Clandonian armed forces was the G36K selected because of its 5.56mm capacity. All products were being quickly bought up ready for war, civllians were being given G36E's for their home should the call rise to fight.

Across the water in Cravan, tensions must be arrising by now...

Tensions would be cooled down after the word of one and only Lord Marshall was sent out. Nobody that works for that evil Griffincrest Corporate is allowed on Dominion soil. That means the soil of Clandonia, too.

Those fools at Griffincrest and in their host nation, Blackhelm, nuked these lands. Lands that the Dominion rebuilt up with their own money and hands. They would be ordered out of the area and land. The Dominion Commonwealth comes first, so Lord Governor Lancer would listen to the word of the Lord Marshall.

TO: Lord Governor Lancer
FROM: The Lord Marshall

Hey, what are you thinking? You are allowing people on your lands after they nuked you. What are you on? You got to be on something.

Those Griffincrest fools are not allowed on Dominion soil and your soil is classified as that soil. So…you know what, they will get out or I will use force to get them out.

Understand?

~ The Lord Marshall.

-----------------------------------

From inside the re-built Commonwealth state of Clandonia, a radio message was sent out to all known Griffincrest forces on the land and in the water. The voice was from the Count himself and the location of the message was all over the place. There were millions of places that it was coming from, if somebody was trying to track it down. It would take a long time for somebody to find the original location.

“Greetings, you have twenty-four hours to leave Dominion soil and waters. You’re now in that soil and water. You’re the ones that nuked these lands and you’re not welcome here. You have twenty-fours hours or you will be forced out by my soldiers. I don’t think you have ever meet a Dominionite in battle and I don’t think you want to meet one. Twenty-fours hours to get out of the area.”

-----------------------------------

Back in the Dominion, soldiers were getting prepared to move out to Clandonia to force the Griffincrest mercenaries out of said nation. Naval ships were being prepared to force out the Griffincrest Navy in Dominion waters. Bombers were getting ready to do the same thing. What’s going to happen?

OOC: Sorry, Blackhelm, you’re not welcome in Clandonia for the fact that you nuked them with 32 nukes. Do the smart thing, it will save you lives. And storm the land in New Atlanta, if you want to. I never send people back there because I didn’t want to. So, it's empty.

The Caliph has announced today that Icovir would've gotten involved with this except for one reason. Quote:

We would get involved into this, but knowing our luck we'll be pit against superpowers such as Emporer Pudu. So, we'll leave Griffincrest with one little warning:

You attack or hurt us or in any way, shape, or form, we'll just remind you how we still have control over that little island called Bahrain.

The publicity of the Griffincrest deployment reached UNNS ears eventually. Already worrying over the threat of a CA invasion on the GASN states within Nova Europa, Clandonia's possible change of alleigance was going to give the Naashan Sussex delegates even more to discuss.

Back home, local newspapers were featuring a brief comment from Gregor Radinar, UNNS Operations Director, taken from a question at a press conference. Already it had been picked to pieces over and over again, as all news regarding Clandonia Prime seemed to be.

"I don't think there is much concern over international threats to the country, now that the old government is on the run. The news of these latest Corporate Alliance buildups within Clandonia certainly worries us though. Tensions appear to be soaring ever higher between the CA and the GASN, which doesn't bode well for the three GASN nations located in Nova Europa."

"Naturally we aren't going to go and pick fights, the idea of that is laughable, but we will contest any Clandonian deployment in Nova Europa, and will support the NEAMC in any way we can if our fears are realised and one of the GASN nations is invaded."

The Count didn’t like this message. His first thought was to kill Lancer on the spot for disobeying an order. But that would do anything good for the Commonwealth state. So, being as calm as he could, he wrote a message back.

TO: Lord Governor Lancer
FROM: The Lord Marshall

Allow me to tell you something about those fools, they are money taking, oil barons that invade nations for the oil. And the cowards that nuked your own lands.

As your Lord Marshall, I’m ordering you to kick them out of your lands before I do it myself. And when my soldiers do it, I’m going to replace you as the Lord Governor with somebody that has a brain.

Do it now!

"You're kidding me, right?"

"No, sir. Blackhelm forces are moving into Clandonia Prime."

"...God, it would be so easy. Two birds with one stone. Has their Dominion overlords said anything about this?"

"Not to our knowledge, President."

"Well, they technically havn't done anything wrong, even if those blackhelm sons of bitches and their terrorist lackies are there. Well, we can always wait for the smallest of a reason."

"Sir?"

"Get the military prepared. I want a large force readied for any action in Clandonia Prime. I want a million men readied, the most highly trained we have, and 50 fleets prepared. Once they are readied, which will take some time of course... Began shipping them out toward Clandonia Prime. Off-vector a bit, heading towards them but with a slightly off direction. Have them sit when they are a good, decent distance away."

"Sir, shouldn't you ask the council?"

"The council has agreed with me on the clandonian issue every time I've come to them. I will ask formal position for a declaration of war, if it comes to it. Dismissed!"

Secure Communication to the Griffencrest Corporation:

Due to the heightened situtation, we ask you to leave now due to the danger we feel such a high level of troops would mean a likely target. If the move is temporary, we will buy all the equipment that has been offered for sale as an offer of good will.

We are under pressure from the Dominion Commonwealth, we have many enemies we feel they may wish to invade soon.

We are upset that you have given into the bullying ways and threats to your sovereignty made by Transylvania, but we will agree to your demands. TO: The Leader of Chellis
FROM: The Count

If you are moving on Clandonia, I would ask you not to do that. Those terrorists from Griffincrest Corporate are being kicked out of that nation. They will not ruin the lands that the Dominion rebuilt after they were the ones that ordered the nuking of those lands.

I don’t know what’s up with Lord Governor Lancer, but he has to be on drugs.

Ah, well I got reports of fifty fleets or something like that of yours forming up to go somewhere. And the first thing I thought was…’Oh Shit! They going to Clandonia.’

The Griffincrest Corporate terrorists are being kicked out on their butts, so that problem is over. And I didn’t want this, but Clandonia is leaving the Corporate Alliance. The reason for that is because I put too much attitude in my message with Lord Governor Lancer.

Well keep your nose clean, Mr. President. And I’m sending a copy of my book to you, The Man, the Myth, the Legend: The Story of JWolf. It’s over five thousand pages, so it is not a short read. It starts from the beginning and ends an year ago.

In our attempt to somewhat standardize the CA nations, we are coming with to you with our proposal to upgrade your military. We willl allow you to trade in your SIG-552 and HK G36K for HK G36E's. These should be a marked improvement to your military, as the rifles you use now are smaller and more suitable for commando raids than for full out war. For the anti-tank weaponry, we are willing to make the trade for your Milan missiles, in return for the Javelin system that is standard amongst the Griffincrest ranks.

Next, we will take your 2,800 IFV's, and trade them in for our own Mercury APC's. You will quickly see the benefits of this upgrade, as the Mercury packs much more of a punch than the others, and has been used in the LBT role before.

In the artillery section, we are willing to take your L118 Light Guns and replace them with the Griffincrest standard G7 105mm gun, and replace your L121 with the heavier Mongoose 165mm gun.

Please respond soon,
Claudius Griffincrest

OOC: I'm trying to standardize things here. But the G7 is an improvement over the L118.

The L118 has a maximum range of only 17.2 km, while the G7 has a maximum range of 32 km, giving it the longest range of any 105mm gun out there, as welll as a good number of 155mm guns.

As for the guns, the guns you use are built to be used for mainly commando teams, and not for full out pitched battles. The G36E was made for battles, and has been picked up as the standard assault rifle of both the German and Spanish militaries.

Actually the germans use the plain G36 with the combo 3x and red dot scopes as opposed to the export G36E with the 1.5x scope

Um, Javelin is only a decade or so old, the Milan is a second generation missile from the 1970s.

You will quickly see the benefits of this upgrade, as the Mercury packs much more of a punch than the others, and has been used in the LBT role before.

Not even going to touch upon the finer points in the difference between light tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
