The daughter of the Emperor Reginald, sister to the current Emperor Olaf, has now come to the age in which in the reckoning of the long lived Valgardian high houses come to age and also in that she now desires to marry a powerful lord of a great nation. With that, her father and brother instead of marrying her to one of the mighty houses of the Valgardian kingdoms have desired to form an alliance with another nation through this marriage.

In that the Emperor Olaf has sent a message unto the international scene seeking appropriate suitors for his sister. As well, he sent a number of requirements with the message so as to keep the lines of Valgard of noble blood pure and keep the houses as prestigious and strong as they have been using the traditions which have kept the Empire alive for many thousands of years during both times of thick and thin.

OOC: Just to say I desire for everyone to state their purposes for marrying the princess as it will help determine who has the best mindset in marrying her, but if you do not you lose some credibility for your candidate in my eyes.

The Republican Monarchy wishes to wed the Princess to the Crown Prince for a couple of reasons. We hope these reasons are satisfactory.

The first reason is to further Granatian - Scandivan Alliance withing the Grand Imperial Alliance. We wish to keep our friend close, and what is closer then family? Family is very important in Granate and we beleive that it is as well in your country.

The second reason is that the Crown Prince is somewhat of a shy person. He doesn't make friends easily and and rarely talks to people he doesn't know. We believe that this union will open him up to the world and make him more open.

A little background on the Imperial line is that they are a house beyond ancient stretching back thousands of years and is also the ruling force of the Empire and holds a good deal of lands. Yet, to tell you the Imperial line has long only married other pure Valgardians, the ruling long lived nobility of my Empire who originate in the volcano warmed valley of Valgard, so this is a rare thing for them. As well, the Imperial line has passed for all those years from father to son and is also a very tradition bound family which advocates the role of the royal family in ruling the nation. Here's a little Backround on the Kleinheart line.

The Kleinhearts were one of the most powerful Lords in the time before the Unification of Granate. They held almost 1/6th of Granate's land before the War of a Thousand Lords. They were among the first to pledge support for Unification. Their troops were the ones who unified Granate. So they were made Kings.

Over the course of the next 500 years, the Kleinhearts would rise from Supreme Authority to high ranking politicians of a Republic to the Kings and Queens they are now. In truth the current line has been in power for only 150 or so years, but the family has been powerful for nearly 650.
