sorry LNI i was in a rush of sorts so i cant be blamed, and this isnt the first time youve come onto one of my threads and had a go at my punctuation, spelling etc

& I've come up with the main part of the story

The world of Gaia was once ruled over by the Empire of Ascalonia before it befell a great tragedy, the empire was destroyed by a great storm that engulfed the kingdoms of Areioa, Skathia, Tenet, Dronami, Ivafira & Manathu & Ascalonia

One hundred years later Gaia is rebuilding & Ascalonia now has rebuilt itself ..it is now ruled over by the mysterious Lord Vaendragun, a being who appeared the time of the storm and helped create the new empire

But now ascalonia threatens the other kingdoms and has occupied many, soldiers patrol the cities looking for artifacts... and peopel from all across Gaia now see the lord of Ascalonia as nothing but a cruel being...a band of people unite from all parts of Gaia to find these artifacts before the servants of Ascalonia bring them togther and possibly bring another storm this tiem more powerful

on their way they'll make new allies, make enemies, learn secrets about one another & about their world

Weaknesses: Not good with social skills, not very charismatic, and fairly low self-esteem
Bio/History: His family that once ruled the nation of Tenet is now slain by the forces of Ascalonia. He was one of four princes who was not bound for kinghood. But due to unfortunate circumstances, his entire family- the king, queen, his three brothers and sister- was slain while he could do nothing at the time but watch in horror as his life he knew was ended. Today, he is now a liberation fighter who goes across the continent attempting to topple the Ascalonian regime. He wields the sword his father used and wears his armor as well. But the question is, does he have the ability to do all of this on his own without the help of others?

Tenet,Areioa & Ivafira have all been invaded by Ascalonia

ill write up region info now and make a map soon and also races involved in the game Include

Human - many skin colours, live all across Gaia, they form the backbone of Ascalonia but numbers dwindle in the regions of Tenet & Areioa

Akravi - Cat like people, fond of the forests of Ivafira

Shaomon - Dwarf like people, live mainly in mountainous regions of Ascalonia

Tentian - Dark skinned human splinter race with pale blue eyes, masters of sea

Ares - Areioan naties, appearance similar to elves and long life spans

Druon - Vicious warrior race, look similar to lions/bears, their hierarchy builds up the griffin king an ancient being - native to Ivafira

Skathia and Manatu are home to many humans but also warrior mages - a race of monks and warriors united by their belief in the oath - a tablet that foresees a great one return to help them when darkness appears

Many of the monks are albino by birth those who are not born albino are classed as warriors, each class is equal as each class needs one another

Thamink - Small as dwarves but not as violent, the scholars of Ascalonia

He also wears a long black cloak with blue lining, this is held in place on his right shoulder with a white pin in the shape of a heart, and lastly he wears a blue scarf.
Strengths: Elsar is an excellent swordsman who possesses sustantial physical strength and rational thought, he can perform a number of acrobatic moves such as handstands and flips as well. Elsar is also ambidextrous and very loyal.
Weaknesses: Elsar can be stubborn and arrogant and also has a distrust of non-human races. Elsar also lacks magical ability in several aspects, such as healing and morphing.
Bio/History: Elsar was born in Tenet on the border with the Free Lands to a blacksmithing family and lived the first five years of his life in relative peace. However on one fateful day a band of Druon attacked Elsar's home village and killed most of the inhabitants.
Elsar swore revenge and prayed to the heavens to deliver him a chance, this was slow to come as Elsar wandered for weeks on end before stumbling into a village half-dead from starvation.
A kind old couple who had lost their children to disease took Elsar into their family and raised him for some years untill he turned twelve, on that day he proclaimed it was time for him to seek his destiny and walked out of the village, never to return.
Elsar wandered for a year before he met his destiny, in the form of a man named Kala Istam.
Kala was a soldier once and had given up his duty to become a mercenary for personnal reasons but he took the young Elsar under his wing and taught him the trade rules.
Elsar stayed with Kala untill he was twenty when he and Kala were both hired to fight against the Ascalonians, during the battle Kala was killed and Elsar was wounded and the battle was lost.
For a time Elsar thought it was the end as he lay staring up at the sunset, the dead and dying all around him. Yet somehow Elsar made it through the night and found the strength to stand on his own feet, for the second time in his life Elsar swore revenge on a group that had taken precious things from him.
Now two years later Elsar still fights against the Alcalonians, from ambushing soldiers to destroying supply carts and stealing shipments Elsar believes any action that draws blood from Ascalonia is justified.

oh yes i forgot the moogle, but id have thought moogle be more random occurences in the story, but feel free to suggest new races and creatures

Build: curvy, but well proportioned. Very different looking, looks like a human with moogle fur covering half her body and puff ball antennae of light pink. Face of a human with fur on the edges, but long strawberry blonde hair.
Weapon of Choice: Quarter Staff made from a nightshade bush
Clothing: Dark blue cloak, Long-sleeved dress in forest green with cream waistband. Dress has slits on the side just below her hips. Soft leather boots that go her lower thighs. Straw mage hat which holds her antennae upright.
Strengths: Great Magic user of both black and white magic (sort of like a red mage only without the outfit). Can create items when necessary, but prefers to buy them. Good bargain hunter. Sings beautifully.
Weaknesses: Not the greatest of physical fighters. Doesn’t talk about her parents. Quick temper. Easily swayed by her emotions.
Bio/History: Kiri was born somewhere but won’t tell anyone. She also refuses to discuss her past (haven’t written one yet). Currently in Ivafira looking for some ingredients for an item she is making. Lives in a wagon that she travels in from place to place. A moogle travels with her, but is not one of her parents. She is still considered an apprentice, but by human standards she is a mage. Go figure moogles have other standards.

Bio/History: Been traveling with Kiri for about ten years as her mentor and teacher. No one knows his past. But he is searching for something...

But with other major events too.

the three kingdoms were invaded simultanosly as to stop one another form coming to their aid, Ascalonia is the largest kingdom with a large popluation and strong military

but tenet was the last to fall..the battle with tenet lasted over 2 years as they were the 2nd largets kingdom and so the peopel there are less friendly to Ascalon/Ascalonian Empire

and the moogle idea is very odd but ill allow itr

we need say 2/3 more characters of diff races now and then we can join, the action shall start in Skathia & Tenet city..and elsewhere you cna choose, but we need the group to agree on a place to start, im nearly done on the map

Bio/History: Born son of tribe cheiftain, but when village was slaughtered by Ascalonian troops, Kthagon fled when he was only 28 seasons old. Lived alone many seasons. Grew to be excellent fighter through necessity. Still troubled by past and looks for the officer responsible for slaughtering the village.
Kthagon spent many seasons as a mercenary in Tenet, fought in the battle to defend the capital city and survived by being knocked out and carried away by Tenet troops.


I vote that we start in southern Manatu and we hold off an Ascalonian attack party near the border with Areioa and then we move into Areioa and meet up with some resistance to help free Areioa from the Ascalonians

Bio/History: Born the last son of Lord Bahnak of the Iron Axe Clan of the Horse Stealer Druon. Raised in the capital city Hurgrum, and reasonably well educated. Known as the Bloody Hand as a result of a friends' satirical poem, the Lay of Bahzell Bloody Hand. The song was so titled because of several incidents, each resulting in Bahzell generally leaving town with a bleeding or broken hand. As a champion of the Druon God Tomanak(feel free to insert the name of whatever war god you feel appropriate), God of Justice and War, he can heal the wounded, as well as detect lies, and sense the presence of evil. It also results in him generally being a paladin, and acting like a damn fool. Speaks simply, but has great intelligence behind his ignorant facade.

Weakness: He suffers from a gambling problem and often has a smart mouth and doesn't think things all the way through.
History: Atticus left his home at a young age, choosing the life of a bandit and a pirate over working as a farmer. He lived on a pirtae galley and raided several Ascalonian ships and a few ports. However, he blows alot of his earnings off on women and a a good time. Recently after the galley he was on was attacked and destroyed he escaped and is on the run from Ascalonian authorities. He currentley has a large bounty on his head.

Ascalonia

Bio: A nation once ruled by the noble Ascalon family, their empire expanded through peace and arts until the day of the great storm, ever since that day the ruler has been Lord Vaendragun, a mysterious being whose power no one lknows its ends, some claim he he channels the power of the sky lord Bahamut but those are myths..ever since the fall of Gaia he has strived to create a new empire in his image, an empire string and devoid of the weaknesses he saw in the time of the Ascalon family, a nation of warriors was created and now 14 years after the three kingdoms of Tenet, Areioa & Ivafira feel and 16 years since the great storm Ascalonia threatens to conquer all of Gaia unless Lord Vaendragun can be stopped.

Tenet

The second largest kingdom to Ascalonia, once proud warriors and artists now just a ragtag of freedom fighters fighting to restore their nation but the last known king died with no heir..so the stories say

The Thamino XIII Resistance Core named in honour of the last king of tenet strive to free their nation but against the horde of Ascalonia they are losing a battle they fear they cannot win

Areioa

The natives , the Ares, are elf like, mainly because they are the last known descendants of the elves that once watched and guarded Gaia from darkness

When the elven kind decided to leave Gaia to men and other races the Ares abandoned them and chose to remain in Gaia as it was their world more than anyone elses and so Areioa was formed but their ancient powers of summoning have all but dwindled and they have scoured Gaia for those with the powwer to join them as such several Ares have had children of mixed birth, many feel it is diluting their heritage others believe it is helping secure their futures in n uncertain world..Areioa fell first to the empire

Ivafira

A world much similar to the mountains and forest of Areioa but divided into two kingdoms, the bear, wolf & lion like Druon and The more graceful feline like Akravi..these two have existed side by side for centureies but know their cultures are now different for the lion Druon breed was once the guardians of the Akravi but chose to be one with the Druon gods

Ivafira though is a human world, its kingdom ruled over by a human and although they number few to the Druon & Akravi they hold the seat of power, that was until the empire attacked, now human, Druon and Akravi ally themselves againt the Empire

Manatentia

A region the empire has yet to reach, its people are swarthy, dark skinned but masters of the sea and the water, they worship Leviathan who brinsg them bounty each year

Legends say that worlds end will happen when the people of the water rise up and join the fight for the life of Gaia..but myths are only myths...not many of these

The tentian people's way of life has not been tuched for a millenia..who knows if they even exist anymore

Skathia

In Skathia three races live side by side, dwarves, men and Mirkers

The dwarves have two classes, the scholars and the warriors, the scholars are called Shaomon, many have left Skathia which is the next logical target and have fled to bolster the ranks fo the Ascalonian scholars and the Thuruk, the warrior dwarves who have pledged to stand and fight for their people

The skathians themselves are humans, the warriors of the skathians are usually normal appearnce whiel the monks themselves are albinos, few monks remain but are blessed with perfect skills of white magic and use of control of ice and fire as the region is mountainous and frozen

The Mirkers though are a form of Druon/Akravi beings that have evolved, no one know their true origin but they appear human but have obvious animal traist such as tails, claws, fangs in some and animal eyes

Many Skathians and Mirkers have crossbred and have produced offspring that appear to ahve the skills of both monk and mirker , traits highly valued in Skathia

The Plague Lands

A region that was destroyed greatly many millenia ago by the war of souls, a conflict that brought new races into the world through dark deeds and also established the races and the world today..many have forsaken the plague lands for they believe the darkness comes form there, travellers who have sen the plague lands returned scarred and changed

Soem say the very darkness itself has manifested into a being called "the heartless" and an army now waits within the ruins of the old elven city of Mishnir

Mnay claim orcs, trolls and fell beasts swarm the land but also the descendants of ancient man live alongst its dunes and rocky outcrops..they are called "the forgotten"

Free Lands

The free lands are ruled by no oen and governed by no one, it is bandit terrtory, many attempts have been made to bring the free lands under the rule of several empires but always the bandits win..many villages reside here and so do many races form all across Gaia..it is a veritable trading ground of sorts

It would be a greatsword for anyone else. He's closer to 8 feet than 7, so a 5foot sword is no big thing. Most people would be struggling to wield it one handed, but most could heft it two handed. Thus it would be considered by most observers to be a greatsword.

I'll be starting in...Ivafira, where I plan to wreak untold havoc, before running like a bitch. Again. As that is my modus operandi. Kill everything and run like hell, repeat as necessary until the desired result is achieved or I die.

The logical choice is somewhere in the Free Lands. If we're going to be hammering at the empire like I expect, it's the only place we'll be able to base out of reliably.

ok then ive decided, we are all to meet up at Minas Village which on the map is 10 its easy for everyoen to reach and so once everyoen has stated that they agree then i will begin the new thread

*coughCloudcough* It's quite possible to reach the first boss almost totally uninjured. On the other hand, that's not my plan. He has to at least be bleeding... :p

Anyways, the caracter is described in my first post, and well, he's young and inexpirienced... so he has a rather funny way of fighting (kinda like Jackie Chan)... he usually kills his enemies by mistake more than by skill. So, yes he got a lot of good weapons, but that shouldn't be a problem, like I wrote on the IC thread. :)

Questioningly could there be a Druon god, or another Druon god if there's one already? I can't recognize most of those names.

And if you do add a Druon god, who's going do get the orb? The Empire, is it in a Druon shrine somewhere? or perhaps someone *cough*me*cough* could have it.

Okay Elsar respects the strong so I'm gonna have us have a little fight, nothing serious and I hope neither of us gets hurt. I just couldn't resist the call of the moment. If your guy holds out for a while then Elsar won't hate him...As much. It'll take some time to get rid of his anti-lion-duon feelings and they'll probably never go fully, but like all prejudices he can have exceptions.
But on a sidenote did you notice that both our guys have a similar reason for fighting? both are fighting because the Ascalonians took everything from them.
Remember you have to see this through Elsar's eyes, one moment he is walking down the street, the next he sees a Druon who's just taken out a score of men.

final battle leads to the island of nova gaia, no oen knows of it in Gaia..its hidden and the next destination shall be Urundiel in Areioa, then to Firalicia in ivafira before heading to Ascalonia and to Tengmar Vale and then to the free lands once more the rest i shall explain soon
