Communique from the Empire of Kommaddka

'In the name of the Emperor Reynolds-Darlington I, servant upon earth of God most merciful and wise.'

'Following democratic elections for the Imperial Parliament, the majority Imperial Liberal Party has passed legislation (with the blessing of the Most Wise Emperor) to end the Imperial isolation and move onto the world stage in a more proactive stance.'

'To this end, the Empire of Kommaddka wishes to open diplomatic relations with the nations of the world.'

'The Kommaddkan Empire is a Constitutional Monarchy that developed from an English heritage following the colonialisation periods of the 18th Century. Situated on an island roughly the same size and shape as the United Kingdom overlooking a continent similar to Europe, the Empire maintains similar locational names by the original settlers, bar the use of the prefix 'New' before city names.'

'The Imperial Liberal Party wishes to develop the economic structure of the Empire to combat the problems of the 21st Century. To this end, the Empire wishes to extend diplomatic and economic relations with other countries in order to assist in the development of its own industries through technological processes and foreign investment gained in this manner. In the long-run, the Empire wishes to develop economic self-sufficiency in several areas of supply, but recognises this as incompatible with short-term investment.'

'We therefore invite countries to address themselves to the Imperial Ministry for Relations Abroad to propose diplomatic and economic relations for mutual benefit between our nations.'

As well, we wish to tell you up front that we are a number of nations dedicated to helping to preserve the seat of monarchs, but only if those monarchs truly rule in the name of the people as the greater good, and also looks out for outer member nations and will do its best to help any member.

Our Parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favour of perusing relations with your nation and propose that ambassadors be located in each other capitals to further discuss our fledgling relations.

We would be most eagar to discuss the signing of a trade pact and cultural promotion initiative to help our peoples become acquainted with our new friends.
