With the untimely death of High Chancellor Stressan, The ruling body of Rilloras called an election. The results of the election was a total landslide for the ruling party, the Rillorian Imperial Party. Immediately in almost every major city, protests to the legitimacy of such an election were held. Many people believe that the government had merely staged an election and rigged the results. In Rilloria, a bout 8,000 protesters clashed with police forces. The Rillorian Imperial Guard were called into service. In the ensuing violence, 87 protesters were killed and more then 150 wounded. The Imperial Guardsmen used live ammunition along with several armored vehicles to disperse the protest. The leaders of the defeated parties met in Transgard, north of Rilloria to discuss the future. Within hours of the meeting beginning, Imperial Special Forces stormed the building and detained all those present as suspected insurgents. Following the news of the arrest of many major anti-imperial political players, insurgent attacks began to rise, culminating in the bombing of a city bus in Rilloria, killing 27 citizens. The Imperial Chancellorship, currently being led by an interim leader; Vice-Chancellor Croix, declared a state of martial law and banned all political organizations except the ruling Rillorian Imperial Party.

Canadtu Foreign Affairs:

The U.N member-state Canadtu worries about the violence that has occured in the nation of Rilloras and we ask the Rilloras government to allow 1,200 U.N troops from Canadtu to arrive to protect civilians that may be caught up in the violence as well as 40 election monitors who can take evidence and count the vote with Rilloras election monitors so that opposition parties have no excuse for violent as an independent party has recounted the votes. The nation of Canadtu hopes Rilloras accepts this solution.

The Vice-Chancellor respectfully accepts the offer of peacekeepers from Canadtu, however the election results are sanctioned by the government as the true election results, therefore there is no need for monitors. You may have your troops arrive at Rilloria International Airport, where they will be bussed to Tulov Army Base in Rilloria to be housed there.
