SECRET IC:
SCENE: Imperial Throne Room
George stood just outside the door to the throne room. Ready to give his press conference. The actual throne had been pushed back roughly 20 foot to make way for the podium that would take it's place. The over 2,000 seats in the room were filled with reporters from all across the world. He watched on a small closed circuit camera monitor to see that they all were anxious for his arrival, talking amoungst themselves. There was 5 minutes before the schedualed time for the press conference to start. He looked over the notes he had written out and then glanced back over to the monitor.
He looked back at the monitor and then to the clock. It was time for him to make his grand enterance. He walked over to the door cautiously and then waited for someone to introduce him. A voice came over the intercom system in the throne room, it was loud and booming and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen. The Supreme Emperor of the Dark Empire of Shazbotdom. Mr. George A. Loak." At that the door opened and George stepped through it, waveing at the reporters sitting around the room, then standing in front of the podium, behind the bullet proof glass that encased it, ensuring that a bullet from any direction in the croud doesn't come close to him.
George shuffled a few papers around then spoke into the microphone.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. I come to you under a time of great stress for the international community. It seems that there is a move being made. Reports from our allies across the world shows that a group of nations and corporations under the leadership of the Griffencrest Corporation are beginning to mobilise their forces. As of this moment the Dark Empire has nothing to do but to upgrade our DEFCON rating to 3. Upgraded security is becomming evident at the airports as you might have noticed and our coastal security forces are moving to a higher aleart status."
George clears his throat and switches pages.
"Let it also be known that we are to take no offensive actions against any member nation or corporation of this Corporate Alliance. We feel that we should only take military action if we are threatened and there is no clear threat to our nation. Although in the event of a GASN member nation falling under the attack of the Coproate Alliance, we will move troops in to defend that nation. Right now we have reports from our Spy Satelite network that aircraft have moved across the territorial boundries of The World Soviet Party and are dangerously close to our allies in Cravan. We will be watching these events as they unfold and will take action if it is deemed nessicary."
