With the Grand Council Hall of Sythis a meeting is taking place to discuss the prospect of Maraccedia being recognised as a true nation and being allowed to hold a seat on the Aesopian region council rather than it being completely comprised of Sythian members.

Chancellor Jirim Tabias procedes over the meet and having already gotten through the pleasantries and eager to strike the deal as the Emperor had commanded him to do, he speaks:

'It has come to my attention that the nation of Maraccedia has indeed have a good reason for laying claim to the lands within our region of Aesop, the government of Sythis is willing to listen to their proposals to be recognised and allowed a seat on our council, what does the delagate from Maraccedia wish to say?'

It is a mild, sunny, typical Maraccedian autumn. It is cloudless, but cold. Over the capital of Zaphyr City however, political storm clouds are erupting. The Prime Minister Lewis Finch presents the President Daniel Jeffery's proposal for membership of the Aesopolis community. He presents his notes on the stall, wets his lips with a glass of water, and then looks deep into the microphone as he looks at the horseshoe room. He goes over the works of the day to conclude.

"The Aesopolis Act will entitle the Commonwealth of Maraccedia into membership of the Aesopian community, which is being set forth by our friends in Sythis. Diplomatic ties are essential to our nation in this age, and this is vital to our future bonds with the world."

Prime Minister Finch pressed his laser pointer and noted the vote that had taken place amongst the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives Cabinet. It showed a stunning 86% had ratified the act, as had the President, and as such the Aesopolis Act would come into affect immediately.

David Lex, the Opposition Leader, looked into the eyes of the PM.

"May Sythis have mercy one us all."

Chancellor Jirim Tabias, Head of the Sythian Senate and Loyal Servant of the Almighty Emperor:

The Emperor sends his personal thanks to the people of Maraccedia for being reasonable in the acceptance of its part in the Aesopian community, he hopes that with the bonds formed between the two nations the region could become much more than was expected of it. He also notes that a representative on the Aesopian Council should be picked as soon as possible. A great statue is being built at the border of Sythis to commemorate this day and already a team has been set up to bring the old Aesopian flag from the time before the Wars back to life

"The Senate, however, wishes to know Maraccedias policy on war and immigration so that our own foreign policy may be checked to make sure there is no major disputes,"

The Maraccedian Government sends forth a copy of the Manifesto of the Maraccedian Liberal Party for the benefit of the reading of the Emperor and the Senate of the Republic of Sythis. However, we shall state our policies to make clear.

Immigration
"The Liberal Government of Maraccedia persues a policy whereby economic migrants are granted access to the country on a work permit...Economic migrants must pay a Migrants Tax of 10% every month in order to remain in the country...After 20 years of continued economic migrancy in Maraccedia, they are granted the right to abode in the Commonwealth of Maraccedia under a Accepted Migrancy Marracedian Passport (AMMP)...Maraccedia is not bound by the Geneva Convention and as such does not have the capability nor the want to receive foreign refugees...Illegal immigration is treated with deportation."

War and Defence
"The Liberal Goverment of Maraccedia takes seriously its responsibility to the defend the Maraccedian people from foreign and domestic threat. The Maraccedian Armed Forces is broken down by the Army, Navy and Air Force. The Armed Forces will are instructed to take part in humanitarian efforts around the world, as it is not a signitory of the Geneva Convention it needs to keep a strong presence to prevent a humanitarian crisis. If the nation comes under attack by terrorist factions or rogue states, the Armed Forces will strike at the origin of those threats to keep in mind it's primary objective of defending the Maraccedian people.

The Emperor has no problem with this and hopes that Maraccedia will help grow and protect Aesopian culture.
