The United Imperial Dominion of Deatharon was formed several decades after the fall of the old Von Antheron dynasty. The Kldath’u, a race of genetically engineered super parasites created by the Imperium’s need to create the perfect soldier, managed to escape from their holding cells and begun an unstoppable assault on their creators. These creatures were not only sentient but sentient absorbing, they developed a powerful telepathic hive mind and began to hunger not just for the enemies of the Empire but also it’s subjects. The Imperium collapsed after the Kldath’u managed to over run the Imperial home world of Deatharon. The survivors retreated back to their colonies in the farthest reaches of the Imperium’s borders. The once proud Deatharons were now weakened and most of their super human leaders were dead or being devoured as living hosts to their diabolical creations. The leader of this group, Marius Von Kraken declared himself of Emperor of the Dominion. The United Imperial Dominion was founded on that day.
Government:
The United Imperial Dominion is a feudal Empire consisting of thirteen systems. These systems are controlled by an Imperial Duke or Duchess. The Duke or Duchess appoints the leaders of the inhabitable planets in the system. These Planetary Barons are the result and they control the day to day affairs of the planet for their overlords. The Dukes and Duchesses pay allegiance and taxes to their supreme leader the Emperor Marius Von Kraken. The Emperor is the supreme sovereign leader of the Dominion. His word is law but he allows his vassals to run the day to day affairs of his Dominion..
Economy:
The United Imperial Dominions economy is massive. The Imperial Dominion relies extensively on the prosperity of the various trade guilds. The Guilds are owned by various trading guilds and they establish firm and efficient monopolies on all trade within the Imperial Dominion. The government has no hand in the trade guilds but they all pay taxes to the lords and ladies on whom planet or system they practice their skills. This leads to extensive taxes on the part of the guild not to mention bribes to avoid Imperial attention of treason or to gain favor with their local lords or ladies. The Guilds also employ the majority of the civilians within the Imperial Dominion keeping them with jobs and able to pay their rent and taxes.
Races:
Deatharons: These are the genetically engineered humans of Deatharon. They still make up the ruling caste in society. Marius Von Kraken is also one and has only employed his own kind to rule over the billions of humans in his service. They are in the minority but still command a lot of respect for their increased strength and intellect compared to their human inferiors.
Humans: The majority of the survivors that survived the Kldath’u assault. They make up the majority of the labor force within the United Imperial Dominion. They are usually work for the guilds and serve in the majority of mundane positions in the Imperial Dominiom.
Clones: The heart and soul of the United Imperial Dominion’s military forces. The original survivors were far to weak in population numbers to make a decent fighting force to begin with. The Emperor thus decreed the creation of clone humans to serve as foot soldiers and naval officers in order to provide a quick and very stable military force. The clones took twenty years to complete but the United Imperial Dominion now has a extremely huge force of human clones that are trained solely for ground and space warfare.
Systems:
Rakalstad: The original meeting point of the majority of the survivors. The refugees agreed to make their last stand here against the Kldath’u Harvester Hive Fleets. The wait has been roughly forty years ago and no Kldath’u forces have come. The Emperor has made this his throne system and as such has the most advanced technology available from the old Empire. It has three inhabitable planets. The planet’s capital world of Rakalstad III, The clone production labs of Rakalstad II, and the heart of Imperial Industry the planet Rakalstad V and it’s three Tera-formed moons.
Makoris: The Makoris system is the primary military mobilization point of the Dominion. The system contains a massive super gate that allows ships to travel into different galaxies and dimensions. The system is also the heart of the trade guilds power as it provides them with the ability to trade outside of the Dominion. The United Imperial Dominion has four inhabitable planets in this system. They are Korval II, a large cloning facility that manufactures and trains millions of clone soldiers and naval personal. The Planet Tarsoni IV, is an Imperial Star naval facility. It is also were the Imperial High Command is located. The third planet is Korvasa III is the home of the trade guilds.
The guilds all build and maintain several commercial fleets that trade within and out of the Dominion. The planet serves as a base of power and provides construction facilities to help build and repair ships in the commercial fleets. Tyrania, is frozen world that provides a suitable training ground for Snow Troopers and for artic combat. Imperial Dominion forces often undergo several wargames and have many thermal underground cities that support the colonists that choice to live here. The atmosphere is breathable despite the fact it is like living in the artic circle..
The other eleven shall be posted later...…
