Okay so heres the deal...you vote on the leader. the one who gets the most votes wins.

Candidate One: Colonel Mehmet Bengazi
Party: The West African Prosperity Party
History: Served in the military from an early age. Led the assault on the Government HQ in Bamako during the civil war and captured Ahmet Ozkan Siid, the leader of the oppressive old regime. Half Taureg, he appeals to most of the nation with his military and cultural Background. Strong believer in the PAC (Pan-African Conference) and agrees with most other African nations.

Candidate Two: Doctor Boko Im'Garo
Party: The Socialist Labor Party
History: Lived in Former Burkina Faso up to the Invasion by the CWAA. He returned from exile in Liberia after Aziz was assassinated. He believes in a slightly more isolationist policy compared to Bengazi. Also belives in military cutbacks. He belives that Social Welfare is better than more jobs. (Military related jobs including factory workers, soldiers, engineers and technicians) He belives that the CWAA should focus more on farming and such than protection.

Issues:
Reconstruction-With the Civil War over, much of the CWAA is needed to be rebuilt.

The Free Alliance-With the old regime and its loyalists all but destroyed, what remained of the Loyalist Army fled to the desert. It is believed they are preparing a counterattack. Reports of whole villages being destroyed by Loyalists in the North lay unconfirmed.

ooc: I remember something like this. Only Warta Endor's elections had 6 parties, and different nations could fund the partiesd. Tenebricosis sunk millions into the Communist party, and I sunk as many millions into the facist party.

Good times...

SIC: The Emirate lends the West African Prosperity Party a random sum of money to help with campaigning and hopes that their elections are favorable to them, all the while wondering what happened to General Ungawa...

SIC:

The Asian China Communist Party, ACCP, helps the Party of Labour of Burkina (info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_of_Labour_of_Burkina)) with refounding the Marxist Leninist party with help from the former Union of Burkinabè Communists (info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_of_Burkinab%C3%A8_Communists)).

The sum is unknown, but it's a fairly large sum. The money is not used for an ordinary campaign, but more to rebuild the party and gaining power using unusual tools...

This is a good idea Candastan. I may have to steal your idea for my general elections since the fall of Tsalo tutu.

OOC: So far Bengazi is winning. If you havent voted yet, go for it, we need more votes. And to all of those who are wondering where General Ungawa is, under the new constitution (Which I will write up soon) proclaims that a council of generals will choose the commander in chief, and they picked ungawa. So he's out somewhere mopping up Loyalist scum in the sahara:)

Okay...who thinks this is the only votes I will get in? If it is, then Bengazi is the leader. So, if you dont like him, you have 12 hours from this exact time to vote.

OK, I'm voting for Doctor Boko Im'Garo.

IC:
The Party of Labour of Burkina is now up and running. They are getting more and more members as the recruitment campaign goes on. They are finding out scandals about the two other candidates, and publish the stories in newspapers and spreads the story out by flyers.

They are promising a great social welfare program, including free medical services, if they win the elections. They are going to lower the taxes for workers and raise the income tax for rich people, earning above $45,000 per year. Is it fair that a managing director gets the same monthly salary, as you and your wife gets together in a year? is one of their big slogans.
